I went through a devastating medical emergency and was in a coma for three weeks. They were aware of what happened to me. After everything I have been through physically and emotionally, it took a lot for me to finally reach out--and then to be completely ignored for days was incredibly hurtful. I'm not expecting special treatment. I am expecting basic courtesy, empathy, and compassion from a business I supported for seven years. One constant issue with this place and their other locations is that they frequently move their lash techs. To continue seeing Hannah, I had to go to Pasadena, SGV, Brea, and Monterey Park (she's still amazing). When Hannah was sent to the Whittier location, I tried a new tech who cut my bottom lashes without telling me, was rude, and did a poor job on my new set. I discovered the cut lashes only after getting home and checking in a larger mirror. I never returned to SGV after that horrifying experience. I then found Serena at the SGV location after Hannah left. While Serena did decent work, she overcharged me every time. Recently, I went back 6 days after a refill because chunks of my lashes had fallen off. Despite asking her to use more glue, the lashes kept falling off easily. She tried to charge me $53 for a fix when I had paid $65 just 6 days earlier. Hannah always charged me reasonably. After making another appointment with Serene, I received a text saying she no longer wanted to do my lashes. I was always polite, even when Serene was late. I complimented her work and was flexible with appointment changes. I'm upset because I've been a loyal customer for so long, referred many people, and never complained, yet I feel there's no customer loyalty in return.

I eventually saw my eye doctor, who confirmed that I had several small cuts/scratches to my eye consistent with irritation from the tape used during the lash application. I reached out to Soleil Lash to explain what happened and ask whether they would reimburse me for the cost of my doctor's appointment. The response I received felt automated and impersonal, and they ultimately denied any reimbursement or refund. I completely understand that accidents can happen, and the fact that I experienced an injury is not actually what disappointed me the most. What bothered me was how the situation was handled afterward. When a customer reaches out because they were injured during a service and had to seek medical care, I would expect the business to at least show genuine concern and make an effort to address the situation. Unfortunately, I did not feel that was the case here. I had been willing to return after my first visit, but after this experience and poor customer care afterward, I would not feel comfortable coming back.
