They were unable to diagnose or repair the issue in-house and subsequently sent the vehicle to the nearest dealership. At the time, I was expected to work near Detroit, which became impossible due to the breakdown. I was provided a loaner vehicle--a Chevy Impala with worn tires during winter conditions--despite the possibility that I could be required to drive several hours on short notice. For several days, I received no updates regarding the status or location of my vehicle. After initiating multiple follow-ups, I was repeatedly told, "I don't know," until I escalated the issue to management. Matt, the manager, was professional and communicative and ultimately confirmed where the vehicle had been sent. I had a safe in the trunk of my vehicle containing valuable items. Unfortunately, I was unable to retrieve them because I was unaware of the vehicle's whereabouts. To avoid further delays, I personally contacted the dealership and received clear information within minutes--something Blue Knob had been unable to provide after multiple days. By that point, the condition of the loaner vehicle required new tires for basic safety during a 5-6 hour drive. Once my vehicle was finally repaired, I was still required to wait for Blue Knob to retrieve it before I could do the same. During my visit to the service center, I overheard staff making disrespectful remarks regarding my request for safe tires on the loaner vehicle, among other comments. I was also informed that I should not have contacted the dealership directly and instead should have waited 3-5 business days for updates through Blue Knob. While Blue Knob presents itself as highly corporate and professional, internal communication and customer treatment do not reflect those standards. Clients should be aware that concerns regarding safety and timely communication may be met with dismissal rather than support.

I have been going to Reliable for many years without any problems. Always did good work...until…read morerecently. I had my vehicle in last Wednesday (7/15/26), for its inspection. When I scheduled the appointment on 7/10/26, I informed them that I thought the flex pipe on my exhaust was starting to fail, the girl at the desk said they would look at it. On the day of my inspection, I was told everything was fine..no problems. Fast forward to yesterday, 7/20/2026, I go outside to start my car up in the morning, and it was cooler. As I started it up, by the sound, there was definitely an exhaust leak, and it was, for sure, coming from the flex pipe. I called Reliable to schedule an appointment, and the same girl who was working the desk on my inspection day, answered. I explained that I just had my car there on 7/15/2026 for an inspection and that I had asked them to check the flex pipe and that I had been told everything was fine and they passed it, but now, a few days later, a failure of the flex pipe. The girl on the phone asked for my name and vehicle make and model. She quoted me $8,000 for a full exhaust replacement!!! Not $800, but $8,000, because, that's just what it costs now!! $8,000 for a 2021 Ford Ecosport. I get new exhausts for our Ford Transit 350 HD's at work for $1,700. Tell me you don't want to do the job, tell me you're too busy, but don't give me this line of BS!! The girl on the phone gave me the phone number for another company and told me to call them to have the work done.

They called and told me I bought the wrong part. I told them I used the VIN to make sure I had the right part and they still said it didn't fit. When I picked it up they then said it was just a sensor that didn't fit, but they didn't give me the sensor I had purchased back. I didn't care at the time, it came with the part so I couldn't return just the sensor anyhow. I picked the car up after hours and as soon as I started it I noticed it wasn't idling right. I took it back, and it cost me another $124 to replace a spark plug due to a misfire. They tried to sell me a $400 tune up. My car didn't have a misfire when I dropped it off. I definitely feel like I was taken advantage of. What are the odds that it would randomly develop a misfire while they had it?
