Mango snow ice is so yummy . I see others having matcha beignets which look so delicious but I had no room in my tummy. The decor is cute too. Will definitely be back!
Grace Street is one of the best places to get shaved ice cream in NYC. I cannot explain it, but the texture and flakiness of shaved ice cream (called shaved snow at Grace Street) is absolutely delightful in your mouth. Every time I visit NYC, I have to come here and get it. While the price is about 20$, it's absolutely worth it and they pile it high. It's meant to be shared, so make sure you come with your friends! Service is fast- they use a pager system to tell you when your order is ready to pick it up. While it's a little cold inside, it is extremely clean despite them serving lots of desserts everyday - there is someone who cleans all of the tables thoroughly. Cannot recommend more!
Hey friends! My coworker spoke very highly of this place so I had to check it out! They were absolutely right! I ordered a caramel matcha latte. It's the best matcha latte I've had yet! I definitely expected it to be delicious and authentic since it was a Korean cafe, but it definitely exceeded my expectations. +Customer service was friendly. +Atmosphere is lively. It was a very popular place even on a Tuesday! +No street parking close by. +Prices are average, I paid $7 for a small latte. I'm excited to return for a meal. I hope you enjoy.
A nice sit down dessert shop! It was very busy on a Sunday evening, but we got a table pretty quickly. My friends wanted to try the basque cheesecake, and I normally don't really like cheesecake, but this one was so yum. I think I might be starting to enjoy basque cheesecakes. We got the original flavor, and it wasn't too sweet, it was soo good! We also tried the mango bingsoo, which came out to be smaller than the pictures made it seem. Nonetheless it was delicious, the snow was very soft, and the mangos were sooo juicy and sweet. I appreciated that they used real mangos.
Every time I have walked up the street from my hotel the past few days there is this giant sign, like the size you use as a bus stop poster, literally me-sized that makes me want 1) to visit Hawaii again and 2) to get a shaved ice. And I'm from Maryland (Murlyn), I don't mean a sno-ball. I mean that flaky, instantly melting ice carved mechanically using some kind of drill motor with all the torque, off a block the size of a dorm fridge and then topped with syrupy fruits and condensed milk and such. And this wasn't that either, but I now need to find a place for this near me. It was more like regular ice cream at a soft-serve consistency, topped with all the things-- that part was as expected. Hubs & I were thinking of getting two different things but we both wanted the mango madness, and then the checkout person said it was the size of a quart container. So just one then. I wish we got to see it being made up but it was full in there (at 10p, after the theaters let out), and they seated us and gave us a buzzer that went off almost immediately. We almost didn't finish it even between the two of us. Absolutely delicious, just overwhelmingly enormous. It could be a low-grade food challenge to complete it! And with all that fruit, actual mango chunks and a banana, it's practically a healthy snack. Gotta find one of these closer to home!

I love Grace Street. It's a consistently yummy spot for desserts -- over the top sugary sweets done right! I've always enjoyed their shaved ice desserts and highly recommend the mango version. It is bursting with mango flavor, fruit and popping boba. Highly recommend the brûlée brioche toast with ice cream, boba and Thai tea drizzle. It's as overwhelming as it sounds in all the right ways! Grace Street is a great spot to share a dessert or two with a friend. Highly recommend!
After a concert at MSG, we were in search of dessert. Since Koreatown is nearby, we headed there. My daughter came here with a friend previously so we went. Upon entering, you place your order at the register, they give you buzzer. Inside, there is plenty of table and bar height seating and they buzz you when your dish is ready for pickup at the back counter. It is a well lit space. There is water available if you want some. We ordered the strawberry shortcake shaved snow and it was huge and delish! It was big enough for us to share. Prices are a little high but worth trying!
When you go in here it's a small counter to order at then you get your buzzer and go into the dining area. The dining area has so so much seating, perfect for hanging out with family or friends. There is 2 restrooms that were very clean. The ice creams were great and worth the price. The beignets were okay, they were hot and fresh but a little dense for me
What does one do when one is stuffed to the gills with dumplings and tea? Why, walk two blocks in the bitter cold to Grace Street for dessert. Naturally. My friend made it a point of asking if I'd be hungry for dessert, as we had just started tucking into the feast of dumplings we'd ordered at Nan Xiang. I, in my hubris, answered to the affirmative - "there's always room for dessert!" before feeling my ribs expanding with all the food. Still, he *really* wanted dessert, and he *really* wanted to share Grace Street with me, and I just couldn't say no to him. At least he didn't guilt me into ordering a dessert of my own. He knew what he wanted going in: the Ho-Dduk (Korean donuts) served hot with ice cream and a drizzle of honey. I looked at the menu, I did. But there was no part of me that wanted to try to cram more food into my face, delicious as their menu looked. And yet I somehow ended up with a spoon of my own, giving in to my friend's insisting that I try the Ho-Dduk myself. And I did, at least a couple of bites. It was good - hot and sweet balanced with cold and creamy - but I didn't do more than nibble before setting my spoon down and pushing myself away from the small table. Plus, I knew my friend wanted to end the evening with his favorite dessert and I didn't want to eat it all. Yeah. That was why. Anyway, I never would've found this spot had it not been for him, and I don't think I would have ventured in alone, either. The front of the store is deceptively small, so I was quite surprised by how big the dining room area was. It was loud and lively, but we found a table with no issues.

When I found out the cheesecake at Grace St was $15 almost 2-3 times the cost of cheesecake from places like Veniero's or Eileen's (which in my opinion are top tier cheesecakes) I was a bit skeptical about Grace Street and their cheesecake. Anyway, I ordered the matcha cheesecake to go. The place itself was rather busy but the to go service was fairly quick. The matcha cheesecake was very good and very unique. It was fairly dense as compared to the cheesecakes I mentioned, which is think is why it's more pricey. I would go back to dine in and try their other cheesecakes.
Hands down, the best burnt cheesecake I've ever tasted! My fiancé loved it just as much as I did. It was definitely on the pricier side, but honestly, I'd go back and buy 10 more--that's how good it was! The cheesecake had the perfect combination of textures. The top was beautifully burnt and caramelized, while the inside was soft, creamy, and deliciously gooey. It was subtly sweet without being overwhelming, which made it even better. I can only imagine how amazing it would be paired with a cold glass of milk! And the coffee? Whew! That coffee woke me all the way up. I felt like I could sit down and write 10 college essays in an hour. I was energized, focused, and ready to take on the world! The dessert was absolutely delicious, the coffee gave me the boost I needed, and the whole experience left me happy. I'd definitely come back for that cheesecake again!
We came here after dinner for some dessert. It looks like a self-serve place but they have table service. The tables are quite odd and not all the same. We ended up with a table that can be shared with others, which is fine, but I would prefer a table to ourselves. Might be a wait if you want your own private table. We ordered the sweet milk flavor snow fluff ($10). It's like an in between of ice cream and shaved ice. It comes in green tea and sesame flavor as well. You get to choose three toppings. We went with dulce de leche, oreos, and red bean. There are a great variety of toppings to choose from. It wasn't huge, just the right size for 2 people. But you would think it'd be bigger for the price. I didn't love or hate it. They have a policy where both people have to order something. But they were lenient when we said we are ordering the snow fluff.
So after having lunch in New York's Chinatown and taking a stroll through little Italy, we took a subway ride to New York's K-Town or aka as Korea Town. Upon arrival we noticed the difference in crowds. Not as busy and packed sidewalks. Also it was a lot cleaner than Chinatown. Since we just ate at C-Town, it was time to find a good dessert place in K-Town. So we walked and we walked until I saw a banner sign showing shaved ice desserts. Then I noticed the name of the business is Grace Street. How fitting, because that is my wife's name. So we went in and what caught my eye was a mango shaved ice with mangoes, mochi, strawberries, and condensed milk, however I was over ruled by my wife and we went with the black sesame and mochi and condensed milk. It also had red bean, but that had to be on the side, since that gives me gout. Such nice staff taking orders and we went into the dining area to find a seat. What a large spacious area with many tables. Our order came out and it looked so good. The black sesame shaved ice or snow as it's also referred to as, was perfectly sweetened by the condensed milk and the chewy mochi. Definitely cleaned my pallet from our Chinese lunch and it helped cool me down from the New York heat. We got water, but there was no ice offered, so I asked one of the workers and he was kind enough to get me some. We are through that dessert like, if we didn't finish it fast, it was going to melt. We did not give it a chance to melt one bit. The staff here are efficient, as they saw we were done, they asked to clear our dessert bowl away. It was a nice experience even if it was just dessert. Grace Street is a quick-service go-to in Koreatown for a sweet treat or afternoon snack. Our Mango Madness shaved snow hit the spotand was MASSIVE! The generous serving had creamy, silky layers and was easily enough for the two of us to share. Sweet, light, and refreshing. Plenty of seating, generous portions, and a stop here never disappoints! Located on 32nd St, between Broadway & 5th Ave Train: 34 St-Herald Sq (N/Q/R/W); also an easy walk from Penn Station. Came to try the Dubai Chewy Cookie, and it was pretty much what I expected. It wasn't overly sweet, which I liked, but it didn't really stand out. I just wish it had a stronger nutty flavor. 7/10. There was plenty of seating inside, and the service was quick. You order at the counter near the entrance, then head into the dining area and pick up your order from the bakery counter. read more

I stumbled upon Grace Street while walking through K-Town and I'm so glad i did! They have the most amazing basque cheese cake I've ever had. It was a snow day but they still had a line out the door. I got the original basque burnt cheesecake. The cheesecake was very decadent, moist, and flavorful. It tasted like leche flan and had texture similar to a firm flan. At ~$15 for a mini, it's definitely pricey but it's good so you aren't tempted to eat it too often. I highly recommend and will definitely come back! read more
I stopped by Gray Street as part of a little dessert run through Flushing, Woodside, and even Chinatown--so I came in with pretty high expectations. I ordered the Basque burnt cheesecake, which was priced at $15. For me, that felt a bit steep considering I've tried quite a few standout desserts in the area at similar or lower price points. The cheesecake itself had all the right flavors--rich, slightly caramelized, and creamy--but it just didn't quite hit that "wow" factor I was hoping for. That said, the space is really nice. It's comfortable, modern, and definitely a good spot to hang out with friends or get some work done with Wi-Fi. The atmosphere might actually be the highlight here--it's inviting without feeling cramped, which is a big plus in this neighborhood. Overall, I'd say I was a bit disappointed with this first visit, especially given how strong the dessert scene is nearby. I personally prefer a few other spots when it comes to cheesecake, but I wouldn't write Gray Street off just yet. I'll be back to try another item on the menu--I've heard good things, so maybe I just didn't pick their best offering this time. Stopped by Grace Street while looking for something sweet and a little different, and this definitely fit the bill. We saw the milk tea boba toast on the menu and had to try it. It came out as a thick piece of deep-fried toast topped with ice cream, boba, caramel popcorn, and strawberries on the side. Not healthy at all, but really good. It's one of those desserts you probably wouldn't get every day, but worth trying at least once. Fun to share and definitely something different from the usual desserts. read more

I love grace street for dessert so much, just wish there wasn't always a line. The matcha waffle, ho-dduk, milk tea boba toast, matcha beignets, and cheesecake are all amazing. The ho-dduk has a great brow sugar filling, the beignets are perfectly crispy, and the cheesecake is so creamy and has great flavor. There is usually a line; when we went at 7:30 on a Saturday it was very short and moved quickly. We were seated in 15 min. The line takes you to a cashier where you order first, then some staff hand you a buzzer to pick up your food later and direct you to a table. read more

This was some of the best bingsoo I've had, and I've been spoiled with a lot in LA. We tried the mango and it was delicious, and the perfect size to share with 3 people. The matcha beignets were also pretty good and came with ice cream! I would definitely come back if I'm in the city. read more
Great café with a selection of drinks and pastries. On my last visit, I ordered to go, and they allowed me to sit inside while waiting for my order. Plenty of bar stool seating at first-come first-serve tables. They sell the viral chewy Dubai chocolate cookie, which is really more like a stuffed mochi. The dark a chocolate Mochi skin really held up the ultra stuffed shredded kataifi pastry & pistachio cream inside. It was crunchy, rich, nutty, chewy, and sweet. It really leaned into a variety of textures and flavors! Running at about $7 a piece, for a mochi roughly the size of a small tangerine, I would say that this delicate dessert is worth the price for the sensory and ASMR experience. After taking one bite, I really wanted more, and regret it only getting two cookies. Will definitely return to this Cafe to get more when I'm in the neighborhood. read more

Damnit the food was too good, I definitely gained weight from this visit. The matcha beignets do not have filling inside, it's only sprinkled with matcha powder on top. It is perfectly paired with ice cream and I over ate. No self control here. We tried the Dubai cookie, it's good. The first two bites are great but then it is too sweet and filling for me. I did eat everything so I was a bit overstuffed. At Grace street, I committed the sin of gluttony. Will I come back? Yes. I also bought a cheesecake to go. It was good. Store setup is brilliant. Drinks and food to stay are picked up inside, to go desserts are by the door where you order everything. Very efficient and there's plenty of seating inside. Great spot! read more
Honestly think the shaved ice is alright and I mostly come here out of convenience. There are better dessert spots but grace street is a classic. I recently went back for the dubai chewy cookie and thought it was super good! Would come back for this dessert alone. The bubble tea is alright. Basque cheesecake pretty good. Checked out Grace Street for dessert. We got the churro waffle, and it was pretty good. The warm waffle paired really well with the cold ice cream and caramel topping, creating a nice balance of flavors and textures. The portion was great for sharing, and it definitely satisfied our dessert cravings. Service was daily quick and efficient. I'd come back to try some of their other desserts since everything on the menu looked tempting. read more

Visiting from LA and wanted something sweet.. thanks to yelp, yelp sent me to Grace Street.. Food: ordered the Churro Waffles, Matcha beignets, and a strawberry lychee green tea. ALL were delicious. The churro waffles were served with a generous portion of vanilla ice cream and the matcha beignets were served with a generous portion of green tea ice cream. Both not too sweet, just perfection. While the hot strawberry lychee green tea was so fragrant and yummy. Service: I ordered theough doordash. Sobi cant say much aboutvthe service itself. However, i can say that when i recieved my order it was srill hot. And you can telk that ot was freshly made. Ambiance: since i ordered through doordash i am unavailable to describe. But through the pictures on yelp you can tell its a chill environment. Baruch favorite! A lot of students come here afterschool or if they're a fan of korean culture. This is the perfect place to go for dessert after getting dinner/lunch here. You order up front then go to the back to pick up your order and find a seat. They recently hopped on the dubai chocolate cookie craze and I have to say, it might be worth the $7. That or try to make it yourself. It's crunchy on the inside with the right amount of cocoa powder on the outside. It does stick to my mouth so careful not to choke on it. My previous go tos include the hodeok and the basque cheesecakes. They have a tiramisu flavor that's new but it was a bit expensive for my liking read more

Best tiramisu matcha latte I've ever had. We stop by here after lunch to get some dessert and I went for hot matcha latte. It was so delicious and pure. I love matcha and I've been drinking a lot of matcha lately trying from different places and honestly this is one of the best! They have lots of desserts that you can choose. They have some shaved iced, ube and a lot more. Fast service and great place to hangout with friends. Lots of chairs and tables. Its nothing fancy but it was good for simple spot to catch up with friends. Go stop by! read more
Really spacious interior with lots of seating makes it a great place to hangout. I tried their Dubai chocolate chewy cookie and it was really good. I haven't tried a lot of other versions of this, but my friends also claim that Grace St makes it better than other places. I think it's worth to try. The marshmallow exterior is thin and they do not skimp on the inside filling. They wrap it up really nicely and individually. read more

Honestly didn't really know what I expected but I feel like this was kinda what I expected. Just a run of the mill Korean dessert spot that has to mass pump out 1000s of desserts for the masses which is understandable. Felt like a mosh pit in there. The line is long but the service is quick! I was out the door and then within 2 minutes, I was at the register. You order and then go in to retrieve your drink and other items inside. Cheesecakes are available at the register, they also have them on display which was helpful. Tiramisu latte- AMAZING. Cheesecake- BEST I HAVE EVER HAD. Haven't been here in a minute but decided to stop by as it's a large space good for groups and there's various options suiting all tastes. I appreciate that they update the menu to offer seasonal and trendy items. Pricing is fair for the location. Staff are helpful in answering questions about the menu. You order when you first enter and that's what causes the line to form outside. After you order, you get a buzzer and are free to sit anywhere. We came here for desserts on a weekend at 3PM and there were so many people on line. We decided to go check out other spots in Koreatown but everything elsewhere was so packed as well so we turned back here to line up. Fortunately by the time we came back, there was no line anymore! We ordered out front and went to look for our own seats inside. The food was ready really quickly! This was my first time trying out beignets - we ordered the matcha beignets that came with matcha and powder sugar on top and matcha ice cream. This was a delicious pairing of hot and crispy external and soft interior beignets with cold ice cream. Beignets to me taste like a youtiao that I eat with congee. We also ordered the OG black sesame snow which was definitely more than enough to share with 3 people. The original burnt basque cheesecake was also so delicious - creamy and full of flavor. At some points the bottom was just a little too wet for me but would still order this again and again. Came to Grace Street Coffee & Desserts and tried the Basque cheesecake along with the strawberry matcha . The strawberry matcha was OK ! The cheesecake was decent, but a bit too sweet for my personal taste. The atmosphere is lovely, but it is a bit pricey for what you get. Still a nice spot to grab a drink and hang out! read more
the desserts at grace street are all so delicious! I am a huge fan of their chocolate basque cheesecake (which is so rich and decadent, like eating a dense brownie crossed over with ice cream), their shaved ice, and iced drinks. there's usually a line to get in on the weekend, but it hasn't ever let me down. there's a lot of seating inside and it's not horrible for big groups (if you're patient) - the food comes quickly and you pick it up at the counter. read more

Since when did they have a min ordering? Went on Friday night at 730p- table of five and we ordered three items for around $17 and waitress asked to get one more due to min...
I believe they only have a minimum at night. During the day is a free for all.
Are there vegan options for the shaved ice?
No they use milk to make the shaved iced. They have a sorbet flavor ($6)

Hi Steph, we currently have fresh vegan sorbets that we rotate monthly. You can pair that with hodduk (our Korean donut) and beignets - both of which are vegan. Thanks!
