Victor and his installation staff performed like a Raceway team changing the existing wheels/tires off the truck efficiently and insuring each wheel/tire was properly balanced and installed per my instructions. Bought four tires for my car (Top of the line Michelins) and four tires for my wife's car (Top of the line Continentals) less 1 1/2 years and I'm told two of my tires are at level 3 (out of 10) also less than 17,000 miles. I got conned into buying a new set of four tires when I only needed two. I did have a have a slow leak that couldn't be fixed and then surprise there was "a nail in another tires side wall. Oh and these 2 are in the yellow almost red so you really need four. This place is the absolute worst. On top of that I've tried calling to set up an appointment to have my tires rotated and no one answers the phone. On two occasions I've came by to get air in my tires and I'm left waiting outside for 15 min. No one comes to check on you nothing. Management needs an overhaul. read more

I entered and went up to the computer station where employees were behind the computers. I stood there for three minutes not greeted. There was no eye contact or no hello. I stood there uncomfortably for two more minutes. I was the only customer at the counter one employee walked away two of them were on the computer and one on the telephone. When the telephone call hung up, I thought oh great I'm next he said I'll be right with you. Then the telephone rang and he answered the phone and ignored me and helped a customer on the telephone. I thought well I should call from my cell phone and maybe they would assist me I was just getting ready to dial and the other worker looked up and said can I help you. He gave me some information I didn't feel comfortable spending $2000 on tires so I left. Greeting your customer is very important when they enter your store. read more

Had a 11:15 appointment they were running late gave my key to associate at 11:30 and was told to return in one hour - new tires and balance and alignment Ubered home and back and came back at 12:45 and car not touched - they just started it. Apologies from management but why they didn't tell me that job would be delayed as things happen . The total lack of concern for my time and commitments is unsatisfactory. Manager offered to reimburse for my uber and I said no it's really about your disrespect of my time as I would have uber costs regardless. But what they CAN do is be the absolute best at servicing their clients and this morning was no exception! If you were in the market for a new set of tires, this location is the best location in the Coachella Valley. I have gone there. I have recommended family and friends to go get tires from there as well. The service is amazing. The inventory of tires is superior and they always have what I need or what I'm looking for in stock and if they don't, it only takes a day or two or a couple hours to get the tires in stock And I never have to wait long for them to install tires on my vehicle and highly recommend this place for all your tire and rim needs and yes, you might pay a little bit more than their competitors but it's like the same goes. Had an appointment for an air pressure check as well as a tire rotation and balance. Waited in line for at least 10 minutes (3 other cars ahead of me) and NO ONE came out to speak to the first car in line. Pretty sure with 3 cars ahead of me and NO interactions with any employees that this was going to take much longer than it should have, so I left. I purchased tires at a different America's Tire store and had a good experience. Not so much at this Palm Desert location. Maybe America's Tire shouldn't be sending out tire pressure check reminder emails if they can't handle the drummed up business -- especially ones with an appointment. **Disappointed by Lack of Transparency and Negligence** I recently visited America's Tires Palm Desert, CA, and while the staff initially seemed friendly, my experience was marked by a lack of transparency and negligence. When I brought in my car for a flat tire repair, I was informed that the tire was non-repairable due to the size of the screw puncturing the center. I asked the Rep. JC how much the replacement tire would cost, he responded, "No charge, we'll get that ordered for you," and handed me a zero-dollar flat repair receipt. This gave me the impression there wouldn't be any additional costs. Since the replacement tire wasn't in stock, they had to order it, which took six days. During this time, they discarded my damaged tire without informing me only giving me my rim and telling me that they would call me when the replacement tire arrived, to which they did not (this now has me wondering if they accurately pro-rated my damaged tire.) When I arrived to have the new tire installed, I was suddenly hit with a bill that hadn't been communicated to me at any point. As a customer, I expect clear communication, proactive service, and transparency in pricing, especially when dealing with something as essential as tire safety. This experience fell far short of those expectations, and left feeling frustrated and taken advantage of as a consumer. The culture of Americas Tires has become an up-sell/cross-sell machine, taking advantage of today's consumer. read more

This used to be not only the best prices but also the best customer service in the valley but times have most definitely changed. Pulled up for the tire/air check and there were only 3 cars in line. After waiting 20 minutes with no movement I looked back and there were now 15 cars waiting. I walked up to ask if someone was working the station to find 3 workers (two on their phones) laughing and talking. When I asked if someone was working they rolled their eyes and begrudgingly went back to work. I think it might be worth the extra money to get better customer service elsewhere. read more

Friendly service, best prices on tire, but they make up for it in labor charges. Costco a better deal overall. They charge 22.00 per tire for the tire installation! That's too much. Also, they have this $12.30 per tire charge called a Certificate for Refund, whatever the heck that is! They forgot one of my lug nuts last time. These special lugs hold in the hub cap. This cause my hub cap to fly off and a used one cost me 50 bux plus the lug. It flew off because the one lug was missing and the others they didn't tighten. I have been a customer at the Palm Desert store for eight years. Recently my TPMS was showing underinflated tires though I found out they were not below pressure when bringing my car to this location. I researched this continuing issue and believed the four sensors needed replacing. I took the car in and Cesar checked them out and found them all OK, but he mentioned my car has two recommended pressure settings based on loads. He properly inflated them to 'normal load' and now the TPMS is working properly. Cesar is knowledgeable, professional and very helpful; an asset to America's Tire! read more
