Very disappointed…read more Salted Cucumber appetizer average at best. Lacking flavor. Sushi rolls sampled were below average. Fried octopus ball were okay. Very hot and lacking flavor. Fried chicken ramen. Broth not very hot. Underdeveloped broth flavor. Ramen was good consistency. Very light on the greens and other additions to the ramen. Fried chicken cutlets star of the show. Very light, hot and crispy. Pork ramen. Same as above. Pork was fair at best. Very fatty but tender. And what's with the corn in the ramen. That's for a cup of noodle. Which actually has a better taste profile than this ramen broth. Service was good. Waiter was very sweet and welcoming. Prices overboard for the quality they are serving. Will not return.

It's been hard to find a good ramen and dimsum place here in Dutchess County so I was excited to…read morefind Ichido and try it out. I was so happy to see Dimsum on the menu until I saw the prices! Way more expensive than what you get in the city! So I opted for the seafood ramen lunch special for $17 which came with a choice of 2 sides. Service was quick. The place was clean with a lot of tables. I read some of the reviews before coming here and they were right, the broth was not hot enough and was a little bland. So I was very disappointed. I decided to try their sesame balls despite the price - $8.49 for 2 pieces since I was already here hoping that would make it better. Unfortunately it also missed the mark. I saw other people order noodle dish and fried rice and left with clean plates - maybe those taste better. I really hoped this place would be good.

For all you CIA or Marist folks coming into town to drop your kids off---or if you're passing…read morethough Poughkeepsie, this is the place to dine at. Head Chef and Owner, Brandon Walker, ( a former Student at the CIA---has put together a menu that will blow your mind. From the cornbread to the grits--etc. Awesome! 5 easy stars!

I'm not gonna lie--this whole dinner was part of a very specific mission. I was craving ribs, and…read morewhen I saw this place not only had them but also served hibiscus lemonade, I made the executive decision to have my family drive to Poughkeepsie from our bed & breakfast just to check it out. Worth it? Mostly, yes! Food: 4/5 We tried a little bit of everything, the Seared chicken breast - Hands down my favorite dish of the night. Perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and flavorful. Followed by the Bacon, egg, and homemade biscuit - A close second! The biscuit was dense and satisfying, and it had a really unique pesto-like sauce on top that made it memorable. Some other shout outs: 1) Orecchiette veggie pasta - Orecchiette is hard to find on menus, so I was delighted to see it here. It was a nice light option among our heavier dishes. 2) Jerk ribs - OK, so this is where my expectations and reality didn't fully align. They were well-cooked, but I'm a saucy girl, and these weren't as slathered or juicy as I'd hoped. That said, the rest of my table really enjoyed them. Also, that hibiscus lemonade? Chef's kiss. Refreshing and flavorful, and exactly the kind of detail that makes a place stand out to me. Service: 4/5 Now, here's where I was really surprised: one person was running the whole show. The head chef was managing the kitchen and the front of house--no servers, no extra help. Just him. For the amount of work that entails, he crushed it. Was it a bit slower than a staffed restaurant? Of course. But honestly, it gave the whole experience a humble, homegrown vibe that I appreciated. Also, it meant a lot to support a Black-owned restaurant and actually connect with the person behind the food. Final Thoughts: While we came for dinner, I could tell from the menu (and the vibe) that this place is really known for brunch. I'm genuinely curious to come back during brunch hours to see how the energy--and menu--might shift. Either way, it's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and looking for a spot with heart, flavor, and soul.

I ordered the shrimp soba and was very disappointed. Nothing was tasty, not the dry shrimp, veggies, cheap noodles, and boring sauce. MENU - 3.5/5. There was a good selection and I wish I got the sushi instead, which is supposed to be good. Good variety and certainly better than some other Asian American menus. SERVICE - 4/5. Fast service, nice workers. Ordered to-go with no problem. This place is run by kindhearted people, who are great with college students. ATMOSPHERE - 4/5. Very quaint space, cute decor. Besides the good lighting, nothing stood out to me. It was fitting for the restaurant vibe, but you can tell most people order to go. VALUE - 2.5/5. If you are starving, this could be the place for you. The prices are typically what you would expect for the low quality but good quantity of the food. Me personally, next time I will try something else on the menu.

Despite the great ambiance, I always find the quality of the fish to be average to subpar depending on the type. Their salmon is consistently delicious, though their tuna tasted honestly quite metallic and fishy. I also really enjoy their rice used in the sushi, which seems decent quality. Their portions for noodles and etc. and not great, I often leave this place pretty hungry and disappointed about the quality. However, it's very fun to come here with friends and sit somewhere cozy and well decorated. Don't expect great quality fish however. I wouldn't recommend any of their sashimi other than their salmon.
