It's tucked away in a residential area, which gives it a more private feel, even though it's actually pretty large. The parking lot is easy to access, and there are plenty of benches and tables for picnics or parties. The only thing I wish it had is a designated dog park area, since sometimes dog owners do not pick up after their pets. Other than that, I really enjoy this park and highly recommend it.

I had picnics took walks both days. I stayed to watch the sunset on Saturday And opted for a different location to view the sunset on Sunday. This is a great park for people watching. I saw people walking , walking their dog, jogging, flying kites, reading under a tree, scrolling social media, picnicing, Bbqing, playing basketball, playing on swings and play structutes, working on their vehicles, organizing thier vans, riding bicycles of every description laying or sitting in the sun or shade and taking pictures and selfies, and one old veteran playing his guitar- that was me. I was hopping some friendly person would stop by so I could ask them to take a picture, but that didn't happen. This beautiful park sits on a hilltop and offers a panoramic view of the neighborhood, and a somewhat different sunset experience over your typical ocean view. The park has paved walking paths, basket ball courts, a volleyball court, lawns suitable for any number of sports a clean restroom and a fairy large parking area, I highly recommend this park. It was a highlights of my Spontaneous weekend roadtrip.

There are plenty of areas to picnic and a few bbq areas for people who want to use them. It was a random stop to come here as I was nearby, but I'll definitely come again and let my little one stretch his legs.

It is noisy with the ocean, the traffic, the trains, etc. The restroom is not very clean or nice. The picnic tables do not have shade. If you need a small park, in that area, give it a try. Dogs are allowed on leashes if you pick up after them. There are dog waste bag dispensers and trash cans in the park. Bikes / Skateboards are not allowed to be ridden inside the park but can be carried or pushed with you. There are also drinking fountains and restrooms. Park also contains the model railroad club which visitors can view. The caretaker John who lives at the connected house is very friendly and so is his dog. He's usually either sitting on his porch or doing something inside the park so if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask him..
