I recently stayed here for a few nights and it was different than I remembered. This use to be a home away from home for years so it was disappointing to see a slight decline. I'm not sure if this is due to the name change from Staybridge to the now Sonesta ES Suites. My king suite was spacious but dated. Comfy bed and warm shower was indeed a plus. Housekeeping was annoying to say the least. They even walked into my room unannounced and kept disturbing me. Sigh The front desk was busy my entire stay as some of the hurricane ida evacuees were staying here. The customer service I received was very friendly and personable. There was some misunderstanding with my reservations but this was quickly resolved. Overall, this was a good stay and served it's purpose intended. I was able to enjoy some peaceful rest during my stay. Hopefully this hotel chain will make some needed updates as this has always been one of my favorites places to stay in the past.

Even if it is just bringing a bottle of wine in for yourself. The sales person you initially meet with Will make you promises than the wedding coordinator will not know what you are talking about. They will nickel and dime you for every little thing. Our wedding coordinator was friendly, but they will ALWAYS prioritize their vendors when an issue is brought up. We chose the all-inclusive package expecting professionalism, coordination, and accountability. Instead, when multiple issues happened with one of their preferred vendors (the DJ), management and the wedding planner immediately defended the vendor rather than genuinely addressing our concerns. Important moments during our wedding were mishandled, including incorrect announcements, poor coordination, timeline confusion, and even the wrong versions of songs being played during the ceremony. Afterward, instead of accountability, we received a long response full of excuses blaming apps, timing, and "live event conditions." My advice to future couples: if you use this venue, strongly consider bringing your own outside vendors instead of using the inclusive package. Once the wedding is over, it feels very clear where the venue's loyalty lies -- with their preferred vendors they continue working with, not with the couples who paid thousands for their special day.

Ty'Asia and Elizabeth were phenomenal. They were on top of every detail from start to finish, and anytime we needed something, they were right there making sure it was handled quickly and with care. The Food was fresh, flavorful, and enjoyed by everyone. Since we (the parents of the bride) couldn't be everywhere at once, we checked in with several guests afterward - every single one of them said the venue was stunning, the service was excellent, and the waitstaff was attentive and professional. Whatever guests needed, the staff provided without hesitation. Most importantly, the Bride and Groom were thrilled with how their special day turned out. It offers a large kitchen area, two fabulous hot tubs and an awesome Game room. Most importantly, Debbie (the cabin owner) made our trip as pleasant and easy going as possible. She was friendly, helpful and has developed a great page on Facebook, that I would recommend anyone to view, if looking for a beautiful family-sized cabin in the Great Smoky Mountains. My family and I will be back to visit this winter, so that we can enjoy the snow as well as the summer to embark on all of the outdoor activities and adventures. The so called "breakfast", is behind the front desk, you have to tell the employee what you want, be it a bagel, muffin, pancake, cereal, etc. Coffee was watery. We did not like this and left. We did not see any bugs, so that was a relief. We will not return to this hotel.

The GM refused to take the call but instead had his crew try to take the heat. HORRIBLE and COWARDLY are those in a position of pressure that can't and refuse to handle the tough situations. Bathroom floor has some kind of sticky substance on it because your shoes stick to the floor as you walk in there. No extra toilet Paper in the room had to go to the front desk to get some. First time I have been in Hotel when they did not have tissues in the bathroom. Toilet seat needs to be tightened, also toilet paper holder needs to be fixed, so maids are not reporting it or the Housekeeping supervisor is not staying on top of it. A/C works fine and not very noisy which will be nice for sleeping tonight. The mattress is time too be flipped or changed out. Not a large choice for breakfast Sausage Gravy biscuits and potatoes, plus the standard waffles. At the coffee station the only creamer available is French Vanilla, which is not everyone's choice I am sure. Seriously management it is time for an overhaul on this place, put the money back into the facility. Could have been a better stay.
