I have been on the hunt for sonny angel hippers and was elated to find them here yesterday! They are behind the counter at check out for $20/each, limit 4 per person. I originally decided to just buy two and we opened the blind boxes in the car. I was hoping to get a pink one, however, unfortunately did not hit. Now, it is 6 min before closing and we figured, what the heck? Why not go back to get two more hahaha. So, we rushed back into the mall (special thanks to the workers for letting us pick up two more, last min before close!) and bought two more. Anyways, I ended up getting one pink one and a blue mouse this time around! Total for 4 was ~$84. I love what I ended up getting though! Definitely a sucker for blind boxes from time to time, but it's so fun ;)

The store employees are attentive if you need help, they folks i used to know there have since moved on but looks like the store is run well still!

Oh my goodness, cheap thrills music, where do I even begin. One day I was in this wonderful store,…read moreand I was browsing through the delightful CD selection, when my eyes locked onto a beautiful sight; Crackwhore - Somebody Loves You. This CD is truly a blessing from the heavens and delivered to us via the prophet Robert. This is both the greatest album in history, and the greatest album of today. This is what happens when you search through a vault of precious 24 karat gold, and still manage to leave with the highest quality platinum. This CD ruined all other albums for me, nothing else even holds a candle. The beautiful singing, the masterful guitar work, the majestic drumming, God I can't even accurately describe how exquisite it is. I immediately wished to purchase this masterpiece, but as this work of art was so coveted, as at the time there was zero information easily findable on the internet, the store owner and I reached an agreement. We would do research on how much the CD originally sold for and I would later return to this treasure trove to agree on a price. 1 week later I made my return, and after discovering that it originally sold for an affordable 5 U.S dollars, the prophet Robert, in all of his wondrous generosity, let me have it for 10. That is the story of how I obtained the pinnacle of human expression in music form on one, inexpensive, incredible CD. Thank you for reading this section of feedback, and please consider visiting this establishment, as I can guarantee that you will leave a happy patron with the greatest music one could ever hear, except of course, for Crackwhore, as only I am lucky enough to have a copy of humanity's magnum opus.

When I happened upon the Barnes & Noble at Derby St Shops, I came to realize that I had somehow been mentally convinced that there were no more open locations. So this was a pleasant surprise! I have a kindle but went to Barnes and Noble for a book for a gift and was also shopping around. The person in the middle that helps you look up books was very helpful. However that's where it ended. We went to the cafe and I know it's Starbucks not Barnes and Noble but the people working there were very rude to us. They gave us moldy food we had to return no apology. Then when we went to check out at Barnes and Noble we couldn't remember the number for our rewards and the woman checking us out said snarkily "oh now we are onto the 3rd number" then when we went to give the other number she goes "wait a minute wait a minute" like yelling at us.....safe to say we will stick to our kindles and go elsewhere for gifts which sucks! But like I said if anyone is wondering why places are closing it's customer service related!

The man is generally pretty agreeable (not that easy with so much experience in retail!) and taking the time to talk to Skippy is well worth it--- he's a fount of information, and can remember label and release information far better than you could imagine. And he LOVES to talk food. If you spend enough time in the shop, you'll realize that it has a strong community aspect to it; regulars are popping in all the time and Skippy's ties to Boston's African-American community are substantial. He also does a weekly radio show called the Time Tunnel. Oh yeah, the music. A great spot for records, though they are very slowly getting into order. This is a great place for soul and blues oldies, as if Skippy doesn't have it on CD, he'll order it for you. He also sells a lot of gospel and modern Southern soul, and stocks some jazz. I recommend it more for CDs unless you like to dig a lot. But the counter is often the place to be, as Skippy can usually tell you if he's got what you're looking for.

Very distinct collection of records, mostly "black" music, a lot of soul, funk, motown, disco, hip hop records. There doesn't seem to be much of anything else, but to a lot of diggers, this can be a goldmine if that's what you like. The man, Skippy, is a gentleman, and he knows his stuff. He was willing to work with me on the price, which was very fair. I bought a stack of about 15-20 records for around $60. He's got lots of unique and some rare 45's of old soul music. I really enjoyed it.
