Ralph's is always a good experience. Except for the last few time I visited the store. For some reason, things will have a sign saying they are on sale but once you ring the items up the discounted price does not ring up. And I don't notice until I get home because I'm trusting if the signage says it's on sale it's going to ring up correctly. This has happened on numerous occasions. Another faulty in the system is the register rings up random items on my order when I do not have that item in my things. All of these issues have happened at self checkout. Please fix your system as grocery prices have sky rocketed and I shouldn't have to closely watch my receipts making sure things ring up correctly or that items are not added to my bill that I am not purchasing. This place used to be pretty good but it has gone way down. Check your receipt before you leave. Don't trust the accuracy of the cashier. Today I was charged $30 more than it should have been. The staff has become rude like they're doing you a favor. Just obnoxious. I've spent probably 75 thousand or more of the years and they treat you like s***. The manager Cam will never say hello or ask you your name. I shop at Gelsons or Whole Foods now. These people are trash at Ralphs. read more

This Ralph's is boug-AF to the max. I can't find anything here. It's like a scavenger hunt! I suggest parking in the lower level to avoid things from being too people-y. Every time I come here, somehow I have to empty my bladder. Restroom codes changes frequently and thank God, probably to prevent the homeless from showering in there. I'll get around one day to remembering where everything is. Don't forget to visit the BOUG-EY juice bar for your pressed drink with fresh ingredients. Surely better than getting the, "let's look like we're really healthy but actually processed," drinks by their produce section. This Ralph's is in Studio City, and honestly how can you hate anything in SC? You'd have to be true hater, bc SC screams, "you've made it! You're in a rich suburban area with privacy...and still close to the ratchet places in town.." Not hatin on this place at all. I've been going to the Ralph's on Coldwater and Ventura Blvd for years and they have truly gone downhill. The checkout people are nasty and the manager didn't even know his own weekly specials. I asked a simple question about a price and it turned into a big dust up because they didn't even understand the question. It was embarrassing and I was treated like a freaking criminal! Stay away from this store and go to the one on Ventura Blvd and Hazeltine. They are respectful and nice and the managers know how to run a store!! read more

Scam alert at Ralph's. Spent weeks trying to get this resolved in store and customer service line. Bought 2 gas cards with fake stickers. I'm out $200. Store wouldn't do anything and customer service line told me to contact Chevron. Beware of fake stickers prior to buying gift cards. Ralphs doesn't stand behind selling their customers fake product. I love this Ralph's. During Covid (so pretty much since late March/early April), I have been ordering groceries and picking them up from this store. The employees who shop for me and bring the groceries out to my car are exceptional. They pick out excellent-quality (and large!) produce and most meat/dairy items have expiration dates out two weeks or more. At other stores, I've had the opposite experience and ended up having to freeze items or throw them out if I didn't catch the expiration date in time. Also, when the employees arrive to put the groceries in the trunk of my car, they are always so friendly. Remember, these human beings are risking their lives to make sure we're all fed. And to provide the extra (friendly and cheerful) service of bringing the groceries out to us so that we don't have to go in to shop is going way above and beyond. I always leave them a cash tip in my trunk and insist they take it (Managers, do not pester your employees about this - I INSIST they take the money). Terrible experience. Drove all the way down here, found the item I was looking for - only for them to tell me they couldn't find it in their inventory system. They refused to sell me the item and told me I have to come back to tomorrow. GARBAGE customer service. How can you not sell a customer product that you have on your shelves??? I'm pretty sure this is against consumer pricing and protection laws. Unacceptable. UPDATE: The manager was supposed to call me the next day for resolution. Two days later and I've heard from no one. Man, I get it, I wouldn't want to work here either. But last week I called them probably 7 times, each time I waited forever and then was hung up on before speaking to a person. So I did what I hoped not to do: I wasted time and gas visiting the store to see if they had what I was looking for in stock... When I entered, there was someone on the god speaker saying there was a call on a line. That kept repeating as I walked through the store, which means some other poor sod was kept waiting on the phone forever fruitlessly too. Oh and speaking of fruitless, they did not have what I was looking for, even though a stockist had told me a week earlier that they would have it back in. Zero stars if I could. Pick up orders - you won't get the freshest groceries. I actually don't think there's anything fresh at this store. If you select a time for pick up, it may or may not be ready. Who knows... when they'll have your order ready. So prepare for a trip to Ralph's to only come home without groceries because the staff that is responsible for getting your order has magically disappeared for the night and the manager has no clue where tf they are. Not your typical review, maybe. But this is not your typical Ralphs grocery store. From the outside you may think just that. Oh look a local grocery store. Hmm keep it in mind if I need anything. Well after I walked through I was quite impressed with the services offered. Of course you can grab your milk and bread but there is more offered here than most other Ralphs. Here you can get a freshly squeezed juice drink from The Juice Bar. A full service self standing organic juice bar. Next to that there's a great selection of bulk nuts and chocolates for snackin. Across the store is a well stocked salad bar, cheese and deli service and even a very substantial olive bar. A customer favorite for an easy grab and go lunch is the Deli where they make made to order sandwiches and hot items like fried chicken. Also available are sushi rolls made in the store. Another stand out section that separates this place from your average grocery store is the aisles of kitchen wares and appliances. I was surprised just how much they carry. Great if you need something new or maybe a gift? Anything from plates, glassware to full on crock pots and toasters. Anyways kudos for that. Floral department makes pretty nice arrangements too. Self service checkout is a breeze. Bring your own bag! Plenty of parking underground if the street level is a mess. read more

First I'll say the inside staff are polite and helpful. But the hygiene is terrible. I never see them wipe down any surfaces inside and they have no one outside to wipe the carts, and haven't had for many months. Today I asked the guy bringing the dirt carts back if he'd clean one for me and he yelled at me to do it myself. He said he wouldn't touch the carts. He was very aggressive and hostile. I told one of the assistant managers and he just brushed it off. It's the responsibility of the management to assign someone to stay outside and sanitize the carts. Trader Joe's and Wholefoods respect their customers to do it at all times. But Ralphs doesn't care about the safety of their customers during the pandemic. Shame on them. We should Boycott them and Vons who are the same, and tell the managers why we're not shopping there any longer. Good health to you all. read more

I came into this massive Ralphs needing a handful of items. I went up and down every aisles looking for rice cakes. I couldn't find them, and heaven help you if you need some help, there is zero customer service on the floor. I finally found one woman who worked there rushing around. I asked, her a simple question, "Can you please tell me what aisle the rice cakes are on?" She looked confused and didn't know what rice cakes were. She said I think they are in the Chinese food section and started walking in that direction, I said they won't be there. She had no idea what I was talking about. After another trip up and down every aisles with not one other person there to assist in that massive store, I finally found them in a tiny corner in the very back next to the bread. My problem with this? NO ONE on the floor of the store to help customers. AND if you work at a supermarket, you should know what rice cakes are! read more

I come in every few days to pick up meat and maybe 1 or 2 other items. The cashiers have stopped asking if you want bags and just bag it. When you decline they STILL CHARGE YOU THE 10 CENTS. Yeah 10 cents is nothing but wtf. Managers need to talk to the cashiers and have them ask people instead of immediately charging them. Total BS and literally illegal. read more

This has always been one of the better Ralph's no stores in the L A area, but not today. First, there was a sign outside that sanitized carts were there, but when I saw an employee putting carts there directly from the parking lot, he confirmed they weren't, and that the sign had been there a while. I told the manager the sign needed to be removed, but it was still there when I left. Then, they didn't have the gluten free spaghettini I came for, and the brands they had contained other ingredients I couldn't have. Finally, there was a pricing error on the shelf - same product in two places with different prices. A clerk checked , says the higher price applied, denied seeing the lower one. First off I love how close I live to this ralphs! Everyone at that store is so so nice specially Duran ! He always very friendly and full of life but literally everyone who works there are beyond nice!!!!! I live like 2 minutes away so I'm there every week at least 1 to 2 time a week or even more. I legit wrote this review because of their Sweet potato pie in the bakery area!! OMG!!!! I loveeeeee that damn pie. I bought one for Christmas dinner so we can have something sweet we didn't eat for like 3 days I finally took a slice and everyone loved it. I went back twice for it lol . Terrible management I bought food from them and I've been buying food from them for the past 20 years I spent over $50 on a daily basis and almost $2000 a month at Ralph's a bit its location many times they used to have utensils available for the customers now you have to ask and wait a good 10 to 15 minutes when I let the manager know who is named Janelle at this location she started yelling at me then she kicked me out then a whole bunch of employees including the security ganged up on me like bees terrible customer service they don't deserve even one star I won't be coming back to this location and most likely won't be shopping from Ralph's ever again after I called the customer service they didn't do anything about it well we let the upper management now but nothing ever happened. read more

Duanne is an incredible manager! With customer service having gone out the window in many places, Duanne is a shining example of how to provide excellent customer service that goes beyond handling an issue. It excels in that it is accompanied by kindness, humor, consideration, patience and so much care. I was astonished as I watched him take care of each person in line ahead of me with the same kind smile and thoughtfulness no matter what their energy or issue. His energy and life was so refreshing I totally forgot I was in the grocery store handling a mundane task. I don't often take the time to sit down and write about my service at a place, and I've never done it after grocery shopping! But I couldn't let the day end without sharing what a rare find Duanne is. He is truly a gem! I wanted to hug him but I thought that would be inappropriate so I just thanked him profusely for being so wonderful. I hope he is frequently told how valuable his presence is in that store. This just happened and I had to write a review while it was fresh in my mind. We liked this Ralph's from the moment we moved into the neighborhood. It's big, it's clean, and the employees are far more friendly than anything we encountered in our 30 years in San Francisco. Oh, and there's underground parking (but please keep that a secret.) Now I'll get right to it. I decided to get away from the desk for a bit and buy a few things here and while the lines weren't massive, seconds after I was third at one of the checkouts, an employee came over and said, "I'll take care of you at the self-checkout. I was suspicious, but then he took me to one of the stations and proceeded to do the checking out FOR ME! That's right. He scanned, and put the goods in my bag - and thanked me for coming to Ralphs. I am never going back to Safeway in San Francisco. The level of service and friendliness here is almost too much to believe. Thank you! read more

This Ralphs is absolutely great! They have a great selection, plenty of space, the produce department has a lot of options, the deli counter has a good variety, and there's plenty if parking in the underground lot. I feel that a lot of times with certain Ralphs they are sometimes constrained by the size if the location. Sometimes this manifests itself in weird layouts, and smaller isle sizes, but most of the time I feel it manifests itself in lack of selection. A lot of Ralphs just won't carry every item you may be looking for. NOT A PROBLEM with this Ralphs. The size if the store is good, the isle size is good, but most importantly I've never run across an item that was on my list that they didn't have. Which is great! When you're going grocery shopping it's important to not have to go to multiple stores. They also have a good selection if organic options throughout the majority of their selection. The produce department is also really great. As I mentioned a lot of selection, and a lot of organic items. But not only is the selection great but the fruits and vegetables are also usually very fresh and palatable. They also have a great butcher counter in the back and meat section! The deli counter is great as well if your looking for a less expensive option for a healthy lunch. They can be a bit disorganized with the whole "take a number system", and by that I mean take a number, but don't rely on it. Also, they not only have working self checkout lanes, but they usually have a good number of cashiers working at any given time so very rarely will you have to wait too long, and when you do it well most likely be the customer-in-front-of-you's fault than it will be the employee's. Add on top of all that the fact that there's plenty of parking in the underground lot, and all in all you have a great grocery store on your hands here. read more

I love this store. I never write reviews for anything, let alone a grocery store but I shop there almost every day in the afternoons because I'm a nanny (I grocery shop) and also it's just close so I get my lunch there. I have sensory issues and grocery stores are a nightmare but the staff is so nice and everything is always so l organized, clean, and easy to find. The bathrooms are clean also! I actually look forward to my weekly shopping trips. ALL the cashiers/bagging helpers are soooo nice, and there's a lady that does the go backs with a hijab and she's and Angel, her energy is just so amazing. The deli people are so patient. The guys stocking the fruit are so sweet and cart guy is like a machine I see u workin hard man. Great staff thanks for making my experience pleasant and my job so much easier. read more

I specifically go to Ralph's for their fresh breads, only to be disappointed because no one has stocked the shelves. There are just a couple of stale leftover loaves. Doesn't seem like anyone cares. There doesn't seem to be enough help. If I ask when the bread will be in, the employees say 1 hour! This is at 10:30 in the morning! You have to wait until almost noon for a loaf of fresh bread? This is a huge Fresh Fare and I love the underground parking in the event of rain or extreme heat. Plenty of choices, loads more ready-made food selections in the deli and definitely the largest selection of sushi!! There don't seem to be as many deals as done of the other Ralph's In the area and no sale tray. I honestly save more with my rewards at the other locations. Nevertheless, if it's convenient for you, check this location out! It's in a cute plaza so lots of options if you want juice, coffee or a drugstore while doing errands. read more

This morning I came here to get a large bag of dog food. When I pulled the food from the shelf, the back had already been cut open and taped over, so half the bag spilled out into the aisle. I immediately told a manager what happened at the front of the store and returned to the aisle so I could explain/ apologize to whoever was sent over to sweep it up. The employee did not see me waiting at the end of the aisle and came down shouting at another employee "these customers need to learn to clean up after themselves, they're F****** A**h****! I'm not their F******* maid!" So I stepped into the aisle and said "Hi, that was me. The bag was already open on one end and I was waiting here to explain that to you. I'd be happy to take the broom and sweep it up myself." He avoided eye contact and replied "no worries," worried that I had heard everything he had said. I did, buddy. I didn't report him to the manager because I've worked in customer service and I know it can be frustrating, but I was disappointed in how I was treated by the employees of this store for a mishap that was the store's fault to begin with. I do all of my grocery shopping here and I used to like to shop at this Ralph's (despite the constant solicitors and homeless outside), because it is close to my apartment, but I won't be returning after today. read more

Customer service -- figure as close to nil as they can and still sort-of remain in business. I have some ideas for this store: a) add more cash registers with live checkers instead of the over-abundance of do-it-yourself equipment (as noted in so many other reviews); b) put prices on the items and/or shelves so customers know how much it will cost. 3 brands of matzo (available in cases only. None available in individual pack). ONE of the brands is marked "$5.50 each -- must buy two." Other two brands are not marked at all. Had to take alternate brand to self-check-out to see that cost was $22 for one case. Return to self-check with t2o cases of first brand and overheard other customer telling the poor assistant watching 8 self-shoppers "$8.? That is too much I do not want it." ADD STAFF. CLEAN UP THE STORE. ORGANIZE SPECIAL HOLIDAY ITEMS IN APPROPRIATE AREA OF STORE. PRINT PRICING ON ITEM AND/OR SHELVE. read more

I spoke to some coworkers who live in Burbank and they told me that they prefer to shop at the Studio City Ralph's instead of their local Ralph's. I mentioned that I feel the same way. I live walking distance from Rock & Roll Ralph's and as cool as it is I've had a couple of bad customer experiences there. I'll be happy to share those experiences in another post. We also agree that the store manager Dwane is a huge reason why we are drawn to this Ralph's. He seem to have a good rapport with his team as well as his customers. read more
