This place is average at best. I used to come here years ago and it was much better quality food. The last time I ate here I was not impressed. I got the Philly cheesesteak the meat was tough and very, very salty. I couldn't even eat it. We were looking for some local cuisine and Ramshackle was highly recommended. I dined with several of my coworkers so it took a while for seating on a busy Friday night. We drank, laughed and enjoyed the old time decor. The decor included things like license plates, an old cigarette machine and of course this chair. The menu was full of the typical fried fan fair bar cuisine. Our waiteress was attentive. The food was good but nothing over the top noteworthy. The ok food and the sewer like smell that was in the air is the reason for the 3 star ratting. Parking is not the best. Restaurant was packed on a Friday at 11:30 am. Very close quarters. We were confused as to where front entrance was. Found side entrance which was not the best. Main entrance was on the street and you have park in back. Was told to find a table. Quite dark and hard to see. Found a table way off to the back side. Server was great. Menu is in newspaper form. Ours was greasy and ripped. Didn't like that. Food choices looked great. We chose boneless wings in mild favor with fries. 1/2 lb. We got 5 small boneless wings which were slightly overcooked. Fries great! We will go back but not order the boneless wings. Atmosphere was definitely bar and they do have outdoor seating. They could use a bigger building and better parking. read more

Found this place on yelp. It looked fun so I ventured to this place. Lo and behold! I've been here before during their Leesburg Bike Fest. Anyway sat at the bar and had a nice cold beer which was good. The bartenders were friendly but seemed like they didn't want to be there. Ordered my food and while I was waiting a Roach crawled towards me on top of the bar. I swatted at it and it headed back to behind the bar. I told the bartenders and they didn't apologize or anything. They just said ewww. My food came, a buffalo chicken sandwich and it was two chicken tenders in a big hamburger bun. I was afraid the roach was coming back so I quickly ate the two tenders and got out of there. No manager, no apologies no discount. I will not be going back. Totally grossed out. Stopped by about 8:15 pm on a weekday! Sat on the porch where Summer was our server! The service was absolutely outstanding and the food was very well prepared! Had a really nice time here with my sweetheart for lunch. The menu is an old style new paper from back in the days with some cool stories to read. We ordered the Club Sandwich and a side of Jalapeno Poppers and they were both delicious. Everything was freshly made. So glad we had decided to share. The Club Sandwich alone was a lot. Sat outside on a beautiful day. A few very loud cars but overall outside would be my choice again. We decided to just do some apps. The nacho plate was very good. Lots of toppings...used a fork! After attempting to eat at a couple of other restaurants on our way out of Orlando (they were too crowded) we decided to just get on the road and look for a place on the route home. My Apple Maps search offered many options in Leesburg including Ramshackle Cafe. We decided to leave the Florida Turnpike and find Ramshackle Cafe. We're so glad we did. It certainly seems like the place a lot of locals frequent. When we walked in, one of the staff told us to sit anywhere. We sat pretty close to the door at a high top table. Jimmy was our server, he was fantastic. Funny and made us feel completely comfortable. We ordered appetizers, Fried Mac & Cheese, cheese curds and corn nuggets. For our main courses, I ordered the Black & Blue burger, my sisters ordered wings and chicken tenders. All were delicious. The appetizers and our food came out super fast, we were amazed!! After we finished our meal, Jimmy asked if we wanted dessert, I asked him what was good. He suggested the little key lime layer cake. So we ordered that and the fried cheesecake, both were good but the little layer cake he suggested was the better of the two. I highly recommend this place and will return if I'm ever back in the area. read more

Teriyaki wings were tasty, cheeseburger was amazing, my sister loved her chicken fingers. We adore the decor. We sat indoors (plenty of seating. Comfy and fun) but outdoor patio looked fun too. This cozy spot doesn't look like much when you pull up but I assure you that the Ramshackle won't disappoint. I decided to eat outside since the weather was nice. The menu I almost overlooked because it's a folded newspaper sitting on the side of the condiments on your table. Whatever your cravings are the Ramshackle has something for you. I went with the Hwy 27 steak sandwich it was pilled high with cooked mushrooms, onions, green peppers, and topped with melted cheese. The tender morsels of steak were tucked neatly in the bun. One of the best steak sandwiches I've had. I'll be back to try out more of the the Ramshackle's menu. read more

We visited this location with a couple of local friends, based on their recommendations. For us, it turned out to be one of those 'unfortunate' situations where their raves were not rewarded. It happens to the best of us, I'm sure. Friend 'A' spoke quite 'flavor'-ably about the French Onion Soup. So, all 4 of us ordered a cup. What we got was a cup of fairly tasteless broth, with some onion and a little bread, lots of white melted cheese. The lack of flavor let me and my Fab One down tremendously. We have had incredible French Onion Soup before, and this was nowhere even close. Three of us ordered sandwiches, with French Fries. When our orders arrived, all 3 orders of fries were stone cold. We had no choice but to ask for a re-order of fries. Our re-orders came out piping hot, which we appreciated but hated to have to ask for. This was not a good day for members of the potato family. My Fab One, in addition to that cup of soup, only wanted a loaded baked potato. Her tuber came out uber cold as well! She put cheese and butter on it and patiently waited as nothing melted. She was not happy about this but she did not want to reorder. I insisted she re-order since this was all she was eating and I wanted her to be full, and happy. Her reorder came out piping hot. Service was good, I'd say that would be a saving grace. Our server did her best and was very apologetic for the potato predicaments. The sandwich I ordered was the Original Hwy. 27 Steakout, listed on the menu as Tender sliced beef with sauteed onions, mushrooms, peppers & lots of melted provolone. Served on a toasted hoagie roll with lettuce, tomatoes & mayo. Essentially a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. It was not bad, but it was a tad under seasoned. A pinch of salt brought out the flavors. I believe our 2 friends' food was okay for them, other than the cold fries. They didn't say much about it. Likely they were embarrassed with the problems we were experiencing. In closing, I believe we'd give Ramshackle Cafe another try, hoping for a better outcome. read more

Interesting little restaurant with hundreds of license plates hanging everywhere as well as other interesting items. Seat yourself and service comes quickly. We only stopped for a drink and appetizers, but the menu is fairly extensive so there is something for everyone. My husband and I had beer and shared the Combo appetizer. It consisted of 3 wings, 3 potato skins, and loaded nachos. The wings were just ok. The sauce was good, but there was very little meat. The potato skins were very good. The nachos had large chunks of ground meat on them which was very spicy. If the meat had just been crumbled, instead of large chunks, it would have been way easier to eat. The parking is a bit rough due to the popularity of this place. I had the Patty Melt and asked it be cooked medium. It was perfect!! The fries were good but nothing exceptional. My wife had a wrap of some sort with onion rings. She indicated it was just ok. Onion rings were good but needed a little longer in the fryer. The atmosphere was fun as well.
