I've been here twice, once on my own and once with a group of students. No one I've spoken to has been disappointed. I don't have much experience with what Ramen tastes like, but if this is subpar as some of the reviews say then Ramen must be the modern day equivalent of manna from Heaven. We really like the bau buns. Everything is great for Longview. It is close to a couple of great places I tried in Austin and Montreal. Broth is nice in the two varieties I had and the two types of noodles I tried are also great. Spice levels are through the roof if you want to try the top level. For locals they have a smoked brisket bowl but I prefer some of the more delicate flavors. read more

I was excited to hear that Longview was getting a ramen shop. We came here on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch. The service was good, and the ambience was well suited for the place. This is not like any ramen that I've tried sadly. I've been to many ramen shops and I've had better. The flavor of the broth was not as rich and deep enough like others that I have tried. I've had ramen all over the country and this was pretty good. Nothing crazy about it. Just a good ramen shop. The steamed buns with pork were delicious little snack sized sandwiches. The ramen was flavorful but not over the top. The noodles were good a little hard for my sister so I would suggest letting them sit for a minute before digging in:)! I wish I had taken a picture! The staff were very kind and welcoming. The aunties in the back making ramen were on their game! There was no messing around in the kitchen lol! The prices were fair, and portions were plenty! I have to be honest I haven't felt more comfortable in a restaurant as I did there. They have something special and I hope they stick around while we live here! We ordered tonkotsu ramen and veggie ramen to go and were looking forward to a nice bowl of hot ramen on a cold day. Veggie broth was waaay too salty and the mushroom was completely bitter, I don't even understand how that happened. So disappointed. Tonkotsu ramen was okay though. read more

This is a great restaurant for the people that love ramen. My wife and I came in on a rainy day looking for something warm and comforting and this place delivered. We wish to give this place a 5 but they didn't have something's we wanted. The bao buns were great and that sauce had a very nice flavor. My wife had the tan tan ramen and I had the naruto ramen lol. Another regular spot! Love the narato and the tonkatsu! I could eat those eggs all day! I always get the extra nori and eggs- best part!

The Ramen Saikou is another great addition of Asian food variant to the food scene in Longview. I went there to get a taste of their ramen. I tried their tonkatso one and was not disappointed. The broth was tasty, the ramen noodles were cooked just right and the service was quick. There was not a large crowd when I got there so I got lucky with the prompt service. I also liked their takoyaki. Very tasty! My companion, however, did not like the ramen she ordered (forgot the name now ). She said it was okay. Really solid Ramen spot. We had Takoyaki, Bao Buns for apps and enjoyed both. Buns could use a thicker slice of pork but the flavor is great. For Ramen we did Tonkatsu, Naruto and Veg. Everyone at the table was happy. Really glad to see places like this in Longview! read more

I love this place, it's clean and the food is great! Our waitress was awesome! Everything we had was very good. Fresh and clean tasting. I love their veggie bowl and I swap out the vegetable broth for the chicken broth. Egg rolls are good but very small. My husband loved the death bowl he got it at a level 7, he can handle a lot of spice and this level was hot! Lots of nose blowing, haha. The broth is very light, so you don't have the full feeling before you finish. it was just the right amount. They also have a challenge bowl if you are into that. It's not that it is hot from the pepper, but the broth is super hot with heat. One man completed the challenge while we were there. You are allowed 7 minutes and 1 glass of water. read more
