My experience at this dentist is a unique one. When I first walked in the office it felt like a home, comfortable and cosy. Once my name was called in, I was led into the main area where I was greeted by every doctor and nurse in the hallway. They first gave me a tour of their office and even though it was small, it was clean. I met Dr. Melisa first, a lovely women who took care of having my teeth cleaned and x-rayed. We had a great chat and she took great care of my pain management. The next day, I went back to meet with Dr. Rosales. As I went in having cosmetic issues in mind, speaking with Dr. Rosales felt like I was speaking with my own personal life coach. Unlike the other dentists that I've been to, we spoke about my values as what I want to achieve and his values in how he would like to help his patients. I have been terrified of the dentist my entire life, I deal with EXTREME anxiety, so even setting an appointment and getting through the door is a huge hurdle for me. I had only had my teeth cleaned once in about 15 years and needed a full mouth reconstruction (every single tooth!). At 38 years old I had to come to terms with probably being embarrassed and having bad teeth for the rest of my life because other dentists literally told me they couldn't help me, and the ones who "thought" they could actually did more damage then good. From the very first meeting with Dr Rosales I have felt cared for, and felt extremely comfortable with the entire process of getting me back to perfect health. When I saw Dr. Rosales, he explained and showed me pictures of my enamel being wasted because my teeth were not aligned. After nine months of clear correct, everything is aligned. Well, I was thinking for several years that even though I loved my dentist as a person and loved his staff, I didn't feel that I was likely getting the best dental advise and work. I felt that he was maybe "behind the times". Looking for a new dentist is very difficult and I put it off for way too long. You really need to know somebody who can give you a good referral. I resorted to my community page on Facebook and asked for referrals. I went to a dentist I found on that page, that didn't go so well. So then when I was at my chiropractor's office, his dentist came in to get adjusted and he introduced us and highly recommended him. So I made an appointment. It was a bit of a hassle to get the prior dentist I went to (referred on the community page) to send over all of my initial exam records to Dr. Fotinos' office, but they eventually sent it. Then we were able to see what was really going on and come up with a plan. Dr. Fotinos now had all my initial exam records and took additional pictures of all my teeth so that I could actually see them and understand the work that I need. He gave me the overall picture of what is needed for me to get all of my teeth into a healthy condition rather than waiting until I needed much more complicated and expensive work. I have some cracked old silver fillings (which I could see in the pictures) that should really be replaced before they become a bigger problem and need root canals and crowns. I have a couple of root canals that need retreats that an endodontist (also referred by my chiropractor) made me aware of along with a crown that needs to be replaced. Neither of the prior dentists even discussed any of this, no wonder I was always at the point of needing root canals rather than taking care of the teeth before letting them get to that point. For the first time in years I feel that my dentist is actually looking at my teeth and making the appropriate recommendations to help me avoid future expensive work. I feel that he is honest and truly cares about the condition of my teeth. After we get this work done I should be able to just get my cleanings and exams and not need much further work because we are being proactive in taking care of them now. I always made sure to go to the dentist and thought I was taking good care of my teeth. But that gut feeling of thinking the dentist was not doing a thorough job was accurate. The staff at Dr. Fotinos' office is also very welcoming, kind and friendly. THAT is a HUGE part of going to the dentist and you want to feel comfortable and that you are getting great service from everyone. The office is clean and cute, the front desk was friendly and efficient, the cleaning was thorough and painless, and the doctor's exam was detailed and caring. Complete game changer!! My mouth was in pretty bad shape before I started coming to this office. My gums needed treatment, I had an un-finished root canal (or 2) and I was missing a number of teeth on both sides of my upper mouth. The staff explained the various options I had and the pros/cons for each option. I had gotten into the habit of not smiling because I was soo ashamed of the way my teeth looked. And when I laughed, I would put my hand over my mouth so people would not see my teeth. But now, WHAT A DIFFERENCE! They helped get my teeth and gums healthy again. Then they were able to give me permanent bridges on both sides of my upper mouth. Finally....there were beautiful teeth where before there was nothing but unattractive gaps. My friends and family have noticed how I smile more (and no more hands covering my mouth). For years I had put off having my wisdom teeth removed because of a bad experience with another dentist. Long story short I decided to look for another dentist because I developed an infection around one of my impacted wisdom teeth. My first visit was with Dr. Randy Rosales. He explained what was happening and came up with a plan to take care of my situation. He even gave me his personal cell number in case I needed to ask him any questions over the Christmas break, which I did. He answered my call and took care of me with a call to my pharmacy. A couple weeks later I came up on my dreaded appointment to have three wisdom teeth extracted, (two of which were impacted). My arrival time was 7:30AM and by 8:32AM I was back in my vehicle on my way home. The actual extraction portion took less than 20 minutes for all 3 molars. It required sutures. There was very little discomfort during the procedure and almost no pain after the local anesthesia had worn off. I took ibuprofen the first day and took it easy, the next morning I was back to my normal day with absolutely no discomfort. I was out watering in the garden the following afternoon when I received a call on my cell phone from Dr. Rosales. He was checking in on me to ask me how I was recovering. So glad I made the switch. Everyone at the office was very attentive and hospitable. They have special procedures in place for COVID 19 and the entire staff does a fantastic job of explaining everything from treatment procedures to insurance coverage. This review has been way over due, but I can't tell you how great Dr. Fotinos and his entire staff are. They are so amazing and kind. They always care about your needs and give you the best service that a dental team can give. I had a accident on a Thursday night and chipped my front top tooth and was worried I was going to have to go through the weekend like that. So Friday morning I called them and they were able to get me in within the first hour and since they were completely booked for the day, they had me come back towards the end of the day to do treatment and fix my tooth. I was so worried that my front two teeth would not look the same and after he completed treatment I was so shocked with how well it turned out. I am beyond happy with the results.
