Clearly this isn't a hotel you stay at for a vacation. It's simply a place to crash coming and going from the air port. It doesn't need to be fancy when you just need to crash out for a few hours while traveling. The beds are decent and that's the most important thing. First off, the smoke detector. Immediately upon walking in to our room we noticed it missing. Maintenance came up and installed a new one, but would not test it. This is absolutely inexcusable and unsafe. I immediately called the front desk to ask to for a different room. I was told there were none available for the weekend. The General Manager mentioned that one reason we were not reimbursed is that we stayed in the room. We had NO CHOICE. They also said that they could have given the room to someone else. I sent the pics to them and asked if they'd feel comfortable assigning this room to another guest...no response. The room was in rough shape. Laminate flooring was coming up, wall trim was crumbling, the furniture was damaged, the toilet paper holder was broken, the carpet was unraveling, there was paint splatter over most of the floor in the bathroom, I could go on. The parking situation is another issue that was not addressed. Guests should have first priority for parking, instead the property has a long-term airport parking revenue stream at the expense of guests. We literally had to illegally park along a curb near the dumpster behind the kitchen and carry our sleeping children to the other side of the property. Again, unacceptable. All for the sake of the property making money off of offering parking for people utilizing the adjacent airport. Now to the Event Connect (third party booking for basketball tournament "stay to play" mandate). For two nights we paid nearly $500 after local taxes. This does not represent a substantial discount whatsoever, as stated by the General Manager. Looking at their daily rates it's very average. I don't want to hear that prices are much higher that weekend due to the basketball tournaments in the area. Thats just gouging...Regardless, look at those pictures. Would you be comfortable paying over $230 a night for that? No, not likely. These are real issues that necessitate a payment credit. It absolutely CAN be done. I was told this is impossible. I gave the local management team an opportunity to fix this and the General Manager offered of 2 night stay, which is a nice gesture, but I live over 5 hours away, and this credit will never be redeemed. They know this. Why would we stay there again when they made no intention of resolving the issues? I reached back out and they did not respond to me after numerous attempts. We have no intention of visiting Spokane in the near future. read more

My husband, my son, my 11 yr old granddaughter, and I recently stayed at the hotel in Spokane, WA. We were there for my mother-in-law's funeral. My son and granddaughter had a room and my husband and I were in a room across the hall. Both rooms were in my name. While there my son and granddaughter were swimming at the pool and someone erroneously assumed my granddaughter was kidnapped by my son and reported it to the police. No idea why other than the fact that my son is white while my granddaughter is half Salvadorian with dark hair and eyes and my son has blue eyes and light brown hair. The police came to their room and pulled my son out of the room to question him and another male office went inside the room with my granddaughter to question her. Both of their stories satisfied the police that she was not in fact kidnapped and were there for a funeral. However, my granddaughter was left scared and unsure why this happened in the first place. She brings it up several times a day -now 2 days later, as a way to reassure herself, I'm sure, that it was perfectly ok to be with her father swimming at the hotel. She thought they had broken a rule or something and was scared that my son still will be arrested. The person turning them in had to have followed them to their room to know where they were. The room was in my name and they had to have had a hotel employee tell the police what room he had. At least the police knew enough to apologize to my son and of course had to follow up on the call, but NOT ONE PERSON AT THE HOTEL apologized or recognized how awful this accusation was. I believe after reading Wyndham's website about inclusion they should be notified about the racism we encountered while staying at one of their hotels, but I was unable to contact them. The complaint never could be submitted. We of course don't know who decided that my happy go lucky granddaughter swimming in the pool and calling out to her dad was kidnapped, but the fact that whoever they are can traumatize my granddaughter and go on their merry way while making an already solemn occasion worse, without repercussions and we don't even get an apology for mistaken assumptions is rather galling. The least they could have done was send someone - anyone - around to apologize for the mistake that someone leaped to with no facts or basis or skills to read a situation and see that my granddaughter was not kidnapped. I guess we should be thankful that ICE wasn't called. read more

We had a crack of dawn flight back to San Diego so we stayed at the Ramada by the airport our last night in Spokane. This hotel needs some work. Our room left a lot to be desired. *If equipped with a wall or floor unit, I always check the A/C filter. We don't want to breathe other people's goo. The filters in this room were full of goo! It was beyond disgusting. I cleaned them in the bathroom sink. I believe that I was the first ever to clean them. *Our room shared a wall with the indoor pool area. While it was convenient proximity to the pool, the shared wall had a serious mold problem. In the corner next to A/C unit there was a hole where the drywall was wet, moldy and crumbling. *The bathroom vent was a disgusting mess too. *The "patio" was a small, gravel patch that was completely overgrown with weeds. There was one cheap-ass red plastic chair on it. One chair. That's it. *The tracks for the sliding glass door to the patio looked like they had never been cleaned either. *One wall had a bunch of odd deep scratches in the paint. For as bad as that all was, the bathroom, surfaces and linens were all clean. the bed was comfortable, the TV was good and there were plenty of USB ports and electrical outlets at our disposal. In-room coffee and a mini fridge were nice. The free shuttle to the airport was why we chose Ramada. The indoor pool area was pretty cool. The water slide was fun. The hot tub was large - and hot. The water seemed like it had plenty of chemicals to kill all the bacteria of a public pool. Star at the front desk was super nice and helpful. read more

Decided to stay at this hotel because they advertised a variety of pools and a water slide. Took a family of six, booking two rooms. The rooms were dirty with food waste on the floor. The pool area made us cough and gag due to high unhealthy chlorimide levels. Burned our eyes, skin and lungs. Everyone was coughing, even the young lifeguard. We left the hotel immediately and rebooked next door. Had to shower twice and we are still red-eyed and itching hours later. Will report them to the health department. On a positive note, I was not expecting much from the rooms but they are more updated than I thought. The fridge is a plus, the TV is dated. The location of this place was why I choose it. It is only right down the street from the airport. When you exit out the doors of shuttles it's across the street to the right. They have a shuttle that goes until 8am-1am. If your flights are outside of that time, you don't really have to worry because the airport is really close, so you could just walk. I also loved that they had a free breakfast in the morning. They also have a fire place in the building, swimming pool,and outside fire pit. The basic rooms do not have a microwave, but each hall has one that you can use. read more

The location is great and walking distance to the airport. Our room was clean and nice. The pool with the slide was AWESOME. But do you know what was more awesome? THE STAFF. From the moment we walked in we were treated like queens. I'm a blonde and need all the help. Manuel checked us in and he was funny and so so helpful. A+ to him but it gets even better. I saw reviews that the lifeguard was mean and terrible. They must have gotten rid of that life guard because Kelton and Dalania were perfect, fun, nice, lifeguards. I felt totally safe letting my terrible swimmer (8) go down the slide and I kind of stopped paying attention because there were two lifeguards on duty and they were both doing their job more than expected. I'm not done. We turned our rental car in already so we ate in house. The restaurant was closed and we were told to go to the bar to put in our order. I had one second of disappointment till the bartenders made us feel like the only customers in the whole hotel. John and Angie made my kid feel so special. I could have ditched my kid and hung out at the bar alllll night (of course I didn't). They both felt like old friends Again, we were treated like queens! They had lots of tables in the bar area, but we opted to take out food back to the room. I went back for the food 15 minutes later and the chef George brought out our food to make sure everything was ok. I'm a pain in the butt and asked for sides stuff like ranch( should have ordered it earlier) and he went right back in the kitchen and got it for me. Not only was the service impeccable, the bar was clean and tidy, and the food was fantastic. Next time we fly into Spokane , this will definitely be our hotel of choice. Let me start off by saying we don't know where we caught covid, but we stayed a week at this hotel in the 2 bedroom efficiency suite. We both took a covid test before we came out which was negative since we're visiting family. When we checked in after 3:00 the person at the front desk said they were cleaning our room. We waited 10 min and it was "ready". We walked in, the barstools were sticky like something was spilled on them, the remote controls had food stains on them, there was hair on the bathroom shower wall, a beer can on the balcony, plate under one of the beds ...how is this meeting the cleaning standards for covid ? As far as the room goes it's very old, dark, rugs put together funny, dip in part of the floor when walking, had a musty smell , one of the couches you sink down and hit the wood frame, the doors are extremely old very squeaky, the toilet is like a kids size and low to the ground with stains in the toilet from being old, towels that said , "cosmetic" were so worn out I wouldn't use it on my face, shower tile missing around the shower head just an open space to inside the wall. The Keurig coffee maker I don't thinks been cleaned , it has a very bitter gross taste when using a coffee pod. I used another coffee pod from the same box in a different keurig at my son's house and it tasted like coffee should so I did not use that coffee maker again. TThe top of the fridge was full of dust hadn't been touched . The elevator must be from the 70's, extremely small clunky and slow. Positives: There was room to walk around , regular size fridge (which makes clunking noises at night), and it was quiet for the most part but other than that really disappointed in our stay to be honest. When we checked out the person at the front desk was very nice, apologetic, appreciated our feedback. The people that worked at the hotel were friendly and would say hello when walking by. My mom started getting a cough a day before we checked out. I then had the same cough . We both ended up sick and tested positive for covid which we are still going though now. Again I'm not blaming the hotel but, to know how unsanitary it was when we walked in and had to use our own Lysol wipes to try and make sure it was clean wiping the barstools and remotes and counters down isn't acceptable especially with covid being around. read more

We stayed here because of an early flight. A present surprise. People were super kind and helpful. Some of the restaurant was scaled back since covid so everyone eats in the bar area. Large quantities of food and very good. Not sure I would drive out from Spokane to eat there but we were happy to have a good meal before leaving. The waitstaff was small but friendly and kept moving. Suggest you mellow out and do not be in a hurry. Leave that stuff at home.If leave before their free breakfast they give you a sack breakfast. I would give that C grade, because the fruit was not good and many bad ingredients. Airport shuttle starts at 0600. The driver was very friendly even though his work hours suck. I highly recommend this hotel. It is older but very well kept and aesthetically appealing with a mid century modern vibe in the common areas. The room was immaculate, the staff incredibly accommodating and the location is perfect for those needing to be by the airport and rental car return. Of all the places to stay in Spokane, we specifically chose this one because of the waterslide- which was open but closed mere minutes after we arrived, well before the advertised pool hours. The room was ok. Some wear and tear you'd expect in an older, cheaper place. The bed was meh, I've slept on better floors in airports. The "office center" is running a machine powered by hamsters from the 90's. It was borderline useless, and the front desk staff were zero help. Speaking of front desk staff- we spoke to three different staff members while we were here. One was decent, one was obviously miserable, and one was outstanding. We could've chosen a better place to stay, and next time, we likely will. read more

We walked into our room to be hit in the face with a musty wet carpet kinda of smell. We thought at first it was a Covid disinfectant cleaner but after feeling the wet carpet we realized it had just been cleaned. We had to open the sliding door to get rid of the odor to no avail. The "queen" bed was more like a double/full and the room was just trashed from pets having stayed here. We were only staying for less than 12 hours or we would have complained and changed rooms. I don't understand why they would release a room for a guest when the carpets were wet. I will NOT be staying here again or recommending this hotel. Spend your money elsewhere. read more

This location has become my go-to lodging whenever I need a room near Spokane WA. I've had to book many a room near Spokane over the years and I am a die hard La Quinta fan but the La Quinta location in Spokane is not up to par with my experiences with that chain. Ramada is now also owned and operated by Wyndham and when I booked this room, the price point was perfect! The staff was friendly but I feel like the young lady who checked me in either thought that I knew everything already or she just forgot to let me know about things like the wifi password or where to find it. Where I should or shouldn't park my car, where to find breakfast in the morning and so on. She did however ask me if I was leaving my car with them while I flew and I informed her that I did not have a flight booked so you can imagine my surprise when my phone kept going off with notifications from the hotel about my scheduled flight getting close. Oh well, not too much of a bother. The room as clean and pretty quiet. There was a huge gap in my door that let light from the hallway into the room and in the morning, I was woke by the smell of someone's cologne or perfume that they had bathed in filling my entire room. I only needed a place to sleep for the night so I didn't use any of the amenities but they do have a coffee maker, mini fridge, microwave and all of the basics. The bed was very comfortable and I usually bring my own pillow but didn't have the opportunity this time so I ended up having to use theirs. This is probably my biggest complaint with most hotels these days. When did they opt for the small square pillows? They used to have real adult size pillows on their beds and now you get some small half pillows to deal with. Whatever, guess I better remember mine next time. read more

Well, this is our first of two nights. I will update if it gets any better, as we literally JUST checked in. No trash bags (in their effort to go green), dark hallways, and the main reason I am so annoyed... we have had the reservation for a couple of weeks (only because our kids were so excited about the water slide) and we walk in to the room and find a full sized bed and a couch hideaway- FOR OUR FAMILY OF FIVE. The couch hideaway mattress is literally falling apart, picture attached. Icing on the cake: their website says nothing about restrictions on height for the water slide- but the page long list of pool rules in the room states that you have to be 48".... So two of our kids can't even use the slide. My advice, skip the slide and go to Hampton Inn and Suites. Much cleaner, newer, nicer and far better front desk staff. Update: the alarm clock went off 5 minutes after I wrote the review... at MIDNIGHT.... and woke up all three of my children. So. You could say it's really going uphill. ‍ Day 2: Spoke with the front desk about why they put us in such a small room and they said "they just do what they're told". Since my husband physically SAW the spreadsheet that said that we were a party of 5, I knew this was a blatant lie, so I just dropped it. Also, made the mistake of washing my face with their rectangle soap and had to invest in some Benadryl because my face turned red, blotchy and started to swell! I asked the front desk for the box packaging just so I can figure out what I am allergic to and they chuck another bar of the devil's soap at me (of course I had already checked the wrapper for ingredients and there were none). The good: The breakfast is free, good and the breakfast staff were helpful and friendly. We had lunch and since it is only served in the bar (I had three kids), they sat us in the restaurant and the bartender came over and took our orders and was VERY sweet and patient with us. Two of my three kids were able to use the water slide and had a blast. I think the pool area is very well suited to small children, which is nice. Copies were also free on the guest computer, which was nice. Their little store leaves something to be desired, but they had Benadryl and a cute magnet . Dinner at the restaurant was AMAZING. We went to the pool and it was PACKED. There was apparently a kid's birthday party with WAY too many kids. There were also a ton of adults from the party drinking and swearing (I usually don't care, but come on! There's kids around!) The slide was open from 4-10pm. Back in the room, I had the joy of having 2 out of three kids vomit in the middle of the night and they did arrive with new sheets, towels and a pillow within 10 minutes. There was a front desk gentleman this morning that was very sweet about giving us a late checkout at noon. Mixed review. I don't think we will stay here again, but the experience did seem to start to go uphill. read more

Windows were open in the halls and it was 93 outside. Blinds in rooms open. No ac in halls. First room none of the outlets worked. Ac was at 80. No internet. Second room. No internet and 76 at best. Maintenance said the thermostats were from the 90s and he has to reset them. He is full of it. I worked at apartment buildings with 100s of units. This is just a crap hotel. Don't go here. I went to laquinta downtown and ac is cold. Building is cold. Room is cleaner and brighter. Better area. Don't waste your time. read more

Their oatmeal gets five stars, their tea gets five stars but their room gets about none for the bath tub not working, the walls looking either moldy or just worn down so black is showing - and their pillows being half sized and uncomfortable. They also keep their rooms soooo cold so it took forever for us to warm up for the night. I keep wondering whenever I run into dry and warmth-less people in the Hospitality Business, wanting to ask them why they're there if they don't like dealing with people - The bed has 3 pillows, 3 not 4 that is the standard but 3 and don't know why that is - No extra blankets or pillows in the room in case You need them - Did You want a Hair-Dryer which is common in every place I have stayed - Good Luck, You won't find any - Did You want to iron your shirt or dress ? Nope - there isn't any in the room ... WTF .. - Did You want to hang Your clothes in a location that isn't RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR BED ? Nope - there's a wire rack right next to the TV, have fun alternating between looking at Your clothes and watching the television - It is 76 Degrees outside at night and the Air Conditioner stopped working. Called the Front Desk and they sent the Repair Person who unplugged and restarted it. An hour later it still didn't cool the room and the temperature inside the room is 77 Degrees. Called the Front Desk again, they are out of fans and can't do anything to fix it because it is midnight and they have no help available. read more

We had 2 stays here, 10 days apart, each on weekends. We arrived around 1 am from the airport on a Friday. We chose to walk over and were surprised it was so close. August was working the front desk and could not have been nicer. We were exhausted after multiple flight delays but we still enjoyed standing there talking to her. The room was nice, quiet (we never heard 1 plane), and clean. The next morning the breakfast was excellent. Probably one of the best we've had in hotels. The yogurt in the dispenser is really good, and I'm not the biggest yogurt fan. The next stay was on a Sunday night after traveling nonstop through Glacier NP and the Canadian Rockies. Again we were exhausted, and again we got a nice, clean, quiet room. Unfortunately it was August's night off, but the receptionist on duty was nice and helpful. Do not stay here. I should have read the reviews before I booked. Room was filthy, took pictures and showed to front desk and had the room comp'd. I texted them the 5 pictures of the filth. Then found out that the AC doesn't work - the thermostat can't be controlled. Two repair persons came and couldn't repair it and no other rooms are available. Went to the restaurant, which online said was fully available and was my main reason in reserving the room only to find out that the bar was serving 4 bar foods which did not include a salad. I do not eat bar food. Went back to the staff and she said she didn't appreciate me talking to her about it...I never raised my voice or cussed...then I had no choice but to ask for the general manager's number. Left a voicemail and no response. Called corporate and created a complaint. Do not stay here it is horrible. And the staff is offended if you complain even if you complain politely. Pics are: dirty fridge; carpet not vacuumed, thermostat temp at 77 when set at 63, hair on bed under pillow when I pulled back pillow (not my hair), floor next to desk that obviously hasn't been cleaned for a long time. read more

Best hotel for family's. Lovely courtyard, great lifeguarded pool and water slide, comfy beds

Really enjoyed my time here. Mix of older hotel but nicely remodeled. Check in was very smooth. Room was clean and decent. Loved the lounge and had a great burger for dinner. The breakfast buffet had plenty of choices in a nice and cozy atmosphere. I'd defiantly stay here again, especially if I had my kiddos with me. Saw lots of happy kids going to and from the pool. Also loved the outdoor fire pits that are going constantly. They did a great job decorating for Christmas! read more
