First off, the smoke detector. Immediately upon walking in to our room we noticed it missing. Maintenance came up and installed a new one, but would not test it. This is absolutely inexcusable and unsafe. I immediately called the front desk to ask to for a different room. I was told there were none available for the weekend. The General Manager mentioned that one reason we were not reimbursed is that we stayed in the room. We had NO CHOICE. They also said that they could have given the room to someone else. I sent the pics to them and asked if they'd feel comfortable assigning this room to another guest...no response. The room was in rough shape. Laminate flooring was coming up, wall trim was crumbling, the furniture was damaged, the toilet paper holder was broken, the carpet was unraveling, there was paint splatter over most of the floor in the bathroom, I could go on. The parking situation is another issue that was not addressed. Guests should have first priority for parking, instead the property has a long-term airport parking revenue stream at the expense of guests. We literally had to illegally park along a curb near the dumpster behind the kitchen and carry our sleeping children to the other side of the property. Again, unacceptable. All for the sake of the property making money off of offering parking for people utilizing the adjacent airport. Now to the Event Connect (third party booking for basketball tournament "stay to play" mandate). For two nights we paid nearly $500 after local taxes. This does not represent a substantial discount whatsoever, as stated by the General Manager. Looking at their daily rates it's very average. I don't want to hear that prices are much higher that weekend due to the basketball tournaments in the area. Thats just gouging...Regardless, look at those pictures. Would you be comfortable paying over $230 a night for that? No, not likely. These are real issues that necessitate a payment credit. It absolutely CAN be done. I was told this is impossible. I gave the local management team an opportunity to fix this and the General Manager offered of 2 night stay, which is a nice gesture, but I live over 5 hours away, and this credit will never be redeemed. They know this. Why would we stay there again when they made no intention of resolving the issues? I reached back out and they did not respond to me after numerous attempts. We have no intention of visiting Spokane in the near future.

    Gross bathroom vent.

We had a crack of dawn flight back to San Diego so we stayed at the Ramada by the airport our last night in Spokane. This hotel needs some work. Our room left a lot to be desired. *If equipped with a wall or floor unit, I always check the A/C filter. We don't want to breathe other people's goo. The filters in this room were full of goo! It was beyond disgusting. I cleaned them in the bathroom sink. I believe that I was the first ever to clean them. *Our room shared a wall with the indoor pool area. While it was convenient proximity to the pool, the shared wall had a serious mold problem. In the corner next to A/C unit there was a hole where the drywall was wet, moldy and crumbling. *The bathroom vent was a disgusting mess too. *The "patio" was a small, gravel patch that was completely overgrown with weeds. There was one cheap-ass red plastic chair on it. One chair. That's it. *The tracks for the sliding glass door to the patio looked like they had never been cleaned either. *One wall had a bunch of odd deep scratches in the paint. For as bad as that all was, the bathroom, surfaces and linens were all clean. the bed was comfortable, the TV was good and there were plenty of USB ports and electrical outlets at our disposal. In-room coffee and a mini fridge were nice. The free shuttle to the airport was why we chose Ramada. The indoor pool area was pretty cool. The water slide was fun. The hot tub was large - and hot. The water seemed like it had plenty of chemicals to kill all the bacteria of a public pool. Star at the front desk was super nice and helpful.

5 stars just for Manuel- the shuttle driver. He was very pleasant when picking me up from the airport. Manuel was very personable and also found out that he has ties back to Hawaii! He really kissed off my first time to Spokane in such a positive way! The hotel was decent and I enjoyed the comfortable bed and hot shower. Us slanders are not use to 45 degree weather. Aloha

I accidentally made reservation via Expedia, as soon as I noticed I cancelled through EXPEDIA. I still got charged for a room I can't use, now or ever. I contacted Expedia, they said contact Ramada, I contacted Ramada 2 times, they say have Expedia call Ramada by Wyndham Spokane Airport to get the refund. Be very carful before making a reservation at this or and Wyndham hotels.

After a long day going no where at the Pasco airport, a two hour drive in dense fog we found an Oasis. The entire staff was great and the room clean and comfy!

We stayed on the top floor facing north with a view below of the First Interstate Center which is a short journey using the covered skywalk. It wasn't busy at this time in early February and the common areas were quiet, though we've been there during New Year's Eve when it's pretty bustling. We usually book the Penthouse King Suite with fireplace, which is as spacious as a small apartment with 2 bathrooms and a kitchenette/bar area with mini fridge. Rooms have always been spotless. The bed is super comfortable. Robes are provided as well as extra blankets. We always bring our own Firestick with us when we travel, but we've noticed in every room that we've ever stayed at here that the TV input is not able to be changed to accommodate plugging into the HDMI port. Table 13 restaurant was closed for renovations, but the dining lounge was open and we get consistently good service and food at a reasonable price there. Room service breakfast for two cost about $70 (including service fee and tip) for a full breakfast entree, a fruit plate, and a kid's plate of pancakes. I wish that parking was more economical. At $28 per night, it's a bit steep. For comparison, we stayed the next night at the nearby Montvale Hotel where parking is $10 in their lot. Overall a very nice hotel and conveniently located in downtown Spokane.

Located on the south side of the river and what appears to be the heart of downtown, it was relatively easy to get to, and literally across the street from where we were seeing a show. The place is really large with something like 14 or 15 levels, and a room that we very much enjoyed! The beds were large, the mattresses were really nice and the view was lovely! The shower was also quite solid. It was one that did not have a door, but was fashioned such that you didn't get water all over the bathroom floor. It also had one of the best showerheads we've ever experienced! It was like getting sprayed off with a warm hose. It was a bummer that they didn't have a pool and hot tub here, but the workout facilities were really nice, and if you are looking for a pool, staying here, you get access to the pool and hot tub at the sister hotel downtown. We didn't make use of it, but it's a nice offer. We were about five minutes from downtown, and walked to a couple of restaurants for both dinner and breakfast. Parking was easy with an option for self parking or valet. The parking garage was connected to the building, and overall made things very easy. I really went back-and-forth between a four and five on this property, but overall it was a really nice spot with nice amenities and the pool was really the only thing that was lacking. It gets the five star bump!

It's easy to get to but there are pros and cons to that - as it's in a very popular area, with a college nearby, tons of restaurants with zero tables (all reserved, even in the middle of the week), and just a medium walk to the big Riverside mall and the famous Spokane falls, not to mention an events center where, apparently, a major concert was happening on the night of our stay (thus the sold out-ed-ness of everything, I guess?). Bummer about the crowdedness and the busyness. We heard rumors about this being one of Spokane's most haunted hotels and I can see how one might get a vibe that there's presence in the hotel. It was built in 1899, was abandoned for decades, and renovated. They did a beautiful job keeping up the historic aspects of the furnishings, and even the music in the halls was a little spooky. But rest assured, there were no spirits haunting our unit! Our room was adjacent to the Events Center and the building is structured such that we didn't hear the noise from the event going on at the time unless we put our ear to their door down the hall. It is easy to get lost because our room was in the 300's numbers but on the second floor, while other rooms in the 300's are on the third floor. There are two sets of elevators that take you to different parts of the connected buildings. If you're looking for the fitness center in the basement, don't use the elevator from the lobby or that will put you into the restaurant below. The amenities were great. It was like an entire apartment with a full kitchen and all the kitchenware to make it feel like home, plus it had a walk-in pantry. There was a big screen TV in every room and it was easy to hook up our own Firestick. I wished it had a second bathroom, and more hangers, as it does accommodate 4 people. The shower could use a shelf -- you have to put your bath toiletries on the floor of the shower. Bath robes and decor throughout made it cozy. The water vapor electric fireplace was a nice touch in the living room and we had a north facing view of the city surroundings. There was a dedicated room for washer and dryer, and they provide the detergents. The parking lot is small (about 15 spaces), and there's an overflow lot further away. There are several entry/exit doors on both First Av and Monroe St so that's a little confusing, but load in at the front entrance. It's conveniently located near the Fox and Bing theaters and several dining options. Our stay included free breakfast at Rosie's Restaurant. Overall a very nice stay!
