Personally had them service my truck and add a deeper transmission pan because when I tow my temps get hot. They not only installed the part and serviced my transmission , they kept it at the same price they quoted me, not like some of these other shops that give you a quote and then it changes after service is completed. I was shown the oil and the crappy stuff that was in the oil which happened to be clutch material. So we decided to rebuild it. After that Joseph test drove it and it still had the issue, so they put it on the bench again and took it apart and found that the valve body wasn't working with the old housing so I guess that mine to be that one in a hundred housings the one so we decided to go ahead and get one off the shelf from either performance products Jegs or Summit so that's what we did and they put that in and I guess the one they put in had been put on Dyno for which is really a plus and has a three-year one million mile warranty, so I was jazzed about that! About a year and a half ago, I paid to have the transmission rebuilt in my daughter's car. Approximately 25,000 miles later, the vehicle started stalling and setting transmission codes. I brought it back to Pepe's, and they told me it needs another transmission. This time, I was quoted roughly DOUBLE what I paid for the rebuild just a year and a half ago. I told them I needed some time to think about it. It's an older car, this is a significant amount of money, and I'm simply trying to keep my daughter on the road. About two hours later, she called me asking if I had made a decision. I explained that I was still thinking about it. She pretty much told me that if I wasn't going to make the decision right then on the phone, I needed to come pick up the car. That was the part that really blew my mind. I work in the automotive industry myself, and I cannot imagine treating a customer that way--especially someone who had already paid your shop to rebuild a transmission that only made it approximately 25,000 miles. There was no sense of empathy for the situation and, in my experience, very little professionalism or concern about the previous repair. Instead, I felt pressured to immediately spend significantly more money or come get the vehicle. Quality repairs and taking care of your customers should matter. I called about a week and a half ago, around June 1st, to schedule a transmission service for my car. This shop was recommended to me by a family member and this shop did rebuild the transmission for my car about 8 months ago, so I figured I would give them repeat business. When I called, I asked to make an appointment for a Saturday morning and made it abundantly clear that I wanted to make sure someone would be at the shop because I was driving from over 30 miles away. They assured me a Saturday morning appointment would work. Well, Saturday the 10th rolls around. I wake up at 6:00am on my day off to make sure I get through caring for all the animals on the property and leave with enough time as to not keep the shop waiting. I show up exactly at 9am at the the shop, and nobody is there. I called the number I could find for the shop, and the lady that answered let me know she was "really sorry and forgot to cancel [my] appointment, but I did cancel all the other appointments I had on the calendar today." REALLY?! You remembered to call everyone you had scheduled EXCEPT for me, the one who was probably driving from the furthest distance?! AFTER I made that clear when I set the appointment?! Your apology did not put fuel in our vehicles, nor did it get back the hour and a half we spent driving, nor did it negate the fact that I had to wake up at the crack of dawn on my day off to accommodate YOUR weekend schedule. I will never give this shop my business again, nor will I ever recommend them. Their property looks like a junkyard, to boot. I may pay a little more elsewhere, but I'll get the service I expect (which is the bare minimum for customer service. I don't ask for a lot).

If you need a quality transmission rebuild, Valley will build it right. They're meticulous in their…read morework and detailed in the execution. Every nut and bolt touched on the transmission is QA paint marked, and the transmission and peripherals are spotless, which is a huge compliment considering the 20 years of baked on diesel grime it went in with that a pressure washer and a can of GUNK wasn't able to touch. The truck drives great, the shifts are quick, but not jerky and harsh. I don't think It's ever driven this good. Caution be warned, however, they'll have your vehicle for an extended period of time (depending on the work needed, obviously). Paul told me they average 10-15 days for a rebuild. Dropped it off Mid November, expecting to not have it for a couple weeks. Got the truck back on December 23, more than a month later. Spent about $1500 in rental fees to rent a truck and $400 in batteries when they told me they were dead (when you let it sit for a month...).

I have been going to Aero on Lake Murray since their business started there a few years ago. I am…read morethe owner of two vehicles. I own a Nissan cube and an older 95 Toyota Previa van. The Nissan has been repaired a few times and though I wish it didn't cost as much as it did for the repairs overall they did a good job and were up-front with me for how long it would take and how much it would cost. The van's engine needed to be re-worked. It cost a lot but they did it. I knew it would because I knew an older van like this would be costly to fix. So they did the work and a few months later a gasket blew. I brought it back and they honored the warranty. It took a few months to fix but because the parts are so hard to find it took several months. (Once again, because it's 3 decades old, I knew this would take a while to do.) Since then it's needed some other repairs but they've honored the warranty and it hasn't cost me very much. I'm appreciative of the way they walked me through the hard times while waiting for parts etc.. I'm also super appreciative that they took on the work in the first place as some mechanics will refuse to work on vehicles this old. I love my car and van and it's good to know they're both in good hands.
