I am not a regular shopper of Ralph's grocery store as I do not have one near my home. I happened to stop at this location as I was craving a sesame seed bagel. Upon entering the store, I was in awe. This store was very well organized and offered so many items I am not used to seeing at my local grocery stores. The store is a good size, was very clean and shiny and was fully stocked with any food item you can imagine. I love that the fact by joining their rewards program, I received great discounted on a several items I purchased in addition to my great tasting and fresh sesame seed bagel. I contacted store employees in the deli, bakery and checkout areas of the store and each employee was friendly, helpful and professional. I drive to the valley once per week for knee therapy and from now on, this will become a regular stop of mine. read more

I'm a regular ass Ralph's I came here with my baby in a stroller and the security guard was walking around like I was stealing and kept saying hello to me. He was the black gentleman. I find that very interesting when I never try to storm out I literally was shopping and I cannot have a grocery cart and a stroller at the same time I found this verydisrespectful and rude. They need to take this location down with new management and new staff and open a Aldi. That would make a big difference for the community. Most likely will not be coming back. read more

Popped in for a few items after a nearby doctor appointment and really love this location! There is ample parking, and the whole store is very tidy and well laid out with some beautiful displays. The produce looks fantastic and fresh. Nice little Starbucks tucked away inside as well. some fun, novelty items throughout the store and very beautiful flower bouquets! The sushi was nice and fresh and they made it for me there right on the spot. Even gave me extra ginger and wasabi upon request. Very nice helpful employees! It's a local must and location favorite. The parking lot is probably the most challenging with limited parking for Ralphs and shared large plaza neighboring business. They have additional parking to the back end as well as parking underground/below. Ralphs - Studio City is often busy day or night and you can usually find everything you'd looking for and more. The isles a clean and the service serene. They carry a solid selection of craft beer/brew, wine and some great vegan, vegetarian and gluten free finds. You can do self checkout or take up a line. They have many clerks on duty, more so doing the day. If local or on foot via metro it's near numerous stops for a few local public routes as well as Universal City/Studio City Station. The absolute worst service. Not a single cashier at checkout. I purchased 132 items and was told to do it myself at self checkout. I am disabled and needed assistance was told "too bad". Most self checkout stations don't even let you through if you have more than 25 items. Save yourself some money and go to ALDI, you bag items there yourself but the customer service and prices are much better. Also spent almost 15 minutes asking various employees for the bathroom code and all of the men told me they didn't have the women's code and walked away from me. Not one employee offered to get the womens code for me. I spent almost $300 here to be treated like sh*t. read more

Interesting store! We parked on the upper level, and took the Rock'n'roll elevator to the lower floor to enter Ralph's. We were here to buy gift cards, but first we used the restrooms. A nice employee in the produce section helped us find them. They were not in the best condition, but they were usable in an emergency. We were going to get Ralph's gift cards for family, but we couldn't find them. We found gift cards for everything else you could think of. We did find some fun cards to slip gift cards into. We checked out quickly, and our cashier was cordial and efficient. We took the elevator up to our car, and got out of the parking lot quickly for our next destination. read more

I came across this supermarket by chance while visiting Universal Studios in Los Angeles a few days ago. I am form Scotland and normally visit Orlando in Florida for theme parks and attractions while on vacation. I can truly say this is the best supermarket experience ever, far better than Publix in Florida. The choice of produce is great and the staff are exceptional, and the prices unbelievable, amazing value. Last month we bought groceries at the Ralph's on 10901 Ventura right across from Universal Studios. Five stars for value and zero stars for customer service. The sales manager spent nearly 5 entire minutes chatting and "shooting the breeze" to the customers ahead of us, even after their order had been paid for and bagged. I have been going to this Ralphs for years. Today was the last day. This is the 2nd time in 2 weeks that I was approached by a person asking who my internet provider is to get me to switch. This is INSIDE the store. But this time they did not take no for an answer and tried to force the subject. I emailed the corporate office the first time to ask if they allow this. I am still waiting for a answer to that question. Today I ask the Manager in person if they allow soliciting inside the store. He said no, but its still happening. I do not want to be harassed while I am shopping for food. Why does the store allow this? I will be taking my business to Gelsons in North Hollywood. Its farther and its more expensive but I know I won't be harassed in the store about my internet provider. They have also blocked 6 parking spaces closest to the entrance ( in a lot thats already difficult to park in ) for "Pick Ups". EVERYONE is picking up!!! I was physically intimidated and publicly mocked by Bobby Elias, who claimed to be the manger. This happened today, July 3, 2023, at a little after 10am. He and another employee who was not wearing a name tag invaded my personal space, became physically aggressive and threatening, jammed electronic devices into my face, laughed at me and called me names when I made a complaint today. I was absolutely shocked. Never *needed* to make a complaint ever before today, have been shopping here since 2008, all previous interactions with employees have been lovely and positive. Bobby Elias made me feel profoundly unsafe today, with zero reason to do so. He should be fired for cause, along with the "mystery" employee (a white man with grey hair and beard). I will continue to follow up until this issue is addressed. Shame on you, Bobby Elias. Update: went back today and "mystery employee" is still working there. Looked like he was once again in an altercation with a customer. Why is this man who intimidated me, called me names and laughed at me still employed at this store? Fond memories first back when in undergrad at ucla (just down the street), of great grocery-store finds available for grab-n-go of dining options as well when you're opting to have a night of no-cooking --many many salads and veggie options along with meats, etc. obviously it can be found in many cities and zip codes, and it's always clean, neatly organized and fast service. I love this particular Ralph's market, and no, it is not comparable to other Ralph's stores around LA because this store has the best and the sweetest employees and the best vegan product selection (check my attached photos and descriptions for some of the great plant based options). Store is very organized and shelves are always full, because staff makes sure to refill all shelves regularly. When I moved from another state, it took me some time to find my daily market, that has acceptable prices and high quality products. Amazing staff just makes it even better. I love the app, and all monthly coupons that I am receiving in my mail, specially that coupons are not just random, it was selected as per your previous purchase history. "Customer service is subpar" At self checkout, there are a couple of reps with stellar service like Mercedes and Kerri. But there is a Dominican lady there who can be rude and dry to people, especially when she's chatting with a customer that she knows and you ask for assistance. I've talked to other customers while there, and they've mentioned that she can come off rude and abrasive. Maybe keep her at the register and let the other representatives continue their stellar help. What the other lady doesn't offer is - A smile when greeting - Keep chatting to people to a minimum when people are looking for assistance. - Offer bags upfront like how the other reps do and stop having people have to come and ask for them. - Keep up a positive attitude because we can see that you're having a bad day. We only now shop there if we really need a few items. Now Vons has our business, and their reps at self checkout are top-notch. So that goes to show that it takes one negative attitude to make people stop shopping there and positive attitudes that'll make you remember their names. read more

I've shopped at this store since it opened. They nearly always have what I need, the store is clean, and the staff is friendly. However, they have a security guard who refuses to wear his mask over his nose. He has done this for months. When I've spoken to him about it, he fixes it while I'm watching, then moves it back when he thinks I'm not looking. When I've spoken to store managers I've been told "I'll talk to him." Either they don't talk or he doesn't listen. Regardless, this guard shows that security is the last thing on his mind. I was wowed by inventory, excited about sales, and impressed with the liquor section. Large departments are well stocked. Too many self-checkout stations staffed, so if you want help you gotta wait and if it's the wrong time of day you must go self-serve if you don't look disabled.
