We had a lovely lunch today at Ranch to Table in Cadiz, Ohio. We were on our way home from Wheeling, West Virginia and were looking for someplace new with a home cooking feel. This was it! The server was friendly and attentive. I was very impressed by how clean and in good repair the whole restaurant was. My husband had their home made Chicken Salad on wheat bread along with their home made tomato soup. He raved about it! I had their special which was the tomato soup and a grilled cheese on sourdough bread. Very tasty and hot! Next time we are in the area we'll be back! read more

Its closed down food got expensive and the service was ok. But the portions got smaller and therefore started losing business.

This is a little gem is perfectly halfway between our HOME (Coshocton) and Pittsburgh. Nice to know there's somewhere to stop for a meal on our way home after an afternoon Pittsburgh Pirates game. This is a DEFINITE no-frills mom and Pop restaurant with an assorted menu. Our waitress was working by herself on her DAY OFF (which we heard her tell more than one person. Lol) and the restaurant was uncrowded. The food was good, somewhat reasonably priced, GOOD PORTIONS, and arrived surprisingly quick. We saw others eating spaghetti, and the roast beef sandwich which also appeared very appetizing. My husband and I shared the fish dinner which comes with HAND CUT french fries and a side dish. We chose the white cheddar mac & cheese for our side dish. My friend chose the jumbo coconut shrimp for her dinner and her husband chose the Reuben sandwich which came with hand cut french fries. All three meals were VERY good. The tab for the three meals, 1 coffee (which was brewed PERFECTLY & fresh) & a soft drink, plus tip came to $44. read more

Very sweet service and a great spot for breakfast or lunch in an are otherwise devoid of decent spots. Mom and Pop shop with a great menu, strong coffee, and a Kentucky Hot Brown that my friend very much enjoyed. While I was on the salad train, the soups, and the sandwiches my friends had were spectacular. The salad itself was very good and I really like the cuts of chicken. It was a very a good lunch and I always love places that can accomodate a 6 person party without a reservation. Ok so for starters let me say the food was excellent. But.....and there is always a but.... Service is a complete disaster. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon at about 1330 post lunch rush. About 6 tables were seated and, seemingly, no wait. Immediately upon arrival we were told "there is at least a half hour wait". I asked if that was to be seated and was told it was minimum half hour ticket times. We had driven 30 min specifically to try this place so we stayed. The restaurant looked good, and was clean. A casual small town restaurant. Our first server approached to take our drink order, and just never returned. Now, we saw her hanging out behind the counter, but it appeared we were forgotten about. Eventually a second server approached and got our drinks and order. We ordered an onion ring appetizer. It was $7, and included FIVE average size onion rings. They were pretty good, but not $1.40 apiece good..... I ordered the hot roast beef sandwich and my wife ordered a reuben. 20ish minutes later, not only had our food not arrived, but the server returned to inform me that they did not have roast beef available today. I switched to a fish sandwich. About 15 minutes later ( so about an hour after sitting down) our food arrived. The food was very good and the portions were adequate. The "hand cut fries" were not as crispy as I would have liked and seemed like they were rushed out of the fryer. Overall, as stated the food was , in fact, really good. Definitely some portioning issues on the appetizer. Service wise though, this place is a dud. While our second server did her best, she just could not bail the water out quick enough to keep the boat from sinking. I heard several tables complaining regarding the excessive ticket times. We heard a server say there was "just one cook back there and she makes one order at a time" I am unsure if thats going to be a successful business model..... Loved the food, but would be deterred from returning due to the total lack of acceptable service. read more

Recently visited Ranch to Table for dinner with family. One relative ordered chicken stir fry, it came out cold and there was NO chicken in it. The egg rolls were cold as well. I ordered a club sandwich and asked for one thing to be removed, that item was put on the sandwich anyways. Although, the service was very accommodating and attempted to remedy the issues, the food was mediocre. read more

This is a great spot to get locally raised beef. My roast beef open faced sandwich was moist and tender. The restaurant is clean and the servers are attentive. We were visiting from out of town, but I loved how the customers all knew each other. It's a restaurant with a great hometown feel. read more

We ordered steak salads. They used to be very large but now it has been done sized bad. The steak was not steak but steakums the frys were sogy. This salad used to be awesome but now I wouldn't recommend it. The price has gone up and quality gone down. I do not recommend this restaurant read more

My wife and I went to Ranch to table for the first time today, the restaurant was nice inside and clean. We ordered the corn chowder and it was pretty good. Then the issues start, we both ordered salads and added fries. I had the large steak salad for 13.99 and the menu says strips of fresh sirloin steak. The meat that was on my salad was literally steakums, yes STEAKUMS and it was a tad bigger than a side salad. My wife got the small fried chicken salad for 9.99 and it came grilled and had 6 very small chunks of chicken that couldn't of been more than a half of a piece of grilled chicken from a fast food restaurant. Both salads came without fries that we ordered and hard boiled eggs which was supposed to come with them. Waitress said they were out of eggs and fries would take 5 more minutes to come out. While Ranch to Table has very nice decor and the food is decent, the restaurant now adds a surcharge for credit card users, which they do not disclose until you get the check. That's a very shady business practice and is a good enough reason to look elsewhere for breakfast or lunch while in Cadiz. read more

This little place is absolutely a gem that you must experience for yourself if you are passing through town. From the service and decor to the food quality, we were thoroughly impressed. The day we visited they were short staffed but we still received quality everything. read more

A very pleasant surprise . We were just passing through the small town of Cadiz Ohio . Yelped and noticed this restaurant in down town quite sleepy atmosphere nothing eye catching outside , but after you enter you will very likely be surprised. Clean rustic dining room had beautiful decor . We were there during off peak hour . The waitress was very friendly and explained some of treasures that were to come from the kitchen. Family owned and beef comes from their farm . All beef is grass fed and raised in rolling hills in Harrison Co. . Can only say that the roast beef sandwich with home made mashed potatoes and gravy on the side was delicious. My wife had the grilled cod dinner . Both of us also had a garden salad as well . Very filling and very tasty with a side of down home friendly atmosphere. Will visit again in near future. read more

I am not from Cadiz so I am unfamiliar with any restaurants there. I was on a long motorcycle ride on Sept. 20, 2021 and found myself in Cadiz around lunch time. I chose Ranch To Table on a whim and I'm glad I did. Everything about the place was great. My roast beef sandwich was SO, SO good and the staff was wonderful to talk with. I also really liked the interior of the restaurant. The owner said they just remodeled it and it showed. Very nice. I highly recommend this place. read more
