Based on photos alone, he corrected me that the wood was not mahogany (as our home inspector said) but instead Brazilian cherry. I verified that he was correct with the listing agent. No other company did this. Second, he had the lowest quoted price for the job. Third, after I selected him, he was transparent about tradeoffs rather than purely trying to upsell me. For example, he quoted me on installing wood registers everywhere when I asked, but recommended I do so only in the hallways. This advice saved me $1k and delivered a result in very happy with.
