What an amazing place. It combines my two favorite things: good beer and sushi! The beer is amazing, IPA worthy of New England. Hazy, tasty and delicious. I loved the kha gerrera. The sushi rolls were so good. We tried a few of the special rolls, all scrumptious This place is a "must come" if you are in Sandusky OH' Ps we had to leave the park early to make it here. Totally worth it.

Excellent experience for dinner. This is a large spacious brewery that has a full bar and great food. Multiple rooms with bar seating and rational tables. Service was friendly, helpful with selections, and attentive. We sampled a variety of beers and all were great. They also have top shelf bourbon selection. Had the spicey tuna sushi as an appetizer and the spicey chicken and vegetables served with rice. Both were fresh and had great flavor. Highly recommend a visit to this place. We will be back.

The space is huge with very large projection screens for sports viewing. The service is attentive and friendly. The music is at a nice level playing popular hits. The bar is large with multiple tables for seating. Parking is available on the streets and there appears to be parking lots and or garages near by. They have a large selection of tap beers and liquor. The food is Asian fusion with sushi and Thai dishes. We shared the spicy tofu lemongrass with rice. The dish came with rice, fried tofu and onions in a lemongrass sauce that was well balanced with flavor and spice. I wish it came with a few more vegetables to add some additional flavor and color. They have many meat dishes that could be easily substituted with tofu but I didn't ask because they have a vegetarian section. The prices is about average for this type of food, $14-20 a plate. The portion size was perfect for two with sharing an appetizer.

Had such a great experience at Clags when we were visiting Sandusky. So many beers on tap- bummer there isn't a printed menu but they change their beers so much it's probably better to stick to what they're doing, and the bartender was extremely helpful. I wanted a sour and she had great suggestions and let me try a lot of them. Very cool to have some cocktails on top too- they definitely have something to please everyone. And the food- HUGE Asian food menu. Sushi, noodle dishes, stir fry, vegetarian, gluten free. It was hard deciding. I wanted a curry with tofu and veggies, and there wasn't something exactly like that on the menu, but they made it happen. And wow- it as a huge portion and one of the best things I've had in a long time. Now I'm bummed it's so far from my home because I would eat there all the time If I could. The waitress was running around because there wasn't a lot of help, but she didn't great. Lots of tvs up if you're wanting to watch the sports and a huge bar. Really recommend.

DO NOT SKIP THIS PLACE! If you're at Cedar Point or in Sandusky, OH and you like higher end beer/whiskey selection and/or Asian food this place is a must! Service was good (we had a party of 17). I ordered the darkest and highest proof stout I could find (fire stoker at 16.6%) and the pho chicken bowl. Delicious! Highish prices for whiskey from a whiskey nerds perspective but the high selection was great!

We came randomly on a Sunday hoping for some food, beer and to check this place out as have read so many good things! Sadly, no food was being served but we did enjoy a delicious DIPA called Transfusion recommended by the bartender (so good that we decided to buy a 4-pack for home). There are numerous TVs along the large bar that wraps around the entire restaurant. Clag is a large space and I think they might have karaoke nights as I saw a huge setup near the restrooms. We will have to come back to try the food the next time we are in town.

It's a very rare occurrence when, after spending more than a half decade both in and around the craft beer industry, I am blown away by a newer brewery. So imagine my surprise and delight after finally getting to Sandusky, Ohio, of all places, and feeling exactly that at CLAG Brewing. First, let's talk pedigree. The owner's brother is at The Answer in Virginia, which perhaps explains the excellent hazies and fruited kettle sours pouring through the taps at CLAG. It also probably explains the guest taps both upstairs at the brewery, and next door at the taphouse, ranging from Chicagoland favorites like Phase Three, to Listermann and Weldwerks barrel-aged stouts. Cast it into the Fire was the highlight of the hazies for me, a perfectly balanced display of New Zealand hops bursting with flavor and creaminess. About as good of a hazy as you're going to find, along with One Million Dong and several others. The food was similarly excellent, pretty authentic Asian fare that was cooked fresh and delicious. Service staff was pleasant and friendly as well. My only even slight issue was the confusion upon first entering and lack of direction from what turned out to be the owner. At first, you're not sure if you're in the brewery or the restaurant, and there's really no signage to help you out. We were kind of nudged into the restaurant, where we almost ordered until we realized we were in the wrong spot. I'm not going to knock off any stars though, because the quality and the conversation with staff more than made up for it. We will be back!

Food was amazing, beer was amazing, service was even better. Sat at the bar and ate, had a few beers, can't wait until we return.

Stopped in for lunch and a beer the other day. We were almost overwhelmed by the great selection of Vietnamese food such that it was really hard to make a choice. I was really intrigued by the Vietnamese-style pad Thai, so I had to try that, and was very happy that I did. It was an excellent blend of two of my favorite cuisines, and really hit the spot. I had some of my buddy's salt-and-pepper calamari, and knew I would've been totally satisfied with that menu item as well. And then to make things even better, the beer menu was amazing! So many of their beers have seriously high ratings on Untapped, but I decided on the "Two Million Dong," and I could not have been happier. It was such a delight to have a beer of that quality with my excellent lunch. Clag Brewing is now definitely on my list when I'm back in Sandusky.

The brewery scene in Ohio is great and competition is tough. So how does a brewery in Sandusky of all places manage to stand out? 1. The best IPAs in the state. All of their beers are excellent, but every IPA Kha and company churn out has been a banger. 2. An amazing dinner. When I say it was one of the best orange chicken dinners I've ever had I'm not kidding. A lot of times breweries have limited or no food. CLAG is a complete Asian fushion restaurant with excellent options. 3. Kha himself. He's a character and ever present in this place. Nice guy and runs a great place. It is worth the trip.

CLAG stands for Cocky (or Crazy) Little Asian Guy and it's a brewery connected to Small City Taphouse. When you walk into the building on the right is CLAG and on the left is Small City. While you can get the Asian food menu in either spot, only in the brewery can you get the CLAG beer. I made the hour long drive from Cleveland after seeing a FB post about ridiculously stacked bloody mary's. Plus what else is there to do on a Sunday in Ohio during winter? My server at the bar was friendly albeit busy, but she introduced me to the delicious flavors of Sinh To and Banh Berri Pancake beers. A smoothie sour and imperial stout respectively. Getting the bloody mary is a hassel. I've been here about an hour and a half and I'm still waiting on it. What they advertised in their post was not what they were prepared to make. I'll update this review when my visit at the brewery is over and I'm back home.

Place looks great, but I sat at the bar for 10 minutes on a sleepy Sunday and no one could be troubled to serve me. So who knows?

Upon arriving, Chappell Roan was playing and the waitress was singing so we knew we made a good choice! There was a nice selection of beers/drinks, and a good one page menu of food- which included pizzas, appetizers, sandwiches, burgers, etc. I got the buffalo chicken pizza and I'm not going to lie, it was probably one of the best pizzas I've had it was a crunchy thin crust pizza with a couple cheeses, chicken, ranch, a nice and not too tangy buffalo sauce, and some bacon pieces that surprisingly didn't overwhelm the pizza! We also got the meatball sandwich, and the bbq bacon burger. The burger was on the small size, but the aioli in it mixed with the grilled onions made the burger so savory sweet I loved it! Street parking and less than 15min from Cedar Point!

Bartender seemed perplexed - then pulled out some mix and said she had enough for one. I asked for it spicy and she said she only had Franks red hot. Then after she served it she said she didn't have that and asked if I wanted horseradish. I declined. Drink looked dark - with no garnish. Wasn't impressed. Friend asked for Prosecco - they didn't have. Then asked for Hefe - they were out. Then asked for their lager - they were out. How is a brewery out of all their own beer? Passed on lunch and went down the street. Wasn't impressed overall.
