The office is very disorganized. I called the clinic multiple times and left voicemails but never received a call back. When I finally spoke to someone, they said they didn't have my information, even though my insurance assigned Dr. Aneet Randhawa as my dentist. I had my insurance fax my info, and while the front desk confirmed they received it, they told me to call back the next day. I'm an 88 years young gentleman who lost his regular dentist 3 years ago. Recently, the crown on my sole remaining bottom tooth(12 year molar) came off. I'm surprised at the wide mix of reviews here. It might help though if reviewers got their locations straight. This is not the Redwood City or Alameda location, it's Union City. I've been going to this location most of my adult life and have been very happy here. In fact, I was going here when it was still owned and operated by Dr. Gray. The current staff is very patient, kind, welcoming, and thorough. I have never experienced anything here that would cause me to leave this dentist. My wife contacted Dr. Randhawa several times and last week I called to her office in union city, and I spoke to front desk, and I kindly asked to refund our money, and I waited 1 week to respond, but nobody contacted us, So I have to file a complaint against this business, and we want our money back whatsoever. whoever wants to do any kind of treatment specially Invisalign or braces, please don't waste your time and money. I went to Dr Randhawa to have my teeth cleaned and she said I had two fillings that needed attention immediately and I should make an appointment right away. When I was about to make the appointment she found out that I have Delta Dental insurance and said they needed to send in a request to get approval from them before doing anything. That was in mid July. I called back several times to ask if they heard back from the insurance company and they said it usually take over a month to get a response. I waited two months to follow up again and they still insist that they did not hear back yet. I decided to call Delta Dental directly and they told me they never received any request from the dental office. I called back the office to let them know and they keep telling me that Delta Dental is not telling me the truth! At the end of September they finally sent in the request and got the authorization right away. I even got a paper copy confirmation but when I told the dental office about it they insisted that they didn't get it. I emailed them copies of the authorization and they never responded. I then followed up with several calls for the next two months and still get the run around and will not make an appointment for me to go in to get my fillings done. It is now end of November and I have been calling them at least twice a week to follow up but they kept brushing me off and promised to talk with the dentist and get back to me but NEVER did! This is very frustrating and disappointing and VERY unprofessional on their part. I noticed there are various reviews mentioning similar issues with this dental office. I would like to warn any future patients to beware of such unpleasant behavior and unprofessional treatment by this dental office. It is not worth the time and effort to have to go through such agony! Today when I called they changed their tune and said that my fillings does not need any work and they will not accept me as their patient! Why did she insist on treating me in the first place? Worst experience I have ever had. I walked in and the receptionist was crying hysterically. Nobody seemed to care. I brought her tissues. The dental assistant started X-rays without ever introducing herself or saying hello. She was quick, abrupt and sort of cleaned my teeth. The dentist Mrs Randwaha walked up, never introduced herself or asked me a single question. She put tools in my mouth and started telling me that she didn't know what to do because I have gum recession and would need a specialist. I said, ok, can you give me some referrals. She said "oh I have no idea who can help you. That's not what I do. You'll have to google it or ask a friend". I told her she was scaring me and I wasn't sure what to do. She responded with "I have 35 years of experience" I got up to leave feeling quite confused and embarrassed and thanked her. She handed me a post it that said "periodontist" and said have a good day. I left without a referral or knowing what to do, other than start looking for a new dentist. Avoid this place. Unethical, unhelpful and incredibly rude. read more

Cant say I was happy at all. As a matter of fact, I was REALLY disappointed... Started with my gums bleeding badly, so I called in the morning and got an appointment in one hour... Went in, and was told to immediately to go to St Rose hospital ER by the dentist because the bleeding was really bad and they said it was NOT tooth or gum related, she said there is NOTHING we can do for you. I stated "this is not gum or tooth related? are you sure? i dont want to go waste a whole bunch of money going to the ER" They said "ABSOLUTELY NOT TOOTH OR GUM RELATED"... So, I go and stayed for 8 hours before I was seen. The doctor said "why did you come here? we are not a dentist".. GREAT, $750+ down the freaking hole. Really great Randhawa Dental, appreciate that bill... Went to another dentist the next day and got fixed up NO PROBLEM. They kept asking WHY Randhawa told me to go to the ER... So I have been going here for awhile now and I was shocked to find that they had not been reviewed yet on Yelp. It is hard to find a good dental office in this area since there are so many, but this one really does stand out from the rest. Everyone here is very knowledgeable and friendly, they try to get you an appointment at the best time possible for you, it is in a convenient location, and the treatment there is the best. The environment is very nice and clean and they do accept my insurance (Delta). Although getting a deep cleaning really does suck, they made it as comfortable as possible for me and if I had to do it again I would go here for sure. Fillings and cleanings are very fast and they are done with top notch quality. I believe that they also have offices in Union City and Alameda but I am not sure. They would be worth checking out though if you are in those areas, and if you are in Fremont ditch your current dentist and come here. read more

I'm usually not the fan of going to the Dentist, but everyone at this office gets to know you personally. In addition, all the dentists cater to everyone's needs. I've had issues with the previous dentist I went to (which I won't mention here) where I'd had to get the same filling done 3 times before it stopped falling out!! Came to this dentist and another filling needed, and was quickly done without another visit needed to re-fill :D Since then, I've had a deep cleaning and regular cleanings and my gums haven't felt this good in a long time. I've been going to Randhawa Dental for the last four years and they are the best! They were voted best cosmetic dental office in the bay area on KRON4's Best of the Bay and they asked me to be in their commercial. (They don't pick paid actors for those commercials!) They won because they truly are the best! Dr. Rhandawa completely transformed my smile and helped me exude the confidence I had always wanted. The girls in the front, along with his wife Dr. Aneet, are the sweetest and I always love to see their smiling faces when I come in for a visit. Mimi is also the best dental hygienist I've ever had! Yikes! This place went downhill quickly. My husband and I have been contacted several times since the COVID outbreak to reschedule our appointments that were scheduled when the office was closed. Even though we keep telling them we're not comfortable coming in due to the pandemic, they continue to contact my husband. The last straw was when my husband received a call from Mrs. Randhawa at 7 pm this evening. Mind you the office had already contacted him earlier in the day to see if he wanted to reschedule. She called, I picked up his phone since he already knew who was calling, and I politely told her that he didn't wish to reschedule. She got super defensive and was telling me that she was calling just to see how he was doing. Umm. She then hung up on me. I called her back and she continued to argue with me. Everytime I brush my teeth and look in the mirror and smile... my teeth go Bling Bling!! =) On a very serious note! My smile has been a long journey more than just in and out comestic work. I've been around the block with regard to Ortho pratices from doctors' teachings at UCLA to USC. Options from headgear, to rubberbands, 6+ years of treatment and jaw surgery to top it off. C'mon... I would have to say, my self-esteem was beaten and dragged through the streets. I admit my teeth were not pretty but I know it's atleast human like. After moving to the Bay Area, I found Dr. Randhawa and saw his creditals and his product line up. I decided to see if I could get my 5th consultation on my two years of research. It was important to me now more than ever as I was starting a new job in insurance sales. Dr. Randhawa was very honest about my options and made sure what things concerned him and may need further attention to get the results that we were aiming for. He let me know Invisalign was a opinion as well but it would take longer with no surgery needed. I had tunnel vision at this point and I believe I heard an angel sing but yes I was ecstatic! He let me know I needed a commitment to the whole treatment, coming in every two weeks and even tooth removal. His confidence and patience really made things easier to decide to move forward. The Staff... I would like to give a shout out to all the ladies there, you know who you are!!! =) They sure make a visit to a dental office becomes a small trip to see family. Trust me, it's either the dentist or staff that can be a deal breaker in coming back but the GREAT NEWS here is that you get the whole shebang of customer service. I have done my Insisalign with Dr. Randhawa about 3 years ago. I decided to follow his suggestion with this expensive procedure since he actually said this should precede any of my other dental treatment procedures. It turned out that the Invisalign is less satisfactory than expected. I mean, less than the expected result image he showed me when making the assessment. The doctor apparently acknowledged that too. Beware Dr. Randhawa may seem to look like a very good dentist, but NO! It's all just a show. All he cares about is his money. I went for a consultation for braces. At first I really wanted to get braces since my auntie is a dentist as well and she told me that for faster results braces is better. So I got there the girls in the front greeted me and then went back to their own business. As I was seating at the lobby the girls started talking and laughing obnoxiously omg it was so loud and very scandalous! I felt terrible that I even brought my son with me that time. The gossiping I guess was about another patient that didn't wanna accept the treatment for Invisalign and they started judging, hating, making assumptions negatively. I should've recorded all the bad mouthing they did, they were really on it ganging up and talking very unprofessionally and yet they were well aware a patient could hear them. Such a shame! Then it was my turn, I was called by this nice young asian girl who sat me to the chair, offered if I want anything while waiting for my turn to be examined, she was very caring and made sure I'm comfortable as I sat waiting. Then Dr. Randhawa came in, First thing he told me "Have you heard of Invisalign" and said yes I am well aware of it but I prefer getting braces. The worst 15 minutes of my life OMG! He kept insisting that I should get Invisalign instead. So I got sold and got Invisalign, I accepted the treatment and got an Ipad2, he promised that w/in 24 months my teeth will be straight. I am now 28 months and 2 weeks overdue! He said I've made so much progress with extra more time that I need refinement for another 1 more year. Heck no!!! I went to my Auntie just recently to get an exam and regular cleaning out of state because she moved to New York. She told me that I shouldn't have gotten Invisalign because I have mild to severe gum disease and putting aligners will make it even worse! I am very disappointed I am now in regular check-ups and cleanings at a periodontist which is even more expensive to begin with. I went here for an invisalign consultation ..after already walking out of 2 other dental offices BC the price was ridiculously high I was preparing myself for the worse. Especially after I read all the great reviews they have. I'll tell u now yelpers..u can have an excellent orthodontist and affordable prices thanks to Rhashaw dental. Everyone here was very friendly and helpful. They offered me and my son free drinks as we waited and they had some coloring books to keep him entertained. From the time I walked in to the time I walked out EVERYONE was extremely nice. I had a late appointment at 7pm and since I ended up my invisalign moldings done and everything I walked out at 9pm but one of the dental assistants walked out with me to the car since it was late and a really dark area where my car was parked in the back. I go back in Jab to pick up my first tray but I'm extremely happy and excited to start to the process of the new me and my new smile. As I mention this was my 3rd office going to Dr.Rhashaw gave me more information and advice than the other two dentist put together. I definitely recommend this place! Pls do not waste your money at this office. I had my invisalign here n wasted $2,500+. I wish i had went somewhere else. I started with Dr. Randawa (male) but he left the practice so Dr. Randawa (female) continued my invisalign. I had to return 4 times for her to fit me for my refinement aligners. She always made excuses that someone lost them, someone messed up the mold, etc.. Had to leave work early or go to work late just for them to redo the molds. She never even apologize. For my refinement, i specifically asked her to move 1 tooth from the bottom and for 17 refinement tray, my bottom tooth did not move at all. For the final outcome, I told her I was not happy n she said my teeth were not even in size and I should do veneers and She would give me a discount. Seriously!!!! I have just been to the office 3 times so far for the Invisalign treatment. By the 5th week, I already saw some improvement. Unfortunately I got infection from my previous wisdom teeth extraction (by another dentist in NYC), so I have to stop the Invisalign treatment for a little bit. I have had good experiences with this office. I have seen several of the dentists here and they have all done a good job. I recently had 2 front crowns replaced, and the new ones are a big improvement. The dentist suggested a slightly smaller profile that improved my smile. The office has done a great job collecting on my insurance too. I have only had a few visits but will be a regular patient. I have been dr. Randhawa's patient for more then 8 years. I was felt like being in good hands.There was done quite a bit of work on my teeth. My silver fillings disappeared, I got few crowns. Mimi, my best dental hygienist, takes incredibly detail care of me, even I admit that I do not floss every day (but I am getting there), Nazo in frond desk has always nice smile. Maria sends me friendly reminders so I do not miss my appointments. My dentist dr. Shen takes time to explain me my options and the procedure. He makes sure I am comfortable and free of pain. Getting root canal was stress free experience. The only problem was that I was falling asleep and closing mouth, while dentist was trying to do his job. I just was so relaxed! So this is how the experience begins I come into the office and I stand around for 25 minutes well they do whatever it is they pretend to do with my paperwork then 30 minutes after she decides to tell me all I called you don't have insurance basically I don't know what she meant by that but it made me feel like you should just leave I said no here's my card and then she went and grabbed the card and then picked up the phone and called then my appointment continued or I was brought back for x-rays which the technician messed up and had to redo four different times that I went and sat in the chair for an hour for no reason then finally a dentist showed up and told me she needs to look at my mouth she found whatever she found then they came back with a bill 20 minutes later saying did you want to do this stuff or not in other words the appointment was over if I didn't want to do anything pay extra and if I wanted to pay extra the appointment would continue so I explained to them I'm here I just got dental insurance I like that my teeth teeth clean and cavities check the need overall tune up on my teeth explain that a broken tooth and was in Major Payne so the doctor tells me all these sweet things don't worry I'm going to get you a night guard I'm going to get you a round of antibiotics and pain medicine and a referral for a tooth extraction all this nice stuff I guess basically that was all the b******* she was telling me to get me to spend 200 measly bucks that she wanted which is nothing so she got it two hundred bucks I walked out of there with no prescriptions a referral for a tooth extraction which is needs an appointment with will take two to three weeks I called back the next day to explain that my bite is all messed up where they grounded to the feelings and feels hollow now and like three quarters of my mouth has a full-contact bite but the area she drilled and Doug now no longer touches so I have when I bite down half my mouth doesn't close or touch exactly on the left side so I called to complain I called to get my prescriptions I called to get my night guard I've got no phone calls back and no one does nothing this office is probably garbage and you should not go here I would not recommend this experience to anyone read more

What does one do who experiences a filling falling out of one of a tooth? Far from home, no dental insurance is elderly and her SS doesn't allow for unexpected expenses of a new filling? I explored "Yelp". Some phone calls were disheartening - "No dental insurance? That's a problem!" "No dental insurance means higher costs; no discounts!" Then I happened upon Randhawa Dental Office in Union City. I explained my predicament. Was told the probable cost of replacing the filling, but was encouraged to visit the office, perhaps a "temporary filling" might work (less expensive); they would make an assessment. The young woman on the phone gave me hope. and an appointment for the following morning! The folks at this dental office - are incredibly kind, understanding and helpful. They took care of me in no time, showed me what they offer "new patients" and had a discount for Senior citizens. I was able to pay the fee (without robbing a bank) and went away with a new filling - performed in their spotlessly clean, modern office by the most caring doctor I have ever met! "How do you feel?" "Are you doing okay?" were questions she frequently asked me making sure I was comfortable! What more could the folks at Randhawa have done to make my day? If you're a college student trying to get a pair of cheap and reliable retainers, look elsewhere! I wanted a new pair of retainers so I made an appointment and got my impressions taken. The woman who did it didnt seem like she knew what she was doing. I had a gut instinct that I should say something but I didn't because Randhawa has posters all over there office claiming to be one of the top dentist offices in the country. A week passed and I got no call regarding my retainers. I called the office but, they said they couldnt find me in the system. By this point I was fuming because I had already paid $170 for the retainers. I got a call an hour later and we booked an appointment for the next day. I drive all the way from SJ to UC just to find out that the bottom retainer won't fit!!!!!!! I'm leaving to San diego for school tomorrow and they just put more stress in my life then I need. After demanding a refund (which they had the nerve to try not to give me) I got my money and left. Point being- save your time and go somewhere else! read more

Went through Randhawa Dental to get my wisdom teeth pulled and I was 100% satisfied. They are professional, amiable, and will work with you to get your needs fulfilled. The insurance information was covered and explained to me by the lovely Tracy (I'm pretty sure that was her name). The wisdom teeth (all 4) extraction, which was done at their office at 3805 Beacon in Fremont, went very smoothly and I had no complications at all. The preparation, surgery, and post-surgery was flawless and I was thoroughly satisfied. I was recommended to them by a coworker who also gave them praise for their great work and customer service; I will follow suit and recommend them to anybody who needs a dentist or an oral surgery procedure. . .AND the ladies who work the front desk at the Union City office are very friendly and a sight for sore eyes :-) which makes going to the dentist a little more enjoyable! read more
