Soups, sandwiches, and pumpkin bread oh my! What a great little place downtown Leesburg for just the perfect sandwich and cup or bowl of soup to please your tummy. There's the offering of pumpkin bread with some of the dishes or you can add it on for an additional $.50. I will say the 50 Cent peace is just a teaser so I think I would probably try to get a larger slice if I went back. I had the curry chicken salad sandwich and a cup of the spinach gnocchi. Both were the perfect size and filling enough for the rest of the day. Cute little place on Main Street and a great choice for a nice lunch. First time I went with a friend and got the turkey on ciabatta. It was really good, good roll and a yummy, though very small piece of pumpkin bread. The restaurant was almost full, but not overly noisy. Service was good. On my second visit, I brought some out of town friends. They enjoyed their meal and the atmosphere. I had a salad with chicken. Ingredients were fresh and tasty but greens were too large to get on the fork easily. I don't like to have to chase my food around the plate. Service was a little slower but we were in no hurry. Cute little, privately owned cafe. I am always looking for some place to eat that is not a chain. I accidentally found The Florida Porch Cafe and I'm glad I did. However, not everything is made from scratch. I inquired about the soups and was told that only one of them, at least on the day I went, was home made. I also don't believe all of the dressings are made from scratch because it tasted like my sandwich had bottled blue cheese dressing on it. I know the difference between home made and bottled. With this said, I still feel this cafe is well worth visiting. The breads, I believe, are home made, as well as the quiche. I have yet to confirm this with them. I really don't want products that are off a Sysco truck that are frozen and then baked. that's not home made. I will definitely be visiting this sweet little cafe again. Ok.So it's Bikefest in Leesburg and rather than attempt a food truck,I wanted to have something to eat in an actual sit down restaurant. This place was smart.They had a small Bikefest menu.All the lunch meals were 12.00 each.Excluding tip.I had the bbq shredded chicken on a bun. Side of potato chips and a pickle. While the food was fresh and good,the price point was way too high. We came after lunch time, but they were open and I had the Crab Wrap. I asked for some mustard and yes that strange, but added a nice touch. It was great!! My wife asked about Gluten free items and they had 2 soups, which they split foe my wife to half. Also, she got the curry chicken and on a bed of lettuce rather than bread. She said it was delicious. It's a super cute find on Main Street with consistently good food and very pleasant serves who want to please. I love their tuna salad, and while this seems somewhat everyday food, the tuna salad has something special; I like it a lot. However, my favorites are always the soups; one is better than the next, but the Italian Wedding is my favorite. Plus, the pumpkin bread is yummy, and I'm not a pumpkin fan. We try to visit once a week, and it's always a relaxing and happy experience. It's a homey atmosphere and a great find in Leesburg. In fact, we're going back today! read more

This is kind of a cutesy ladies place. I came with hubs. A bit of a strike as the table just wasn't quite big enough, his voice was a bit too deep and carried, the chair a bit too tiny - you know. But once past THAT - the food was quite good. He got soup and sandwich and thought it excellent. I got chicken salad and also thought it excellent. Our waitress was pleasant and on top of things. Average but with a quirk.... If you come with a group, they limit what you can order to only what's on their "group menu". Fixed price of $16. Quiche was delicious. Fruit was canned. I came here with my Mom's stitching group and didn't have a very good experience. We were a group of six with a reservation for one lady's birthday. A table of 7 had their order taken after ours and served first. When we enquired about our food after a half an hour, the woman making the food was quite rude about how she was going as fast as she could while yelling at the lady whose birthday it was. The wait staff was very nice and the food was good. The service from the kitchen left a lot to be desired. I was told the lady in the kitchen is the owner. If that is true, I think there is a lot of improvement to be made on customer service. read more

The pumpkin bread must be one of their specialties as it comes with several menu selections and was quite tasty. They also serve Starbucks beverages and have assorted baked goods. This is when I really like reviewing. We came in the evening for open mic. Great performers were here. All those who came for the evening ordered something to eat. They had a very pleasing choice of menu items but we went with salads, quiche and soups. The 2 ladies running it busted their butts to get people served. If you want to pay for overpriced wraps/sandwiches that my kid niece could prepare in her teen-living class, search no further. My BLT wrap was underwhelming. It's insulting that it costs $10. My grandmother asked that her tuna wrap be substituted with bread instead of a tortilla and you would think that she turned the whole cafe upside down. They served it without the chips that the wraps come with because she substituted the bread and "now it's a sandwich". HA! Overpriced and small portions for average food.

Over priced poor service. A few of us had a short window for lunch at work so we placed a take out order. I ordered a salad with grilled chicken and a dressing on the side. What I got was a wrap with salad in it and 3 little bite size pieces of chicken in it. ( I just threw away $10.00)had to remove the wrap because it was swimming in dressing that was not on the side. In addition to this no plastic forks for any of us to eat with. I called to bring this to their attention and had someone completely clueless. I asked for a manager and she said no one was there. Dined for lunch on a quiet weekday. It was not busy and we were able to select a seat quickly. We had a very nice lunch - although our server was a friendly but rather quirky young man. He described the quiche incorrectly (we heard another server describe it differently and we confirmed the correct ingredients). He forgot a few things and overall, just seemed pretty spaced out. The only issue I would address in this cafe is food allergies. I could not believe his response when a member of our party let him know that she has a peanut allergy. This is something she tells every server in a restaurant and has done so for 18 years. We have NEVER had anyone respond the way this waiter did. He basically stared at her for an uncomfortable pause and then said (kindly), "Well, I don't know what you want me to say about that....I hope you have an epi-pen!" It was like he didn't understand why we were telling him? The odd server aside, the food (egg salad on a croissant, curry chicken salad, and chicken ranch wrap) was excellent. This is a great Little place in downtown Leesburg with a quaint atmosphere and friendly staff. We had the quiche of the day (spinach and cheese) and it was delicious. Their specialty pumpkin bread comes with the meal along with a fresh fruit salad. We enjoyed a Starbuck's Chai Tea Latte for dessert. Just went in for lunch and paid my bill at the counter. After leaving, I was chased down by the owner saying I paid the wrong bill. Went back to pay the difference and was overcharged. When I asked for the refund on being overcharged they said I didn't over pay and never return my money. I showed them the math to explain how I had been over charged and even after showing the difference, they were not willing to refund. Will not be returning! The place is significantly over priced for the quality of food and the owner and waitress are rude!! read more
