This hotel was appalling. Room 103 was absolutely filthy and reeked like an ashtray. Ramada and the Wyndham company should be ashamed of the condition of their rooms and the amount of money they are charging for this disgust, $225.00. Nobody' should ever stay in such filth and be charged this outrageous amount of money. The Motel 6 I stayed in last night in Newport, Tennessee was nicer and cleaner than this dump and half the price. I will never stay at a Ramada/Wyndham hotel again as it seems this hotel chain just doesn't care. Don't stay here the toilet didn't flush good so I smelled the toilet all night. I usually don't sleep under the covers when get in late. Everyone here got it right, it's a one or zero star for this Ramada. It baffles me such a place called hotel exist in this world. Yes, I am guilty. I have read everyone's reviews before booking this place, still I booked a room here. Did I hit my head on the curb? There was an event in Gainesville and everyone attending the event is staying in this property (I refused to call this a hotel!!) When the car was near, I spotted the building. I blurted "Charming!" Upon entering the property, I started dying inside. The place smelled so funky; sketchy people checking into the hotel too. The front desk staff asked for my ID and credit card for incidentals. Now I am starting to think... what incidentals?? There is no room service, no mini bar. There were no clear signs where the elevators are. Wandering my way and found the elevators and saw more sketchy people. The floor inside the elevator was carpeted and looked so nasty. The carpet along the hallway was not any better. Only one staff who worked on 3/1/2019 Friday night was rather nice, the rest needed more hospitality training. Oh, and the room keys were constantly not working. I was horrified when I opened that room 411. It reeked, clearly people who checked into this hotel have no regards to whether the rooms are smoking or non smoking rooms. The housekeeping here clearly thinks this room smells fine. No, it is not. I died a whole lot more inside. The room smelled absolutely disgusting. The carpet was stained. The bathroom has a wall with stains and a strand of hair which clearly was not mine. The tissue box was sticky. The window was filthy. There was a hole on the duvet (first time I checked into a place where there is no duvet cover). Granted, I stayed in lots of absolutely amazing and world class hotels in this world. However, I was not expecting Ramada to be like St Regis or Conrad or JW Marriott. All I wanted from a $100 a night room is a clean and non stinky room. Is that too much to ask?? One star only because Samuel at the front desk could not have been nicer and was very professional throughout our short visit. This is the only part of this hotel that Wyndham should not be ashamed of. If there were any attempts at renovation going on, we did not see them. We saw as soon as we arrived that the hotel was in bad shape. We decided we would at least take a look at the room. It was horrible! Ancient filthy carpet, shabby curtains, torn furniture, etc. And the elevators were broken meaning we had to go upstairs in a filthy stairwell. We went back downstairs and cancelled our room immediately. It is not like they advertise this place at a discount. When my husband booked this hotel without looking at the ratings and I saw it only had 1star I was nervous. It wasn't that bad. Yes, it's an older hotel, but it was clean and the beds were comfortable. The area seemed nice, but we were just passing through and didn't explore much. I'm only giving it 3 stars because the breakfast was terrible. With a family of five, we try to book hotels that serve breakfast so we can save money on food. There were slices of white bread sitting by a toaster and a small container of scrambled eggs.There were a few containers of cereal, but we had to hunt down milk to go with it. No staff in sight. Toilet clogged first time I used it, phone missing parts and doesn't have a dial tone after trying to diagnose it. Called lobby from my cell and asked when breakfast was and she said 630. Also told her about the phone and she said "ok". My son woke and was hungry at 645 and so we went down stairs to no breakfast, same clerk said she must not have put it out yet. I asked again what time it was served and she again said 630. I walked away. Grabbed some coffee and we were heading back to the room in elevator when suddenly it felt like it hit the floor but we were on the 4th floor- weird but our coffees went flying all over the elevator and scared the shit out of us. This place was absolutely disgusting. I booked it last minute while traveling. Pictures looked great. The water in the shower was dirty from rust in the pipes or other reason. All of the plumbing didn't drain properly. The bed was acceptable but the room was so dark it was hard to tell if it was actually clean. Felt unsafe as well. read more

The property is very dated and well used. There was trash in the parking lot, lobby floors. The carpet, chairs in our room were stained and furniture was coming apart. The breakfast was always the same, a small egg burrito, maybe a banana, cold cereal and juice. Damage to walls, ceilings and elevators. I saw all the other reviews and figured they had to be exaggerating. Nope. Holy moly. Where the hell do I start with this place.... The room was dirty. Wasn't vacuumed. Spiderwebs and dust. The tub was discolored. The furniture was in disrepair. The leather seat had rips and tears and holes. The TV stand and table had a loose fake venier that was loose and popping up and sliding The bed springs popped and creaked everytime you moved, like old school 70s beds or something. The outside hallways were super loud from inside the room, likely because they were not carpeted and echoed a lot. The outside hallway also was very dark and uninviting. The phone in the room did not work. The TV was super small. The curtain sheers were ripped. The room did not have carpet it was cold hard laminate. The toilets flush very very weak and slow and it felt like they would clog with the first use. We tried not to use them.. when we did it was awkward because the toilets were very very low to the ground like it was a preschool toilet. The elevator said not in service but still was able to be used if you call it. At some point the sign had fallen off and had been placed on a chair in the elevator lobby and anyone could have easily just got on it and used it not aware that it was in disrepair. The elevator also was all scratched up and super dirty. There were sheetrock patches and touch up paint spots in the room and throughput the hotel that were very poorly done. It looked like a low income apartment complex. The stairwells were filthy and dim. The entire motel had a pathogical level abundance of printed paper signs with instructions orders rules and warnings EVERYWHERE. I felt like I was at a boarding school. The feeling there was unpleasant from begining to end. The young man at the front desk was very rude and dismissive. Would not provide the most basic of customer service niceties. Not even basic eye contact or smile or pleasant demeanor. Seemed annoyed the whole time. The lady who was there the next day however was very pleasant. They were unable to provide me with a fan, while this may not be a big deal, it juat was odd because most places are willing to lend us one. One of the lights was out in my bathroom, I found a bag of cheese when I checked into my room. The shower head has amazing pressure but the bathtub spout doesn't disengage fully. There's a disgusting stain on the carpet next to my bed. The window doesn't seal all the way. The air control works ok. The TV is terribly small. You turned a terrible holiday inn into an awful ramada. Lost that last star due to awful internet connection. Also completely disregarded my request to change the channel. Thanks. read more

If you like bedbugs, then this is the place for you! Big, small, fat and aggressive! They have them all! I was accosted by a Shrek sized homeless woman as soon as I entered. Smelled like an ashtray. Nice. Staff didn't care that a homeless woman was in their lobby. Immediately found bedbugs as there was excrement on our pillows and sheets. Told front desk who then said that the hotel had been sprayed and implied that my wife and I must've brought them with us. Nice. We were offered a room switch and a $10 discount. How wonderful. The worst hotel stay ever!!! Deserves no stars. The first day I had 2 high price items stolen from my room. Once noticed, I contacted the front desk to make them aware of the situation and get the local police number. The women at the desk offered no sympathy. She simply gave me the phone number without so much as an apology for the inconvenience. Luckily, I was able to file a report to the police as well as Wyndham. Upon checkout, I asked once more what was being done on the issue. The lady gave me the managers phone number; however, she stated the phones at the hotel do not take outside calls!? So, in hopes of getting in touch with this mystery manager named Mike, the women wrote down my name and phone number for him to give me a call. 3 days later.. still no call. Filthy! Hallways looked like they had NEVER been cleaned and there was a sickly sweet deodorizing smell that didn't quite mask the underlying stench of old food and God knows what else...just nasty. They are undergoing some kind of construction near the check-in desk that requires you to go back outside and walk around the hotel to re-enter a side door to get to your room. Ok if the weather is nice, but not so much if it's raining. The "pleather" footrest in our room was ripped, and there was a big unsightly rust stain in the tub that prevented my wife from taking a bath. They are doing alot of construction in the lobby so just bare walls. The room was non smoking but it didnt matter. It reeked of smoke. The AC unit did not work. Room was like 80 degrees. Also huge leak in the fixture in the bathroom. Water was all over the sink and floor. The room was nasty. Dont stay hear. read more

Check inn staff were pleasant especially Mike who hopefully can resolve my issue. Nothing like having a bogus $250 charge on top of a 2 night stay. Other than that the place is a total dump. Rm 408 ceiling has a patch job that looks like a kindergarten child did it, stained floors, out dated bed and furniture. Down the road a few clicks is a new holiday inn Express with similar pricing and much nicer rooms, go check it out. Ramada by Wyndham read the reviews and make repairs or shut the dump down. I definitely won't ever stay in another Ramada/Wyndham property after this experience. read more

If I could give an honest rating, it would be a 0 star facility. Upon check out date, the hotel charged my person credit card for $60. When asked, they said it was because we had a pet. I, in fact, have a service animal. They told me it did not matter, the charge was non refundable since we washed him with their new towels. My fiancé advised them that was a lie, he works as an Industrial Refrigeration Tech, meaning he is covered in grease by the time he gets home. Or in our case hotel since he travels 100% of the time. This was all becoming highly offense at this point. The next issue, was my service animal. They proceeded to ask for his papers, in which by law there is no national database for said paperwork, nor does it even exist. Under ADA regulations, facilities are only allowed to ask two questions. 1)is this a service animal 2) what is the animal trained to do. THAT IS IT!!!! Being a person with a disability and having someone belittle you in this manner is DISGUSTING! They not only did not return my $60, but also called the cops on my fiancé. Once the cops arrived... the hotel staff were giving a lesson on MY RIGHTS as a disabled American. I'm now going to be looking into legal services due to the ignorance and unlawfulness of this hotel! Not to mention, the rooms were filthy, the bathrooms had scum in them and the windows leaked, leaving the rooms smelling like mold if the a/c was not turned down all the way. A hotel should not be open if they are renovating. No does are locked. You would usually use the room key to get in from the outside. Nope its just open for anyone to walk in . And housekeeping doesn't know who actually stays on the rooms. They'll let anyone in. I'd never stay at this trash place again. I stayed at this hotel before and have had absolutely no complaints. Therefore, I booked a room through hotels.com. Upon checking in, I noticed the hotel with undergoing renovations. So when I was told to access my room I would have to go in through at outside side door, I wasn't too concerned. However, that side door which has a key card for guests was unlocked. Not only that, but two other access doors were also unlocked! When I got to my room I called the front desk and told young lady of the situation with the doors. Her reply was, "Well, we are undergoing renovation and that's why the outside doors are left unlocked." So I said to her, "So, I'm staying in an unsecured facility. Right?" To that she had no reply. In addition to the lack of security and concern for their guests, the carpet in the room was absolutely filthy! I'm not going to complain about the shape of some of the walls because they are going through the renovation process. However, they should be able to keep the carpets clean in the room that they are renting! In addition to all that, there were black hairs on the fitted sheet when I pulled the covers back. It is such a hassle to change hotels when you have booked through a website, so I'm sleeping on top of the covers tonight and plan to speak to the general manager in the morning. read more

Needed a place close to the center of town and relied on the Ramada name. This was a big mistake! The walls in the room were damaged and repairs have not been completed. Toilets are positioned close to the floor and are hard for seniors to utilize. Rooms are small, while furniture is large, making movement hard. Storage of property for two people is awful. Two suitcases will be the most for a room with two queen beds, and that still took up the chair for our suitcase. While the staff is friendly, food at the restaurant is average and some hot trays are warm at best. A remodel of this property is a must, or it's best days are behind it! read more

For the cost which was over $100 I didn't think it would look like a motel. They remodeling the bottom floor the smell and wires hanging out you would think they would have shutdown because it not safe. They serve breakfast in the morning but who can stand the smell while they eat and the dinning area is open no back wall you have a clear view of the pool. Lol I will not stay here ever again. My husband and I stayed at this location last night, March 26. We had driven over 5 hours and this was the only place we could find a room as we were told there were several events going on this weekend. We arrived around 11 and got checked in with no problem. We were told we got an awesome deal on the room as it was recently renovated and typically would have cost $200 rather than the $100 we paid online. Sounded great.. recently renovated and an awesome room! Far from it. We got to the room and my husband noticed the "patio " door was unlocked and the curtains to the outside were open. I had my husband check the bathroom to make sure there was no one in it.. thankfully there wasn't. It was late, I was extremely tired from having worked all day and just driven close to 6 hours straight. I went straight to bed. I woke up at 7 and went to get a bath. As I was in the tub, I was looking around the bathroom and I noticed a blue jar/cup like thing with some liquid in it under the sink. I had my husband come check it out for me, and he said it was a crack pipe!! He went to the front desk and was told there was nothing he could do until someone from management got there. We had somewhere to be by 9, so there was no way we could have spoken to management. I went to the front desk and asked the guy to contact his managers because something needed to be done. After several phone calls to the managers, I gave up waiting as it was 8 and the corporate line was finally open. I called them and received no satisfaction from this issue. I was told I had to wait 7-10 days before I would get a call back from anyone. I was also asked why didn't I just leave.. by the lady on the phone taking my complaint!!! I'm pretty sure the "crack pipe" belonged to an employee there considering no one seemed to want to handle the issue within the location, and also since the patio door was open. I am only thankful we were the ones to find this.. what if it was a child to have found it and thought it was a drink? Ramada or Wyndham would have had a much larger issue on their hand with having a child getting sick or possibly dying from it. Good news is, the crack pipe got broken so no one will be able to use it again! For whomever gets room 126, please wear your shoes in the bathroom because when my husband moved the thing, the liquid spilled onto the floor, and also it did spill onto the counter when it was busted. I don't agree with drugs and feel the people who could have done something only chose not to.. only to keep their staff safe since it probably belonged to them. My best advice would be to not stay here if you can avoid it. Cockroaches in the lobby welcomed us. The water from each faucet comes out brown. Wifi connection is shoddy at best. Most rooms don't connect to the wifi at all. 2 rooms we had didn't have functioning toilets at all. One member of our group had items stolen from their room. The rooms, although non smoking, smelled heavily like cigarettes. If it were possible to give 0 stars my 4 companions and I would all rate this place 0. The one decent thing about this hotel is the helpfulness of the front desk employees. Sleeping in your car would likely be cleaner and more comfortable. read more
