We'll make this update brief because there's no need to go on at length about poor service. But our experiences with poor, distracted service here continue. Most recently they took little interest in our somewhat small but important problem with tires for the riding mower we purchased here -- very satisfactorily -- some years back. In fact their only interest seemed to be in getting us to buy a new one. They didn't appear to be at all concerned about our urgency; in fact, they just didn't seem like they cared much. We don't think it's just us -- a neighbor reported almost the same treatment last month. Our next mower/equipment purchased will not come from Goff. read more

The greatest experience. Fast and painless transaction. Everything was done by phone. When the Mower was ready for pickup all I had to do was sign and take my new Zero Turn home. Peter was amazing. I tried to save money on having my John Deere riding mower and my push mower tuned up locally, instead of at Stanton Equipment in Canaan. Big mistake. It ended up costing me over $500 for the two tune ups. The push mower was not even cleaned but worse still, they forgot to secure the oil dipstick and I had a large puddle of oil and multiple other stains on my brand new $8,000 driveway. They immediately sent a very nice service guy over and he cleaned up the mess on my machine, added oil and secured the dipstick - but no compensation was offered for the mess it made of my new asphalt. This year I took it to Thomaston Power Equipment - much cheaper, faster turnaround and no mishaps. read more

Bought a new snowblower, they never even did the pre-set up - just delivered it. Listening to horror stories from friends about either no new purchase pre-set up, wrong parts, over charging for in complete work. Would not recommend this place at all. read more

Well, I did have an issue caused by a miscommunication but after speaking with the owner, Tim, I have realized that I may have overreacted and posted feedback which I am now retracting. I am happy that Tim reached out to me and he feels very strongly about his reputation and loyalty to his customers. While I can't give five stars because that one issue I feel very comfortable giving a strong four stars for making a unfortunate situation right again.
