After other dealers let me down, I finally got my Ecosport here. I saw they had it in stock, so I went to see. They didn't BS me or try to sell me something else. My salesman (Wade) was there for me every step of the way, as were the others. They had the car ready the next day and thoroughly explained everything and didn't try to upsell me a bunch of junk that I didn't need or argue/hard sell me when i declined. In all, two days. In the last four years my van is been in there for two years six times they picked it up and never even made it home sales write up people are awesome. The service department is absolute garbage. I had a temperature sensor pop out of the exhaust. They replaced it for $500 and then two weeks later it popped out again this time they actually fix the problem. Did they return the $500 no there's so much more I can't even tell you about it. Do not take your vehicle there for service. I'm giving him one star only because I have to to post this. I thought they could only not fix big jobs but they could not do an all change without re-setting my TPS switch even though it went back in for service. I have spent over $20,000 this year there I will never , go back there again please if you value your life do not have service done there. Everyone I talked to was helpful and kind. That should be normal in business, but I find that it is not oddly enough. My nephew worked with Adam and Bryce who were wonderful, both very knowledgeable and helpful. My biggest worry was finding a dependable car. We found a great car and very reasonably priced. I bought my first car from a dealership less than a year ago, new used. In less than a year I need a $2500 repair on a car the dealership sold me in "perfect condition". I had to go to another dealership to have the repair done because Randy wise couldn't help. The Buick dealership I took my car to for repair explained that the part that went out should've lasted me another 35k miles. The Buick dealership let me know that the part needing to be replaced was under warranty and that they'd see what they could do about the bill. Randy wise solution was for me to trade in my car. My car when I bought it was worth 20k, last I was notified the car had depreciated to 10k-12k. Which didn't rub me right at all. I don't feel this business has their customers best interest in mind, and I do feel that they are out for their own wallet. I will not be returning to this dealership, and anyone that mentions going there I will try to deter them from doing so. read more

Took my vehicle in for A/C service, it was blowing hot air. RW charged me $120 to diagnose the problem, told me it was an evaporator core and they estimated $2200 (!!) and 2 days to repair. I said "Hell NO, for a 2004 SUV that was probably 40% of the value of the vehicle and took it elsewhere. An HONEST repair shop in Oxford diagnosed it simply as a bad Shrader valve and repaired it for $175 and it was done in 3 hours! I will NEVER take a vehicle there for service again. And from what I see of their new vehicle pricing, they suck equally bad. I was interested in an Explorer ST (hipo V6 top of the line model). RW had one for $68,000! The HIGHEST price I could find on EBAY motors was $56K for a new vehicle. I guess they think because they are the only new car dealer in Podunk Ortonville they can rip off the yokels and get away with it because we are dumb! We ain't! read more

Make the wise choice and go somewhere else. Bought a great looking truck from them. 11 days later the transmission started to go. Took it to my mechanic who showed me the chunks of metal in the trans pan and also the rear end leak that had been there for some time. So much for the supposed multi point inspection and great service records. Took it back to them on day 13 of owning the lemon. I was basically told to kick rocks unless I wanted to pay them full price for parts and labor wich would be well over 3500 bucks....after the 22 grand i spent 13 days prior. What a joke...thanks Randy Wise Ford for teaching me a very expensive lesson. I will make it my life goal to tell everyone i know to avoid you like the plague. read more

While on vacation passing through the area the transmission "jumped' a few times which got my attention, I noticed white smoke behind the truck so I pulled over to investigate. I found that the transmission was leaking fluid, wind was blowing fluid onto the frame, exhaust system and muffler. I stopped at Randy Wise Ford and spoke with service advisor Jeffery Cline and asked if they could take a look at the leak (as I had no way of servicing it myself). I indicated that six weeks earlier I had a Ford dealership local to my residence in Indiana change the transmission fluid and filter on my 2018 Ford F150 and that I suspected that the technician who last worked on my truck might not have properly tightened the pan bolts. He agreed to look at it and brought the truck back to their service bay and the technician determined exactly what I felt it to be, the leak was caused from the transmission pan bolts not having been properly tightened/torqued down by the previous dealership technician when i had the fluid/filter changed. This resulted in the loss of one pan bolt and fluid leaking from the right (passenger) side. I want to send a huge thank you to the staff at Randy Wise Ford for being able to fit me into their busy schedule, getting me in and out in under four hours AND they was able to get it covered under warranty at no cost to me! I had a pleasant experience at this dealership and would definitely go back and give my business to this dealership again in the future! read more

This is the second used car we've purchased from Randy Wise-Ford. We returned when looking for a reliable vehicle for my son. We had been disappointed over 10 times in 30 days at 5 different dealers in the area. I called up Marty Court in Used Cards, he told me he had a few we may be interested in. Needless to say, I was a little skeptical. There was a surprise on the lot. The EXACT car we were looking for was there-- when does this EVER happen?? Marty took us on a test drive, encouraged surface, highway and freeway driving. There was never any rush in the purchase, even though we didn't arrive until 6:30pm. Needless to say between Marty car seller extraordinaire and Sam - The Financial Man. My son is over-the-moon and even did laundry last night without a reminder. How long do you think this will last? Wasted a lot of time waiting because communications between different parties in the dealership doesn't exist. The sales department mailed my check to pay off my loan to the wrong address. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL when we called they suggested WE figure out what happened to the check if we wanted to be "proactive". The check finally made it to my lender and they didn't pay off the full amount, we are stuck with the late fees. My time here at Randy Wise Ford Dealership was a complete waste of time. They ran my credit score, told me my credit score wasn't good enough. Lost me 3 cars in total. Salesman David Baldini Lied to me about a used 2013 Chevy Malibu. He told me there would be no problems with the car.. i go get it inspected and there is 1,000$ in repairs. He cost me over 80$ and 4 days of my time which resulted in 3 cars lost. This dealership has no idea how to do business. However, that area seemed to be over populated with dealers. I found that their pricing was not the most competitive. My salesman Brian was very nice and accommodating. I did have plans to buy a different vehicle but it was sold prior, but they had another I liked so we worked out a deal. Unfortunately for me I looked the car over when it was a bit dusty from pollen and did not get as good a look as I did when I got home. Thought I had just a couple small paint chips but there were more once I had a clean car to look at. Much to my surprise though I also found that the passenger mirror was actually damaged underneath the mirror on the bottom of the mirror housing. About a $0.50 piece size hole in it from an obvious impact with something. Looks like a $400-500 repair or live with a cracked mirror housing. The car was fair priced and they gave me a decent price on my trade but feel these "issues" could have been shared in the pics online or during the initial showing. As for the atmosphere and professionalism, the dealership had 80s hair metal music playing in the showroom at a level that was not professional in my opinion (and I actually like the music), add to this it was lunch time and the sales staff ordered in pizza and proceeded to eat while taking calls and seeing incoming customers. Overall not terrible, but Randy Wise could do more to raise the level of expected professionalism and honesty in car sales. I for one prefer it, integrity, honesty and your word is all you can really sell. read more

I like most people these days was searching the internet's various car sales sites for a used car. I found a Ford Edge that met my criteria at Randy Wise Ford. I contacted the the dealership and made a appointment to see the car . My sales person was Jeff in used Cars. I spoke with Jeff and told him that I would be Leaving from my work 2 hours early to view the car, I told him i understood he could not hold the car during the day but I asked him if he would hold it while I was in route to see it. He assured me this would not be a issue and said he had the keys on his desk. I told Jeff the time I was leaving and that I would have a 2 hour drive to get there. I made arrangements to leave work early with all intentions of buying the car. I cant tell you how upset I was to receive a call from Jeff 20 minutes after I was on the road to tell me that the car was sold to someone else. This cost me 2 hours of overtime pay plus our time as my wife was meeting me to drive to your Dealership. In my opinion , this is nothing more than a case of a sales person selling a car instead of holding for 2 hours for a potential sale. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. My daughter went to lease a car from them. She was told she could roll her over mileage charge into the payment. Turns out she could not. So she made arrangements to pay the balance each month until payed off. She went to make a payment and was treated with a total lack of respect and the person she talked to demanded payment saying the person who helped her is no longer there. She left there very upset. She did pay it a month later in full. Our family is large and we purchase or lease new cars every 2-3 years. It is safe to say we will never buy a car from this dealership ever and will probably just stick with anything but Fords. Not worth the hassle. I stopped to look at a used car thought I had found the perfect fit for what I needed and left a deposit I was told would be fully refundable. Later that night I found out the car wouldn't be able to handle towing what I needed it to tow. The next morning I was texting Tony the salesperson I was working with saying I found out it wasn't going to work. His response was it's only a few hundred extra pounds it'll be fine and kept trying to push it on my. Then his next suggestion was that I spend almost 8000 more above my max budget for something else. I said i was going to take a few days and look and do more research on what vehicles fit my towing needs and my price point. I then asked how long it would take to get my deposit that he told me was fully refundable back and that's when he stopped communicating with me. Too bad they don"t spend the same kind of effort to do the job right the first time or adequately respond to legitimate customer concerns. I had a Terrible repair for a replacement hood insulation. Part was dirty as if laid down in discolored water which stained the material, material was scuffed up and it was missing a grommet hold down piece. Service rep and technician were disrespectful and less than helpful. Despite several attempts to talk to management and owner, nobody called for weeks. When I called Ford Motor Company, the new service manager has yet to resolve the matter. This place is not worth the aggravation. read more

My wife and I bought a 2014 ford explore with about 110,000 miles on it from the Ortonville location. less than 24 hrs later (when we were on our way up north) the serpentine belt broke and sliced the a.c. line. We contacted the sales man and they fixed it for us at no charge. Then about 5 months later both turbos went out and the engine started to run very rough so we took it to the closest dealership ( LaFontaine in Birch Run) and found out the engine would need replaced as well as both turbos, a catalytic converter, both front control arms, and both front tires ($13,000 the quote LaFontaine gave me at the time). So if randy wise does such a great inspection on all of their used vehicles how did they miss all the things wrong with our explore? We didnt even get 6 months out of it before the engine went bad. How can you charge someone $16,000 for a vehicle that doesn't last 6 months? I will never be back to any randy wise dealership as long as I live. I'm also going be sharing my experience with everyone I know. I'm so disappointed I could have bought a much better vehicle off the side of the road for cheaper. read more

The Service Shop is a joke!!!! I spent 2 separate visits totaling 7 hours of my life in the waiting lobby area for them to do a job that takes a normal garage 2 hours. I had an appointment at 9am and they couldn't get my car in garage until noon but didn't bother to tell me that until I was leaving at 2pm. When I came back to get the repair done they had ordered the wrong part and I had to wait 2 more hours for another garage to bring in the correct part. DO NOT WAISTE YOUR TIME. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. So, I found what I thought was a great Honda Element for $2900. It looked clean and rust free. This was Friday June 2nd. I corresponded with the internet attendant via email, text and phone. I couldn't come until Monday. I offered to put a hold on it with a credit card. The internet attendant had my phone number and I instructed her to call me so I could give my CC info. On Monday morning I corresponded again and I assured her I was coming. I had taken a half day and arranged for another person to come with me to drive one of the car back and she calls me to inform me not to bother to drive up because they had sold the vehicle. I live 2 1/2 hours away. Also, she claims that the sales attendant tried calling to get the Credit Card Info, which I cal BS because I am on my phone all the time due to my profession. If you are purchasing a car through their internet sales - think twice! I bought a SUV that was described by John Durand as "prime" and told repeatedly the 2008 vehicle was in great condition with nothing other than some light wear. That's a joke and the pictures managed not to show: Rust on the front of the hood, missing clips so the front apron is off, a missing hinge on the rear tail gate glass, leather upholstery in the back that has issues, a broken drivers side window where it meets the seal, broken cup holder, and a number of small dents. This wasn't even close, but of course I was relying on his honesty to fill in any blanks as the pictures did not show any of this. I emailed John as soon as I returned from vacation and took possession of the car from the people that handled picking it up. It was matter-of-fact with a request for the dealer to consider splitting the cost of fixing the car to the advertised condition. Imagine - no response. I'm left holding the bag for around $1,000 worth of extra work to the car. As if all this wasn't enough the car only came with one key (perhaps they could have said something about that). I will be writing as many reviews across cyber space as possible so others who review the dealer will not be caught off guard and will include pictures of the problems that were not disclosed and deliberately hidden. Would have been nice for them to just do the right thing at any point. The car is a 2008 Saab SUV that I purchased for a little more than $10K with 75,000 miles. This was at the top end of KBB and NADA for a vehicle in great condition. Again, not even close. read more

I was in the lobby when I overheard an employee talking to a customer. I believe the employees name is Sonny (he has a lazy eye). he was telling this customer that her daughter gave the dealership a bad review. It is not this one review that gave you a bad rating, it is the lack of inventory and the rudeness of everyone in that place. I saw 4 salesmen, all of them on their cell phone, not one of them talked to me. The girl at the front desk didn't look old enough to talk so that is probably why she didn't say Hello. Sonny repeated himself 4 times about this bad rating. He is so worried about this rating, why is he not worried about the lack of inventory or the rudeness of everyone in there including himself! I saw my salesman, he was my best friend when I was purchasing a vehicle, but on this day I was invisible. I won't be back that is for sure and I will not recommend this dealership. read more
