I started going to Young's because I couldn't find anyone who could sharpen my chain saw chains…read moreproperly. Well, all I can say that after Dave's sharpener gets through sharpening my chain I have to handle it with gloves because it is so sharp and the pieces the saw throws are so large that you better be wearing chapps or your legs are going to get all bruised up ! Also, after suffering with a Husqvarna and Poulin chainsaws for several years that finally croaked for different reasons, I finally asked Dave (the owner) about the brand he sold, Johnsered. Dave suggested, without any pressure, the saw that would fit my needs, and I decided to buy the model one size more powerful, the 2165. I have had this saw for three years now, and suffice to say it is the best chainsaw I have ever owned. It starts up right away, and is so powerful it will go though a 100 year old cherry tree like butter ! It is solidly built, easy to maintain, very safe, and works the way it supposed to, a rarity in many products today. Dave, the owner, is a very easy going, friendly, and down to earth guy who will go out of his way to give the customer a good deal and give great service after the sale.

Regardless, we stopped by as I'd just picked up a used 930B 6' finish mower near CT and since we were going right by the dealership I stopped in to purchase primer, paint, and most importantly gear box oil and 10 gallons of engine oil. The salesman was very helpful and looked up prices for me, guided me thru the various paint options and placed my growing selection of items in a box. Ultimately, I left with everything I needed except the beautiful brand new TC55 with cab parked prominently in the lot. They unequivocally have superior products and service. Wouldn't go anywhere else for my tractor accessories and lubricants. Pine Plains has been my dealership of choice since I first moved to NY and sought out the best new dealership with which to begin a new relationship.

In fact their only interest seemed to be in getting us to buy a new one. They didn't appear to be at all concerned about our urgency; in fact, they just didn't seem like they cared much. We don't think it's just us -- a neighbor reported almost the same treatment last month. Our next mower/equipment purchased will not come from Goff.

If they don't have what is needed it has always been let me see how we can get the part or with the pandemic they would be able to inform me of the expected delivery time once they know and they told virtually immediately". They have never said no. They have never given me the impression that my business was not extremely important to them. Every single time I have contacted them with a problem they have always bent over backwards to find the correct answer. Their technicians have been brilliant at finding and fixing the very few problems, I have had and coming up with creative answers to unusual problems that I have presented to them. THEY HAVE NEVER SAID NO WE CAN NOT HELP YOU. Champlain is the second KUBOTA dealership I have used. The first one in NH claims to be the largest KUBOTA dealership east of the Mississippi (if you know who that is, MB Tractor) and they can't hold a candle to how Champlain has taken care of me. For me Champlain has always done business the way it should be done and the way it used to be done. I went to them for their expertise and instead they damaged my equipment,covered the part in bubble wrap so I would not see it till I got home and then refused to correct the problem. At one point I called the general manager and he never even called back-a common courtesy-. What saddens me most is I think they just don't know any better.
