Croissants, coffee
Anne C.

A perfect neighborhood cafe and bakery with great vibes and great employees with a 2 tables outside and some benches. We love that the coffee comes with the chouquettes and these are a lovely touch. We also got the different sandwiches including the ham and brie, the ham and cheese (though I didn't love the honey mustard with it), and kouign-amann and croissants. Overall a bit pricey but worth it!

The buttery and flanky croissant is the best thing on the menu. Simple but so flavorful. But i would definitely recommend the chocolate chip cookie as well. Its big, filled with big chocolate chunks so chewy. The staff is amazing ad well. Very welcoming. Just a head up it gets busy but the service is fast

Really nice spot to quickly grab a coffee. The bakery itself isn't big and staying inside could be overwhelming if it's busy, but it's worth it! I've tried their sourdough bread, delicious! Also, they give you this little pastry (you can see it on the picture) for free!

Ham and butter and a sheaf of baguettes

This is our go to spot for fresh baked baguettes for my friends annual NYE party. Freshly baked still hot from the oven we walk out with a 1/2 dozen loaves to be sliced and topped with fresh slivers of roasted beef or crostinis . As a treat we also leave with a sandwich with thinly sliced ham and spread with butter. Service is always pleasant and welcoming

Very rare to see a place with 5 stars & they deserve it. Raphael's bakery carries some amazing goods. We popped in at 12 on a Saturday & the place is packed. However despite that, service was prompt. The people behind the counter are wonderful, gave free samples and explained everything very well. We had a short wait for our drinks and we found a bench outside to eat. The place itself is tiny but mighty, I wish somehow they could have more seating options but I think it would still be just as packed. We both had some sandwiches that were very delicious & fresh, the croissant was out of this world & the drinks were awesome. Really worth the stop!

Chouquettes and an iced latte

Our first time visiting Raphaël's Bakery was last summer (but I neglected to finish and post this review until now, which is our third visit)--incredible! Can't sing high enough praises. We had the chocolate chip cookie croissant the first time and again today--incredible! Had a standard chocolate chip cookie and chocolate chip walnut cookie this time--also delicious. The chouquettes are light as air and just sweet enough. Throughout the three visits we also had the raspberry croissant, pain du chocolate, brioche roll, baguette, and iced latte. Each and every item is sublime. And the staff is incredibly helpful and kind. Anthony helped me the first and third time, and co-owner Charlotte is always nice (it's a family-run business, which includes Charlotte, her husband, Raphaël, and their sons). A must-visit for anyone in the Tri-State Area!

Small bakery but the line moves quick. It was our first time in and the workers gave us some free samples and was so incredibly nice. What an awesome experience. We got some sandwiches on the FRESHEST baguette I've ever had. Will be back.

I've been to so many bakeries in ct and nyc and by far Raphael's is by far the best bakery I've been to. I went on a Sunday late morning and it was pretty crowded but the line moved fast. I got a plain croissant, pain au chocolat, canele, chocolate chip cookie and chocolate chip & walnut cookie. The croissant and pain au chocolat are one of the best I've tried. Haven't tried croissant from France but I'd imagine these come close to authentic French pastries. Flaky exterior but soft interior, not too oily, or overly sweet. Canele and the cookies were good, not a huge sweets person but they all hit the spot. The staff were friendly. They gave me a little puff choux to try which was delicious. I just wish Raphael's was closer to where I live. Will definitely be back.

Incredible bakery, like out of Paris, melted, fresh chocolate-chip cookie, and their outrageously incredible raspberry pink tort. One of the best pastries I've had, I ate it so quickly I couldn't get a photo. The flavors here and ingredients are top-notch. Plus, they've got a Polaroid wall of dog customers so you know they're dog friendly which is the best! My boy is up there now :) 5 stars!!!!

The most amazing chocolate matzo toffee bar you'll ever eat

Raphaël's is far and away the best bakery I've ever been to. To begin with, the quality of the food is absolutely top notch across the board. I never had anything less than delicious from there and they offer a wide variety of options. From traditional French baked goods to chocolate matzo toffee bars to chocolate cookie croissants, there's always something for everyone. The ingredients are also high quality and they don't pack in any junk or preservatives (unlike grocery store bought bread which has an unnaturally long shelf life). I also love how easy is it to get here. They're right off Greenwich Ave and the area is quiet and serene. Well, quiet- ish. Since the day they opened their doors, Raphaël's often has a line out the door. Which is amazing because they opened their doors during Covid in middle of the winter - when most businesses were failing and closing. That should tell you something right there. Still, they're very efficient with checking out patrons and the line moves pretty fast so don't let that scare you away. It's absolutely worth the few minute wait if theres a line. I think Raphaël's continues to be so popular not just because they have great baked goods and a lovely location but they're also the nicest people I've ever met. The bakery is run by a wonderful French family that makes every visit here such a pleasure. If you want to support a local business while enjoying the best croissant you'll ever eat, you need to stop by Raphaël's. You will not regret it.

Chocolate croissant

Cute little place to grab your morning coffee with a little treat on top! The chocolate croissant was actually sooo good - gooey and flaky. The service was pretty fast even though there was a line every time I went.

One of my fav restaurants. The food is amazing. I always get the pad Thai. I also tried the lobster…read moreshooters and wow.

I'd have photos but the crowd would've all laughed at me. Greenwich, Connecticut. Iykyk. "Mhmm,"…read more"yup," "sup dude..." all not in the dictionary here. Some call it class, others call it manners. Some don't know the difference but there is one. And so I didn't break out my phone as to not embarrass myself and my loved one. And to fit in with a crowd I don't belong to. Ashamed of myself? Never. Orienta is highly rated and beloved by locals. This is somehow takeout for some of the Greenwichites although in other territories nobody would ever dare takeout from such a lovely and lively ambiant. Suit jacket upon suit jacket crowd by the inside of the door, shaking each other's hands and sharing faux cheek pecks. I saw way too many salads hit tables even though they were probably very good. Anything to stay snatched, holla at boy. Excuse me, your man... gentleman. Pilates. Reformers. Hot yoga. Musical chairs at Orienta with everyone that walks by because somehow we know everyone in this town and we're all wearing the same clothes and speak the same and happen to be at Orienta on the same night and somehow decide to join each other all for dinner. Amazing town to study. Just amazing. Anyways - Bao Buns are very good, dumplings solid. Pad Thai is like a savory pad see ew / pad Thai combo - very nice. Their star savory crepe is very fresh tasting and the chicken inside the crepe is very very nice. Pricing is fair. Service was quick, the servers were nice but cautiously and potentially judgingly so if that makes sense. Like if you waved your mitts across their face their eyes would roll behind their sockets and they'd start hitting thriller. And maybe a Soulja boy... YOUUUUUUU. You should give this place a try. It's good. I wouldn't call it 5 star great though. I'd like to try a few more things but nothing really stood out, nothing really disappointed. For the local tribes it's straight vibes. For us outta towners, one go was enough but I won't say no to a second-go.

Mon Dieu! The warm goat cheese salad! I swore I wasn't going to eat it all, but somehow I emptied my plate. I added chicken and the meat was juicy and savory. The sour cherry vinaigrette was a lovely way to dress the toasted almond shavings and greens. The Montrachet melted in my mouth. The service was attentive and cordial. I felt bad they couldn't coax dessert because I've had their crème brûlée on another occasion and it was heavenly. C'est magnifique, Chez Vous!
