Every time I have been here, the food and service has been great. Everyone is so friendly. The food is authentic and GOOD. Flavorful dishes for a fair price. The atmosphere is bright and comfortable. Amazing and authentic Mexican cuisine! I'm from San Antonio, Texas and have not had a meal as great as this in the area in past 5 years that I've been here that feels close to home. Especially the variety of agua frescas and salsas. Nothing feels like home without the complimentary chips and salsas/beans. I ordered the carne asada fries with shrimp enchiladas on top of that and it was so good with their flavors. The staff were amazing and the portions are very generous! Stopped in for a bit to eat for a party of 5 and we were all stuffed when left. So much so that we had to-go bags. We were able to get great service, great pricing, great food and nice ambience all for about $15-$20 a person. Well a little more if you include the drinks, but you get what I'm saying. Overall, this was a great find. I actually used social media to find this place and it fit the bill. We got complementary tortilla chips with salsa and refried beans. That was a meal in and of itself for me. The food came out hot. We received great suggestions from our server and I know it was authentic mixed food. Definitely not the case where I felt like I running for the border at Taco Bell. I had a Michelada with orange and cucumber garnishment and when I tell you, it was just what the doctor ordered. But maybe not the doctor, but it was right on time. Gave me just enough of a kick that I didn't feel overwhelmed by the alcohol. I actually wish I had gotten the larger size, but it's all good. There appeared to be a full bar so in the event, you don't want a specialty drink you can order whatever your heart desire. I found it not to be very busy at the time we went however as we were preparing leave evening crowd came. We realized this was a very popular place with a diverse crowd. There was an outlet right next to our table, so I was able to charge up my phone while I ate. To be noted at the end of the meal instead of getting toothpicks, they gave out dental floss pick sticks. I was born in Texas and I'm always in search of some good Mexican food! This restaurant honestly hit the spot!! The chips and salsa was amazing. Also come with frijoles and their green salsa is so good!! We had the asada fries as an appetizer , the queso was made perfectly! The restaurant was clean and played all my favorite corridos. This place has become one of our favorites since they opened. One of the ways we measure Mexican food is the beans they serve with warm chips. These are some of the best we had and slightly spicy. our favorite dish is the quesabirria tacos. Although we've not had anything we don't like. read more

Wow!!! Have seen a few posts on social media about this place and finally got around to trying it. NEW FAV RESTAURANT!!! Every dish was flavorful and really distinctive. They brought some beans to the table for an appetizer/ dip along with some amazing salsa (so fresh and bright! ) for the chips. I wound up asking for extra to take home! Hubs ordered his go-to, the chorizo pollo, and he LOVED it! I wanted to sample so i got both tamales and the esquite (corn dish). I preferred the pork (red sauce) tamales but the verde/chicken tamales was delicious also. I just liked the depth of flavor and spice level better with the pork. The esquite was DELICIOUS! I chose the chili de arbol on the side bc im weak, lol, I'm a pretty good cook at home, and I like did that had layers of flavor and THIS IS IT! I've tried lots of Mexican places over the years but this is the best ever! If you think MiCasita is great, don't come here bc you will lose your mind. read more

I went out of my way to try this place based on the strong reviews and specifically came for the caldo de res. They had run out when I arrived, so I waited about 30-45 minutes for a fresh batch. Unfortunately, the caldo did not meet expectations. The broth was clear but lacked depth and seasoning--it tasted more like lightly flavored water than a well-developed beef broth. I ended up having to add multiple ingredients at home (salt, lime, salsa, etc.) just to bring it up to a basic level of flavor. I understand caldo can be served with a clear broth, but it should still be rich and satisfying. Given the extra drive, the wait, and the price, this was disappointing. And, I was so very hungry for this particular dish. Hoping this was just an off batch, because the reviews suggest a much better experience. read more

First time eating at Rancho D Leon today and I can definitely see myself coming back. Right away we were seated and ordered drinks(horchata and tamarindo) they came in small pitchers, super cute! And was also given the chips n dip. They of course had the red salsa but they also brought a bean dip(a little spicy but worth it)! I ordered the street tacos de carne asada, they were delicious. I just had the best taco salad I think I've ever had! Been to many many Mexican restaurants most of them around here. The food is very good. They know how to make meat taste delightful. Ground beef added to different dishes is perfectly seasoned. It's not sharp or bitter or too spicy. The people people that own Rancho de Leon seem to care a great deal about how food tastes, how it's presented, if you're kept full of your drink, and anything else you might need while you're there. So I heard about this spot from a FB page and figured why not, I've tried a few Mexican restaurants in the area and none stood out. This is now top on my rotation. The margaritas were great sizes and not overly sweet or tasted like some premade mix. The food was great portions but the FLAVOR OF THE FOOD was on point, we got the Pollo Loco and the Ribeye Tampiqueno and I can't wait to try other things on menu! I don't mean to exaggerate but I am very hesitant when it comes to trying new Mexican places around Fayetteville just because they are always either a hit or miss, no in between. This place was AMAZING. I went with my boyfriend and his mother plus 1 this evening and all of us were beyond satisfied with our meals. We ordered Birria bombs, Camarones Aladiablas, The ACP,an Elote and the fried steak and everything was a 10. They brought us every kind of salsa without asking. The waitress was very attentive and so was the owner with answering our questions. Everything was so good we had to end with dessert, the fried Ice cream and Churros.
