On our way home from the tile store we popped into the Ultimate Bath and had the good fortune to meet up with April. This is our first bathroom remodel and it's fair to say that we were more than a little overwhelmed by all of the choices available. Thankfully, April is an old pro and understands the options inside and out. We booked an appointment with her for later in the week and within a couple of hours the decisions were made and we left with great confidence in the items we chose. One of the things we really appreciated was that the Ultimate Bath has a wet wall where they can demonstrate a broad range of fixed and hand held shower heads. There is no question that really simplified the process for us. This is a lovely, new showroom with a large selection of bath and kitchen items. I have been searching for a showroom that featured the Kohler toilet bidet combination. I was delighted that this toilet is actually in their public rest room and able to assess its features. The sales person/designer was very knowledgeable and helpful. There is a wet wall where you can actually sample different components (so helpful in selecting shower heads and faucets). The quote for the various pieces arrived in an email that evening. I would highly recommend Karen and this showroom to anyone undertaking a bath or kitchen remodeling project. read more

This is a brand new bath showroom in Westborough Massachusetts. I recently attempted to buy a shower door from this store and was very dissatisfied with the experience. I went to the showroom to purchase a glass shower door enclosure for my walk in stall shower. I have a standard size large stall shower - 59 inches wide. It's new construction so should be an easy installation. I was helped by Karen in the showroom. I originally inquired about Kohler bypass sliding doors because their website said there was a Kohler promotion going on. I was told that in fact they don't sell or install Kohler shower doors. That seemed strange since the webpage specifically promotes Kohler products and said there was a sale going on, but I forged ahead because the showroom has beautiful showers on display. I then picked out an expensive Roda Rollaire shower door, and was quoted a price of $2000 including installation by Karen. I made it crystal clear in my conversations with Karen at the showroom that I did not want a custom shower door. She assured me that the standard size would fit just fine. The installation people came to my home and measured my shower. I then followed up with Karen to get the final price. When I finally got in touch with her after several tries, she told me that I needed a custom installation and custom shower door and that it would cost $3000. This is $1000 more than the price I was quoted in the showroom. This is when the phrase "Bait and switch" came to mind - first in promoting Kohler which is less costly, but not in fact selling Kohler, and then second in quoting me $2000 for a standard size door, and then coming back and saying I needed a $3000 custom door. Total bait & switch. I then asked Karen if she could please contact the installer and ask why I required a custom size glass. She mentioned I needed a custom higher height for the door. This makes no sense, since the shower curtain is currently hung at 71 inches at present and it works fine, so the standard height would be fine. Karen promised to contact the installer and ask why I needed a custom door. She promised to get back to me with the answer. I never heard from Karen again. Obviously, since I did not fall for the bait & switch and order a $3000 custom door, the store was no longer interested in having me as a customer. I went to a different store, and ordered a very nice bypass sliding door, which cost me about $1800 with installation, which is just fine. Even if it was true that the Rollaire door would not work, I should have been offered other less expensive options, such as bypass doors which have more forgiving installations. Obviously, this store only wanted my business if I ordered their $3000 custom door. The store was not exactly filled with customers when I was there so I am surprised they did not want my business. I sent an email to the manager, April, with my concerns and she did not answer it. I had hoped she would try to reach out and explain what happened, and try to save the sale. But she did not, which says it all. After not hearing from either Karen the salesperson again, or April, the manager, I decided this scam store needed a Yelp review so other customers could be forewarned. read more

I am in the process of doing major renovations in two bathrooms. I am so confused and didn't know what features I should look for. This afternoon I visited the Ultimate Bath Store in Westborough (the best and most attractive bathroom supply showroom I have seen) and received outstanding service and information from the sales associate (very sorry I cannot remember her name). She was so patient with me and helped me to make a decision on a vanity/vanity top as well as plumbing fixtures. She answered all my questions and explained in depth about the various shower systems. I had mentioned I would also like to see other faucets for the guest bathroom, in addition to those displayed in the Westborough showroom, and she referred me to the Worcester showroom. She printed out the driving directions for me since my GPS doesn't work well, in addition to giving me brochures and a detailed description printout of the items I am very interested in purchasing. Amanda at the Ultimate Bath Store in Worcester greeted me very warmly and also provided outstanding service and information and is extremely knowledgable about bath products. She explained about bathtubs and bathtub wall panels available for my limited space, and gave me a few samples of the Tere-Stone wall panel material and its brochure. She went out her way and printed out the specification information sheets for me on a few tubs to help me make my decision. I realized it was after 5pm (which time the store should be closing), but she continued to answer any questions I had regarding the bathtub, and with a friendly smile. She said it didn't matter what time it was, and I was so impressed by her concern to help a customer. All lights in the store remained on which is also nice for the customer--I did not feel rushed. She also mentioned they offer a generous discount to all customers, which are a great plus. Because of the wonderful service I received from both stores, I will definitely buy all my bathroom needs from The Ultimate Bath Store and will highly recommend this company to friends and family. read more
