i had an awful experience here! i went in Friday around 3 pm with my tire light on and my car feeling slightly bouncy. I asked for an alignment/rotation and for them to inspect my vehicle because i knew there had to be something else wrong. They called me about an hour in saying my rear control arms needed to be replaced and that they would get them ordered and put in before close that night. ok cool that sucks but i did expect something like this. They called me back saying they ordered the wrong parts! and told me they would need to order the correct parts again and fix the car in the (saturday) morning. I live an hour away up the 74 I told them this at the start when i dropped the car off. They told me if they tried to put the car back together it would be dangerous to drive especially so far away and recommend I uber almost an hour home and back in the morning!!!?? so i had to find accommodations and call out of work to stay in the desert overnight for a mistake they made ordering the wrong parts... They told me it would be ready by 11am the next morning. Only for them to call me Saturday mid morning saying it wouldn't be ready till 4pm???? over 24 hours since i arrived for a stupid alignment!!!! i came in with a man with me around 2 pm saturday and told them how disappointed i was to be stuck here almost 24 hours. Angel was very kind to me and helped get me out before the projected time (4pm). Only when my boyfriend was with me did these men respect me. Ladies, this is not a safe place for us to be responsible alone. take this warning and bring a knowledgeable-looking man as a guard dog so these Ramona Tire employees don't take advantage of you. not to even mention they charged me 230 for labor that was so horrible i had to return tuesday afternoon another 1 hour drive both ways because they neglected to put the oil cap back on after preforming an oil change on my car. the oil from my car splattered all over the engine and the dip stick was halfway sticking out so to me it looked like they just closed up my car halfway through the job and didn't even try to finish up. If my oil had ran dry and caused any damage to my engine trust i would be finding a way to legally pursue these folks. do not come here ladies. or anyone at this point what the hell. i only have nice words for Angel, thank you for your help and correction services. read more

Very bad experience with Ramón Tires of Palm Desert. On January 29, 2026, I had a scheduled appointment and was asked to bring my truck at 8:00 am, with the promise that it would be ready by 9:30 am. However, when I arrived, I was told they could not even receive the vehicle until 11:00 am, with no explanation and no solution offered. The manager was unable to resolve the issue or take responsibility, which caused me to miss an important appointment. Additionally, they do not offer clear or reliable warranties, neither for the tires nor for the alignment, and the promises they make are not honored. I do not recommend this place due to poor customer service, lack of professionalism, and unreliability. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Friday I dropped my truck off to get a tire patched. The most simple situation ever!!! They informed me that the tire couldn't be patched cause the tread was low. I told him to just replace all four tires and do an alignment. Again, super simple right!? He said it would be ready Friday before they close at 6. Told me they would give me a call. Never got a call Friday so we figured it wasn't done. My husband said the truck was in the shop still so it probably wasn't done yet. Not a big deal. Saturday same thing. Never got a call. Sunday my husband drove by to check and our truck is left in the alley under a stupid tree UNLOCKED!!! If you know anything about hvac or construction companies you know how much the tools carried in these trucks can cost. Thousands of dollars worth of tools in this truck and they leave it unlocked for the people living in the trees right here to take. Of course I can't reach anyone. My keys are in their shop so I'm unable to lock it now. I'm so pissed. As you can see in the photo, there is parking in their lot. Why not put it there and lock it? How hard is that? I refuse to work with these people ever again and will tell everyone about this situation as well. read more

MDX trouble I guess I have to give a star for a review but they deserve negative stars. I towed my 2015 Acura MDX here on 3/18/25 because I felt I got shafted by Big O tires down the street. Got all brand new tires and major maintenance service and their recommended alignment elsewhere - less than 15k miles and the front tires blew on HWY 10 w my 3 & 6 year old kids at night. Big O stated everything was fine and they have no fault. I couldn't understand how they could not check my suspension during any of the services. Honestly, would have gladly paid them for fix if they would at least cover the brand new tires purchased w their warranty. So after towing to Ramona Tire - diagnosis was new upper tie rod, 4 new expensive tires and front brakes ... $2,000 later everything should be perfect around 3/18/25 (153,856 miles) This past weekend (8/1/25) at 157,776 miles taking the family to Vegas, both front tires had same issue back in March however we were stuck in back desert road w no cell service. Since I have my kids in car again I had to call emergency services to tow the car back to Ramona as well as the family for $800. We rented a car for $300 to not ruin the family vacation weekend.Yesterday(Monday) i go to Ramona and discuss w Angel Hernandez their diagnosis. He states the tie rods have no faults and lower control arms are the issue that caused the front tires to fail. First and foremost, knowing why I brought this here initially and if they checked all suspension and did alignment - I would assume the tech would have to check all suspension components conditions and torque specs... to me - the tech and Ramona are either incompetent or do not care. After arguing back and forth, Angel, stated they do not have to do anything but he will do me a "favor" if I purchase just the control arms - they cover all labor and replace both front tires -witnessed by the front counter employee. I picked up today $700 later and ALL LIES. On my invoice Angel charged me for both Lower Control ARMS and both front tires. I told him I do not feel confident with this store. His exact words were " I tripled checked everything Myself". "Please bring it in after 100 miles so I will personally make sure everything is fine". I go to grocery store and on my way home decide to check the the tire pressure. Front left 42 Front right 38 rear left 34 rear right 32. The paperwork has my tire pressure all at 33. Literally proves my thought of this place. LIES!!! I call the store annd Angel left until Thursday. Are they putting just random numbers and diagnosis on their paperwork? Did Angel actually "triple" check everything himself - either incompetent or LIES! You decide. read more

The experience was extremely unsatisfactory. I left my car for what was intended to be a one-day repair, but it ended up taking multiple days. When Mike contacted me for a quote, he was unaware of the exact figures and promised to call back in ten minutes, but I waited over an hour. When he finally provided a quote, he failed to disclose the full diagnostic report of my vehicle. I inquired about my struts and shocks, as my previous service at another repair shop indicated they were nearing the end of their lifespan. There was a prolonged pause, followed by "uhhhhhhhhhhhh, let me ask the tech," which suggested they hadn't checked until I prompted them. After waiting ten minutes, he returned to say the tech was in the restroom and would call back in ten minutes. Again, I waited over an hour. When he finally called back, he confirmed I needed front struts, as I had suspected. I asked about the rear shocks and air filter, and he replied, "Oh yeah, you need shocks too?" This further implied he hadn't checked and was merely agreeing. He then quoted me an additional $2,100 on top of the already exorbitant $800 repair for my serpentine belt. I was informed that the labor rate was $220 per hour. He assured me the repair would be completed that day, despite having previously stated he would call back in ten minutes and then waiting two hours combined. I expressed my concern about quality and efficiency, not a rushed job. Ultimately, it was described as a "4-hour job," but they closed at 6 PM, making it impossible to complete. We decided to proceed with just the $800 repair to get my car running so I could leave this dreadful shop. Mike assured me there would be no problem. However, I never received a follow-up call that day, assuming I would be contacted the next morning when they opened at 7:30 AM. I waited until 3:10 PM, well beyond the four hours, and he informed me that the parts had just arrived and they would begin working, promising completion by 4:10 PM, which was only one hour away. I questioned the four-hour estimate, and he explained that their air compressor had broken and needed repair, which had just been completed, and they were now working on my vehicle. It seemed irrelevant to my serpentine belt repair. I was already driving there, living two hours away, as I simply wanted to ensure my vehicle was still there. Upon arrival at 3:30 PM, I found my car in the parking lot with its hood wide open and no one working on it. I sat there and called what I believed was corporate to complain and seek a genuine discount for this ordeal. I spoke with a man named Jim, who attempted to contact Jose, the DM, but was unable to reach him. Jim called back, stating he had contacted Mike at the store. I observed multiple vehicles being serviced, but not mine, with its hood up for over 40 minutes, who knows how long it had been sitting like that before my arrival. Jim called again, saying he had spoken with Mike directly to offer me another discount, which was inadequate at this point. Sure enough, they then began working on my vehicle after he informed them I was sitting in the parking lot! They completed the repair in less than 20 minutes, for what was supposed to be a 4-hour job, and I paid $193 in labor fees? The lack of urgency, professionalism, and respect I received at this location was appalling. Mike should not be handling customer inquiries, and the discount I received does not compensate for the treatment and poor service I experienced. I will be contacting the DM on Monday, as Jim provided me with his phone number, and I will be leaving reviews everywhere to warn others about this dreadful location. This is the first time I have ever used Ramona and I had a rental that I needed to return!!!!! read more

I had used Ramona tire for a few years, because they were always quite reliable with the work. I really had no issues, until they changed mechanics and I went in to get an alignment after replacing my whole undercarriage, suspension steering drive shaft springs struts everything. They have one other vehicle in the shop and mine was supposed to be next. Two more customers walk in and their vehicles are dealt with before mine. It took 6 hours for the guy to do an alignment and the alignment was so bad that driving from country club in Washington to cook and Merle completely wore the inside of my tires almost bald. So I bring it back a couple of days later and I say look there's something wrong with the alignment and needs to be checked. So another 4 hours before the guy takes a look at it and says it's a bushing. I knew it couldn't be a bushing because I replaced everything just the week before. So the manager gets my truck and says keep an eye on the passenger side bushing when I hit the brakes so he pulls up and hits the brakes I don't see anything it's acting like a bushing should act. I'm trying to tell him that there's no way that one bushing would cause my tires to wear as much as they did in a 4-miles. I also forgot to mention that I paid for the 3-year warranty on that stupid alignment. I obviously couldn't drive my truck in the condition it was in, which meant I couldn't work, or bring my boyfriend to his doctor's appointment, which caused him to end up having to be rushed into the hospital by ambulance and I couldn't go visit him. I knew that the camber bolt on the right hand side was way out of alignment. The guy at Ramona had turned my camber bolt so it was bottomed out, when it is usually at 45°. So, the manager says to me, " what do you want us to just keep doing free alignments for you? Get your truck fixed." That is what I was trying to do when I brought it into them, was get the truck fixed. When I could finally afford to take it elsewhere, two weeks later, it was just as I had suspected. The alignment was way out of whack. The guy at the shop said he couldn't believe that the person who done that alignment claimed to be a mechanic. So that wonderful 3-year warranty that I paid for didn't just cost me the price of the warranty, it cost me too tires, $1,000 and lost work, $150 for a second alignment, and my boyfriend having to spend a week in the hospital. I will never go back to Ramona tire again and I'd advise others to not ever go back there. They're all nice and wonderful in the beginning and as long as things go smooth, but the second something goes south it's all of a sudden the customer's fault. I don't believe the mechanic has ever gone to school for the trade I'd be amazed if he's licensed, because he has no clue what he's doing. read more

Today I showed up 10 minutes early for it 8am appointment for an oil change. After sitting around for and hour and a half....I checked back because my car wasn't even in the bay yet and was told it will be soon. The staff then went and got my car... no thanks. All in all - 3 hours for an oil change with an 8am appointment. I valued their time by making an appointment, showing up on time (which meant nothing) and they didn't value mine at all. I found my new auto repair and tire shop. I've been trying to get my tire repaired, on my old pickup . It had a slow leak. Everywhere I went they said sorry, my vehicle was too old. The store manager David is nice. The mechanics on the other hand dont do their job right, its like they dont want to be there. Go figure. Went for an oil change and they forgot to put the lid back on to where the filter goes. Luckily i heard something rattling in the hood, i pulled over to inspect. Sure enough the loose lid was making the noise. They either dont put enough air on tires or put way too much. The wait time to get your vehicle back is crazy. They lost my business. We have been going to Ramona Tires in Palm Desert for nearly ten years with all four of our family's vehicles. However, the experience is no longer the same since Collin their long time manager left. Collin knew us by name and knew our vehicles without having to look. It was a much friendlier/familiar environment closer to that of a mom and pop shop rather than a giant corporation. There was a trust with Collin that we did not have to question and that feeling is no longer there. Even when we could get the services done cheaper elsewhere, we went with the trusted and familiar place. Now that that is no longer a factor, we will probably phase Ramona Tires out. The current staff members/management are not bad at their job, rude or anything of the sort, they just seem to be more in the business of generating profit rather than taking care of their customers who are now faceless to them. I know I am not the only one who feels this way. I have sent several friends and coworkers to Ramona Tire, telling them that "Collin will take care you and you can trust him." In fact, it was one of those friends that informed me that Collin was no longer there and he has since gone elsewhere. Called and confirmed a tire repair with the receptionist twice and both times told her I was being towed to the shop. Both times she confirmed they would fix it. 20 miles later upon arrival they tell me they can't fix it anymore because the shop is closing. Extremely unreliable and unprofessional. While working in town I've gone to Ramona to have the oil changed in my truck. I put about 500 miles on every week, so I'm in fairly often. They never disappoint. The guys are all very friendly and accommodating and if I tell them I need my truck by a certain time, it's ready. My 2003 Audi was giving me fits, with a jump in engine temp after a few moments with the A/C on. I'm looking at a long hot drive back to LA tomorrow so I wanted to get it checked out. These guys are not very honest I have to say, I guess they thought I was an idiot because I use their credit card.
