I have been going to Fresh Smiles dental office for years, and I can confidently say I would not use any other dental office. My favorite dental hygienist , Amy, is amazing. She patiently explains in detail how to properly care for my teeth and always takes the time to answer all of my questions. She works diligently and is incredibly gentle during my teeth cleaning, which makes every visit comfortable and stress-free. Because of her professionalism, care, and consistency, I can trust her totally for my teeth cleaning. The dental office itself is always well lit and very clean. I am greeted with warm smiles from the front desk staff every time I visit. Also, their customer service is exceptional. Recently, when I needed to retrieve couple years of HSA out-of-pocket receipts, the front desk handled everything excellently. They organized, highlighted, and classified all the payments in detail, making the process incredibly easy for me. Tihis dental office consistently goes above in dental care and customer service. I had such a great experience here that I actually felt like writing a review right after my visit. From the moment I walked in, I noticed how bright and spacious everything felt. The decor and background music gave off more of a chill coffee shop vibe rather than a typical dental office, which immediately made me feel relaxed. One thing I really appreciated was how efficient everything was. They did the X-rays right in the same room while I was lying comfortably on the bed, instead of having me move from room to room like in most traditional clinics. After the X-rays, Dr. Sam came in right away and walked me through my dental health based on the images. Dr. Sam was incredibly patient and took the time to explain my dental health in a very clear and thoughtful way. I never felt rushed or pressured into anything, it felt like the recommendations were genuinely made from a patient-first perspective, not sales-driven at all. The hygienist was also amazing, she is gentle, professional, and attentive. She kept checking in with me throughout the cleaning to make sure I was comfortable, which I really appreciated. They even had a blanket and pillow available, which was such a small but thoughtful touch that made a big difference. On top of that, the entire staff was friendly and welcoming. fresh dental is definitely a diamond in the rough. i couldn't be happier to find such a great dental clinic in Santa Ana ! the appointment process is easy, little to no wait times, and the dentist himself Dr. Sam is such a great and honest doctor who is skillful in what he does. This took me months to do because I was left in pain and couldn't get into another dentist for that time. First off if you have dentist anxiety from child dental trauma or need someone patient to deal with you, have sensitive teeth/gums don't bother coming here. The doctor will only make you feel more uncomfortable. Now was coming here for a few years and through it had some doubts but stuck with it. It's hard to find a dentist and one close to home. The place is new, clean and the front office girl always nice. If it's just cleanings and no issues it was working out too. But In December I had an old filling come out. I came in to have it fixed. It was between the teeth and food was getting stuck down hitting the gums, was painful and I was flossing non stop irritating the area more. Was told probably would need a crown, gum work but he'd try to fill it. Did the gel stuff but didn't fully numb me, put that metal thing around my tooth, and kinda just filed it down and put more filling, I as well had a snag on a filling on the other side so he filed it down.... Paid over $100 and my insurance billed more and I went home, next day they fell off and my gums were so agitated from the work and not being properly numb I ended up on the weekend at walk in urgent care and put on antibiotics for 10 days. It was holidays and I hung in there after antibiotics and was soon in for my routine cleaning and the hygienist girl nice and thorough but continued to keep on me about my retainer wire and how I should have cleanings every 3 months. I take good care of my teeth and it's a small wire. Not hard for them to clean around. Not paying outta pocket for extra cleanings not needed. When the doctor came over, I mentioned what had happened and he basically just looked at me and was like well. You know you probably just are gonna need a crown on that side and I don't have an opening for like a month. As usual he's offered a referral for me to go somewhere else and he's done this before. It's like he doesn't wanna work on me or do the work. I just don't get it. I pay the money. There's never a problem. Yes, I'm a little nervous but anyways. Somehow, they're able to accommodate me for 2 1/2 to 3 weeks ... I come in. I've been miserable now for a couple months. He starts to numb me and I just have a weird feeling that the way he's numbing me because I've had a lot of dental work. 15 minutes goes by. He's like you numb? I go no and then he gives me some more and then another 15/20 minutes. You numb? I'm like here but not here. He says well I need this area numb to do the work, You know you might just not be able to get numb some people just don't get numb, um I've never in my life had that problem, nor heard of it. It's like he didn't numb me right because he didn't want to do the work. After 45 minutes in the chair obviously with my anxiety and being half numb in the wrong place I'm basically told he can't do it and talk about having someone make you feel like you're a moron. I mean come on. I got up, got my almost $1000 refund for a crown I never got and still in pain. I was just able to see another dentist. Full X-rays, ct scan for the proper assessment! Bottom line that tooth did not need a crown just a filling. The other side had a massive cavity that needed a filling and because I was failed with incompetent X-rays , viewing and work I now will need a tooth removed and an implant. For someone that has always taken care of their teeth, regular dental visits their whole life this is devastating. Refund me for the crap fillings I paid for and don't bother responding to this I will come right back with more. read more

I think this location is actually wonderful my dentist was kinda and i felt comforted by her concerning my broken tooth. I honestly don't have anything bad to say about this location. My only issue was my inability to afford the crowns required and the cost. I know it's expensive everywere regardless for what i needed and that was my only issue. Fresh Dental has restored my faith in good dentistry practices. In recent years I made the mistake of having HMO dental insurance. I recently made the switch to PPO and my goodness this office felt like the biggest breath of fresh air. Great service, attentive Doctor. HONEST. How many times have you been somewhere they try to sell you on a million things you need. Not here. Only what's medically concerning and necessary for overall dental health. My wife wasn't as lucky and needed Invisalign to fix some issues, so sure, it's costly. But she needed it and based on the advice Dr Sam gave me about my mouth, I know he was being honest with her. I appreciate his genuine nature. He also has a lovely staff. More importantly gentle care, efficient cleanings and procedures so far. Every time I need work done I'll go to a random dentist office but I have a strong feeling that I'm gonna stay with Fresh Dentist. The care they showed me was the best. The female dentist that work on me, man she is the number one Dentist I've ever came across that was super gentle with the tools and she made sure I was ok at all times. She went above and beyond she's the reason why I decided to stay and the reason for this review. She's amazing! I just had my first visit here and it was amazing! I just moved to Orange County last year and was trying to find a good, stable dentist. I went to one in January and was pretty disappointed. While appointments were not easy to make for Dr. Sam, he and his team were so responsible via email and phone. I had already had x-rays taken in January and asked if I still needed to have x-rays taken again. They said they would prefer to have a few extra x-rays, but they would do only the ones that were not done at the last dentist, so I sent over the ones from my last dentist, and they just took a couple more. I think I was supposed to have a copay or something for these but he waived them all for me! Walking into the office, I was super impressed by how cute and clean it looked. These things normally don't matter much to me, but it was just a drastic difference from my last dentist, and I felt like it made the vibe of going to the dentist better. Even though I was just there for a cleaning and had literally no other complaints, Dr. Sam still spent a good 10 minutes talking to me about dental hygiene, making sure I didn't have any questions, the anatomy of teeth and gums and why flossing is important, etc (I felt like he probably went more in depth because I told him I'm in medicine.) The dental hygienest was great too. She was very very thorough (a lack of thoroughness was my biggest gripe with the last dentist) and talked to me the whole time about all of the various ways to keep my teeth healthy. She recommended a couple of different things like different types of floss, a nightguard, how to brush properly, etc. I mean it might have been a little bit TOO much information, but it was appreciated. Overall a great experience! I almost want to not write a review lest more people try to come here and appointments get harder to make! read more

Even if I'm not scared of dental work I haven't been to the dentist for an embarrassing amount of time (I definitely had the means to, but I still neglected), and this is the place that I ended up trying. Very glad I did! Everyone is so informative and pleasant to talk to. I always feel like I'm welcome there! They always explained what they were going to do and was easy to understand. My sad long gap in my dental history brought me some urgent work needed along with financial woes.. but they accept carecredit and reached as far as they possibly could to give clients discounts and make it affordable. Really appreciate Dr. Sam and his team! I've been looking into a new dentist and I'm so happy I found Fresh Dental. I came in for a toothache that I was putting off and found out that I needed a root canal done upon my visit. Dr. Sam was able to alleviate my toothache and referred me to an Endodontist who was pleasant as well. I came back today to get my crown done and it was a smooth/painless process. I want to state that I am the biggest chicken when it comes to any dental work being done but I was well taken care of here and highly recommend them! Here are reasons why: PAINLESS LIDOCAINE INJECTIONS I have always avoided getting shot up with lidocaine before any dental procedure, but I had to this time since it was for one of my molars. To my surprise, it did not even hurt! Dr. Sam has a special technique where he applies pressure with his finger next to your injection site and talked to me to keep me distracted. If you are looking for a painless and gentle dentist, Dr. Sam is definitely your man! NETFLIX There is a TV SCREEN ON THE CEILING!!! Yes, you heard me. You can watch your favorite Netflix shows while lying down getting your dental work done! UP TO DATE TECHNOLOGY Since it is a new office, everything is up to date with the most current technology. I especially love getting text message reminders because I never answer my phone calls. :p Also, I love getting welcomed with a screen that says, "Welcome Dieu!" as I walk into the room. NO WAITING, NO RUSHING, NO OVERLAP He specifically schedules his appointments with ample time, where he can take his time to explain his procedure to. I called this dental office out of desperation on a Saturday morning of 4th of July weekend. Good luck, right? Luckily they were open and the dentist, Dr. Sam, said he could fit me in that morning. I was supposed to go out of state for the holiday but my tooth pain was so bad I wanted to see if I could at least get a diagnosis and if anything could be done to help alleviate the pain. I do not have dental insurance and the out of pocket cost for exam and x-rays was only $79 which I thought was very reasonable. The office was very clean and calming (even smelled good!) and the front office staff girls were efficient and nice. Long story short I was diagnosed as needing a root canal, given a prescription for antibiotics to help alleviate the pain (and instructed to take ibuprofen as needed). I told him I would follow up with my dentist at our destination. Dr. Sam said he would recommend an endodontist do the procedure because of the type of situation I had. I have to say, if I didn't already love my regular dentist (who doesn't keep weekend hours), I would use Dr. Sam as my dentist. I will keep him in mind if I ever need to switch and highly recommend him and his office - especially for a Saturday or emergency appointment! read more

The staff was very kind. The office is nice, clean, organized and modern. I had a very pleasant experience and the TV screen (Netflix) on the ceiling helped me relax. I also got free samples (toothpaste, toothbrush and two type of floss). I already had a cleanup and will go back to replace some fillings. UPDATE: I ended having to get a crown and I'm so happy with it. It looks perfect, I bet no one could ever tell it's not my tooth! I had problem with that tooth for years. I got some work done in another office on the same tooth and there was too much space between my teeth and that caused my gums to be sensitive and painful (because of food getting stuck). read more

Like many others I have a strong aversion to visiting the dentist. Probably because I've had a long history of sub-par dentists. But Sam and his staff have completely flipped my perspective. The staff is kind and friendly. They follow all precautions regarding Covid so I feel safe. Sam's bedside manner is excellent and they really helped me out when scheduling services around my schedule. But best of all they have TV'S MOUNTED ON THE CEILING. I've watched almost all of the Queen's Gambit on Netflix during my cleanings and fillings. I'm happy to have found a Dentistry near by that I don't dread visiting. As a former Dental Assistant I know the in's and out's of a dental office so when looking into a dental office that I would go to myself I tend to look for offices that are clean with a friendly staff and an attentive Dr. and that's exactly what you get at Fresh Dental. Dr. Sam was very thorough in explaining what I needed step by step. He was showing me everything through the big screen so I was able to follow along with what he was telling me. He took the time to answer all the questions I had. I've never had an experience where the doctor really took the time to fully go over my concerns and questions without booking other appointments or rushing me out the door. He made me feel very comfortable. Even better he took care of my cavities with NO PAIN!! The cleaning I got from Christine (hygienist) was superb. I walked out with super clean and polished teeth. She takes her time and is very thorough at what she believes you should focus on at home and is a perfectionist at what she does. I won't get my teeth cleaned by anyone else now. The front office staff are friendly and professional and make the appointment process quick and easy. They really focus on getting you in and out and especially during recent COVID events they are sympathetic and are following all guidelines to make you feel safe and comfortable while visiting the office. read more

This review is long overdue. Now that I have sometime to write an official review for Dr Sam and his staff. Long story short, I came into his office on a Thursday evening at 9pm right after work. I had an extremely painful toothache whi h resulted in having to getting an emergency tooth extraction that same evening. I didnt get out of the chair until 12am (they close at 11pm, sorry guys) but I had an outwardly good experience as Dr Sam and his staff made sure I was comfortable and didn't experience "too much pain" during the process. I must say that Dr Sam is a trooper for taking his sweet ass time removing my tooth. His staff were also very patient with me and held my hands during the entire process. I healed very well a few weeks later and we had discussed about either having a bridge or implant. I kept going back and forth with my decisions, but for the temporary replacement, I have a fake toof that looks real asf and it fits comfortably. I would highly recommend seeing Dr Sam and visiting his beautiful office!!!!!!!! read more

This place is so FRESH! Loved walking into an atmosphere with lots of space and very modern and welcoming, it actually made me quite excited for my dental visit. I came in with a broken tooth without an appointment and from the very beginning the staff was kind and welcoming. They were so accommodating and took me in as a walk In, paperwork was super simple to fill out. The office was clean and decorated beautifully.
