I had a few things I needed done at my house, one of which was replacing the kitchen sink. It turned out that the sink I had bought was the wrong size so I paid them to reinstall the old one. With the other things they worked on, the total bill was $1400 including 6 hours at $175 per hour labor. After they left, I noticed the hot water at the kitchen sink was off. I turned it on at the valve under the sink and it immediately started dripping. I called them. They would not even come look at it without charging another $225. I fixed the leak myself and it was completely their fault. Their employee was either incompetent or lazy and they were completely unwilling to address it without charging more money. I would not recommend Randy's Rooter after this. read more

Called about clogged drain on main line between building and tank. Scheduled service man to come out the next day. Serviceman arrived at scheduled time received call from main office when he was headed our way. Service man arrived made and assessment and within about half an hour had our drains running great. They took time to help us determine what could have caused our clog and preventive ideas to keep it from happening again. Very reasonable rates. Will use and recommend them. read more

I agree with others who say these people from the owner to the office staff to the plumbers they are beyond rude and they do it at $160.00 per hour. They had a plumber and a helper replace my gas line and they probably left numerous times over the week they worked here, and yes they would both leave to go get something they had forgotten at the shop or to purchase parts and yes they were still charging $160.00 per hour while they were running around. There was work the helper could have been doing while the plumber was driving around but I guess they were inseparable. They unhooked a pipe and plugged it off for five minutes to check for a leak and then re-hooked it up and still charged $160.00 a full hour. I had mentioned that I could do this if they would just leave there gauge on and check it after 5 min. But they called Randy out and he came and pretty much told me to keep my hands off any work that they were doing. If we had not been without gas for about a week already I would have told him to get his people and there crap off my property as I was the owner of the house and could do as I pleased. They kind of had us over a barrel though and we just wanted it finished. So if your looking for a plumber I would definitely look elsewhere or know you have been warned. There are to many choices in Midland to make the wrong choice. I can assure you Randy's will NEVER SET FOOT ON MY PROPERTY AGAIN! read more

Had them come out to replace a sewer line and instead of a trencher they sent a guy with a shovel and at 30 an hour no thanks. We finished digging the trench and Randy went crazy. This is a very unprofessional company and we were told by Randy to never call them again. No problem. This compant is a rip off. When a homeowner tries to save some money when this company had a trencher but its convenient that the trencher operator is on vacation. After the line was laid he got mad that we were going to help close in the ditch, Randy told his guy to leave and walked off the job. And yes, his office staff is way beyond rude. I called for a stopped up drain. The guy came, but did not speak English so it was difficult to communicate with him. He said my drain was open and I paid him only to find out a couple of days later, we still had the same issue. I called and spoke to Randy and he told me he would send someone back out. No one showed. I called the next day and again, Randy assured me that someone would be out. No one showed. I called again and was told that I did not purchase a warranty for their work so I would have to pay again! That is not my idea of a reputable company that stands behind their work! This company shut off my gas to repair a leak, and when Atmos Energy was unable to figure out how to relight the gas range, I contacted Randy's. Because I live out of town, they asked me to call back before my next visit to schedule the reconnect. When I did, I was given an appointment for a fix that would take about 1 minute: literally turning a hidden valve back on, but no one showed up on the scheduled day and time, and though I called (leaving a message on Irene's voicemail), no one called me back. Despite having been stood up, I was unperturbed when I called them the next day, because I had been told that if I missed the appointment due to my plane being delayed, etc., that Randy would swing by the next day, a Saturday. I felt this was reasonable and considerate. However, when I called on Saturday, Irene answered. There are several reviews that document how Irene, specifically, is rude and unprofessional. Not only did she tell me, "If they have to come out again, they're going to have to charge," but she consistently interrupted every single time I tried to complete a sentence. This talking over me did not abate, even after I asked her exasperatedly if I could please finish a sentence. Instead, she continued to dismiss my request and concerns, and argue with me. When I refused to let her talk over me and insisted she allow me to get a word in edgewise, she HUNG UP ON ME. I called back immediately and she didn't answer. Incredibly unprofessional. Only after I left a voicemail, explaining that my next step would be to post an honest, fact-based review of their terrible customer service, did she answer when I then tried once more to call back. She was obviously concerned about the review I might post (understandable, since over and over again people have complained about her lack of professionalism), but despite any damage control she might have wanted to accomplish (she did, after all, hang up in my face for no defensible reason) she continued to argue and talk over me, asking me at one point about completely unrelated things, including asking me if I had left negative reviews against other plumbers who had declined to fix a completely unrelated issue with a jetted tub. This was incomprehensible to me, because although Irene reminded me that I had "begged" her to please ask the owner if he would look at and repair my tub (I had), RANDY'S ROOTER & PLUMBING ALSO DECLINED TO HELP ME WITH THAT PROBLEM, so I couldn't figure out why she was even bringing it up. I finally told her I did not have time to waste arguing with her about irrelevant things, and would Randy be calling me back, or not? She said yes, but no one called. Instead, this woman then texted me, stating, "I relayed msg [sic] to Randy. I wanted to let you know that I too read your REVIEWS. He will be contacting before the day is over. Thank you, Irene" I texted back, "You are incredibly unprofessional," and she then proceeded to text again, going on at length about having been "manipulated," "bullied," and "shouted at," which is grossly untrue. She then went on to personally insult me: "I would rather be called ARGUMENTATIVE [sic all caps] than an addict," referring to my personal medical history. I had to tell her to stop texting me. There is a pattern of verbally mistreating customers with this person, but those texts are the most egregious customer service experience I have ever had. read more

I have never encountered such a rude business owner. I was warned by my roommate (who called him) that he was rude. We needed an external pipe replaced on our water heater. The plumber came and DESTROYED our water heater with a blow torch and pipe wrench. I told him several times that's not what it needed. He ignored me and called another plumber (with a tattoo on his face) to help him and when I called someone else to ask them if these guys should be trying to take apart the heater and the tattoo face said I was insulting his intelligence. There is a sticker under the item the plumber was trying to remove that says DO NOT APPLY HEAT AND DO NOT REMOVE. He did both and after he broke the heater, he told us we needed a new one. I sent Randy Rooter an email and made several calls to him, he finally called back and told me the guy "barely touched it & he did what you told him to do". I don't really need much but hot water in the winter would be nice. Plus, a little compassion from a business owner when he is at fault. I am a reasonable person and I really am having a hard time believing Randy was so rude during our conversation.... HE HUNG UP ON ME. I will now begin proceedings in regard to this matter as he doesn't need to be in business if he conducts it in such a manner. read more

I had a plumbing problem intermittently for 2.5 years and all the major plumbing companies and even a leak specialist gave their opinions, did work and I spent thousands of dollars and still had the same problem recurring, water leaking under the hot water heater/furnace closet and eventually flowing onto my carpet. Randy's Rooter Rooter Plumbing was recommended by a friend and they came to my house the same day I called, identified the leak, fixed the leak, went over and beyond with the most efficient, professional work I've ever witnessed. The charges were quite reasonable, especially considering the men kept working after 5 pm. As long as I live in Midland, I will always use these plumbers. Irene was professional and friendly when I called. I'd give this company 100 stars if I could. read more

Horrible horrible do not use I had cops called on me cause I refused to pay for the plumber to look down and move a shower curtain and say I had a stoppage but clearly there was more wrong. Irene called police about altercation when really there was only a refusal to pay. I was told by cop they could give me a ticket which would cost way more than $50 for theft of services. I did pay mind you at Christmas time for remember a guy to look down at toilet and move a shower curtain. Oh yea and I told her I was going to put this on Facebook and she said she was going to sue me. Oh yes I did say come out I am here waiting and when I felt like I was being taken advantage of I said I know another plumber that will cost $$ that's when the problem started.
