I was immediately called back, had X rays and was diagnosed with a Radial fracture and was out of there within 90 minutes. This place is super efficient - everyone I encountered was amazing. So much better than going to the ER or urgent care - just to be sent home with a referral to follow up with an orthopedic doc. It's literally one stop shopping! Hopefully, I will not need their services in the future, but I'm so grateful places like these exist.

On the back office side, there were some issues getting my pre-op test paperwork and then finally scheduling surgery, but I find this is typical of most surgeon offices these days. He is passionate, honest, and genuinely friendly. You can tell he really cares about what he does, and it shows. He's also at the top of his field, with patents for orthopedic surgical tools and a technique he developed called the Later Technique. My recovery has gone smoothly, and even my home PT said that Dr. Dungy's patients consistently seem to recover faster than average. They finally ordered an MRI, which showed I had a fractured back. But nobody called to inform me and I had to fight for two days to get the results myself. By the time I did get the results, I'd done far more damage to my back through PT and chiropractic (as evidenced by a second MRI 5 days later) requiring far more extensive surgery than the original MRI called for. (Four days in hospital and 18 weeks so far in recovery care including back brace and PT....more than $10K in out of pocket so far) I filed a complaint with management and asked that they simply credit back the useless MRI cost (which cost me $300 out of pocket) and they refused, saying the MRI was needed. Will NEVER go back to this practice and absolutely do not recommend.

This was a positive experience, given that having to visit an orthopedist is generally because of something negative. In this case, a fracture. Ours was Dr Evans. Seems very young, or maybe I'm just old. The wait was reasonable. I noted others say it was too long, but after visiting the urgent care this office was able to schedule us the next day, and the wait after check-in was not bad. The first thing they did was get a better x-ray than the urgent care, showing the fracture clearly. The situation was explained to us, instructions were given to us, and we have a follow-up in two weeks to check on progress. Thus far we are satisfied. We have since had a follow-up and I will have to dock them a bit for communication. During the follow-up he was distressed at how stiff the joints around the fracture had become. He insisted he told us to move those joints in specific ways, but neither my wife nor I remember him saying that. We were instructed to move it some, but not to the extent he indicated on the follow-up visit. However, we quickly got past this and he relayed more specific instructions. Just while in the office while he was talking to us greater range of motion was demonstrated, so the stiffness wasn't as bad as first thought. Another six weeks or so of healing, however. No physical therapy prescribed, which is good. Some places seem to order it even if it doesn't seem one really needs it. I like doctors who don't order unnecessary procedures.

I know the office deals with a high patent volume, but that doesn't give them the right to have less patent care. They need to be trained on customer service and patent care. They take things to personal when you correct them on mistakes they have caused. Refusing to return calls and helping you handle any issues that you are experiencing. I hope Dr. Patterson doesn't know how staff treats his patients and if he does he needs to address the problems.

He was right on. The physical therapy has been working well. He spent quite a bit of time with explanations and actually listened to what I had learned with my own research. His staff was great and his nurse gave me her e-maill address as I left. A few days later I got a very nice follow up letter from him with his CELL PHONE NUMBER! When have you ever seen that? I was very impressed.
