After lunch in the area we decided to stop here for some gelato. We had recently been to Italy and we were in need of some gelato. I had a Cappacino and a tiramisu gelato while my girlfriend had a strawberry gelato. Ultimately, it was good. The small café has several tables inside and more outside of the café. In addition to gelato and coffee they also sold various Italian baked goods and other items. The staff was nice and I can definitely see us going back again.

Baked Croissant (chocolate/pistachio/Nutella cream flavor to choose) is good, tiramisu was authentic. Lobster Claws was crispy and yummy. foccacia prosciutto sandwich with lettuce tomato & cheese, was so good and big enough for two people. (Must try) Latte was good, not bitter and stays hot during the whole meal because of the double wall coffee mug. I also like their coffee. Definitely a hidden gem, i didn't know they already opened for 2 years, owner come from Napels Italy very friendly people. The cafe is clean and cozy, will come back aga5to try more items and the gelato.

We stumbled across this cafe on our drive home and were pleasantly surprised! The staff are very friendly and the cafe is traditional Italian! The owners are Italian as well. It's very cute inside with plenty of imported Italian goods to purchase along with their coffee, sandwich, and pastry menu. I absolutely loved the pistachio bambalone!

A welcome addition to the apparent "gentrification" of the area. Very friendly service in an intimate setting. No matter what time of day they always seem to be busy, and well deserved! Their coffee is smooth and rich without bitterness. And they offer a selection of alternative, milk like almond & pistachio. Seating for approximately 20. Although there is intention to expand in the summer of 2023. Their traditionally crafted cappuccinos and lattes are perfection. I have not tried the gelato as of yet. But their pastries are reminiscent of the delicate delicious ones we've enjoyed throughout Italy. Cornetto is a traditional Italian pastry that closely resembles a croissant. They offer a variety of flavors, but to me the most luscious is the pistachio. Filled with a rich velvety pistachio cream. A wide selection of imported Italian retail from dry pasta, cookies, spices/oils, fresh cheeses and charcuterie.

Super cute and welcoming space! The staff is super friendly and the coffee was fantastic as well as the desserts. Highly recommend the cornettos and lemon cake.

What a cute place. Small selection but great service. We ordered and sat outside and they brought a whole set up to us. Delicious cappuccino, great tea and biscotti (which actually appeared to be sugar cookies, but yummy nonetheless). I took off a star because one of the people working there was sitting smoking a couple of feet away and the smoke was drifting over to us and it was a LOT. Almost ruined the experience.

They have a great variety of take home items as well. We got these for our daughter and she loved them.

Pausa Caffe is a brand new coffee shop in Norwalk. The owners are from Italy and offer authentic Italian desserts and drinks. Everything in the cafe is imported from Italy, with the exception of the bottled water, which the owner told me, he is planning to change in the future as well! While the coffee and the desserts were great, I think I may have loved the atmosphere in the place the most! When you walk in there is Italian music playing, the sounds of people speaking in Italian, and I kid you not, as we were sitting there enjoying our coffee and treats a man came in and loudly announced "Buongiorno!". I was able to speak to the owners about their new place and hear their passion for offering a truly authentic experience with their cafe. They have so many plans for the future - things like offering gelato, outdoor dining, and maybe even beer and wine in the distant future. I went with my husband and four year old daughter and it was wonderful experience. The latte and macchiato were great. (They do have almond and oat milk!) I wanted to try a few items so we got the chocolate croissant (which is made there), the tiramisu and a pistachio cannoli. The chocolate croissant was pretty good. The tiramisu wasn't bad, but it wasn't the most amazing one I've ever had. The lady finger on top was a little dry, however, underneath it the rest of the cake was moist and delicious. The pistachio cannoli was amazing though!!! I highly recommend it! The cafe offers a variety of take home food items as well. From pastas to cookies and other Italian yummies (I was told on Friday they would have Buffalo Mozzarella!!!), this cafe is a great addition to Norwalk! I know this is going to sound silly, but I loved the experience so much, I left wanting to learn Italian and travel to Italy! If you find yourself near Norwalk, and love coffee and Italian desserts, I highly recommend stopping in! You won't regret it!

Very interesting spot in an area getting gentrified. Very true Italian, had something that was cream coffee which was a bit odd it was more like a milk shake than coffee, not what I was expecting.. it was ok. Pastries were pistachio croissant and a cream filled croissant which both were ok. Quaint little place we just ordered the wrong items I believe for our taste.

I bought a Seeded Semolina bread, a Rosemary Focaccia, a Demi Baguette, chocolate chip cookies, an almond croissant and cheese monkey bread. I'll start with the most positive. The bread was terrific. My whole family loved it. It was fresh. Crusty in the right way. There were household requests for repeat purchases, and I had to say, "Don't get ahead of yourselves, they're too far away for normal shopping." I didn't eat the almond croissant or the cheese monkey bread until the next day. So I can't fairly judge them. The croissant was still pretty tasty. The cookie was fine. My wife and I both had one the day we bought it. We've had a lot of top tier cookies this year. I can't put this cookie in that category. The texture wasn't as enjoyable. It was a harder cookie than I like. It had less chocolate. The salt content wasn't where I like it. So we loved the bread. And would buy it again. We'd skip the cookie. 4.5 Stars

Small parking lot shared with multiple other businesses, but was able to find a spot. I was greeted seconds after entering, asking what I wanted, but as this was my first time here I wanted time to look around. Other than a party of 4 who were seated inside, no other customers were around. I had no idea they made pizza, and I took a suggested sample to try. Outstanding. Still looking and deciding, I was again asked if I was ready. I did know I wanted a sourdough baguette. OK. Packed. I asked about the Parisian sandwich (all the sandwiches are pre made and disayed in the case), to be sure Jambon de Paris was used. The staff had NO clue what I was talking about, and rudely proclaimed "it's ham". Yes, I am aware its ham, but if it is not Jambon de Paris I want to know so I can chose something else. Luckily, the manager or owner overheard and confirmed it was Jambon de Paris. Staff began ringing my items when I indicated that I still wanted 2 more items. Sigh and eyeroll. There was no one else in line or waiting to order. All items were expensive and no receipt was provided which I did not realize till I got home. The sandwich was good, but needed more Jambon de Paris. The tarragon mustard gave a nice flavor, while the butter provided a smooth texture to compliment the crunchiness of the bread. The sourdough bread and the filled croissants were both delicious, but also quite pricey. Sandwiches are not made or order, there is no pricing on many of the items that I could see, this is a location with lots of traffic and not much parking. On top of all of that, feeling rushed and completely disrespected as a paying customer doesn't make me want to return or recommend. You only get one chance to make a good first impression.

I recommend making a reservation online because it does get pretty busy on the weekend. We were seated right away with a reservation. We ordered a variety of things but my favorite hands down were the quinoa fritters. The prices here are pretty good for the area, but we were a little disappointed with the lack of flavor in the food. I got the avocado Benedict and my cauliflower was a little on the harder side and my avocado was bland. While the food didn't really stand out, the drinks and service made up for it. (Visited 3/11) Ambiance [4/5]: Minimalist style design, it's nice, Theres also pretty lighting and a good amount of seating with an open bar as well. Food: Trix latte w/ whole milk (seasonal): [4/5] Tastes like a bowl of cereal from a cup. Topped with whipped cream it's really delicious! Tastes like a cup of childhood. Theres a good anount of cereal in the cup alongside the ice so it feels like you get a good amount of sips before the drink is done. Other than that it's still pretty good nonetheless. Sin-A-Bun: [5/5] This is very delicious, it's a perfect mix of sweet and savory. The smokiness from the bacon surprisingly compliments the cinnamon roll buns. Good concept and executed perfectly. If there were an option i'd choose that over having it on the side. Surprisingly I didn't notice it on the side on the sandwich until I was half way through. Still delicious though. Challah french toast [5/5] Tasty and sweet. You can't go wrong with french toast. I added strawberries, blueberries, bananas, and Nutella drizzle (each topping is $3 extra). It was worth the price it was delicious. It came with a side of butter which compliments the sweetness of the toast and some syrup. I didn't use much of the syrup but it was still delicious when I did decide to use it! I wouldn't order this because for delivery because its one of those things that taste so much better fresh in front of you rather than waiting to he dropped off. Service: [5/5] Fast and efficient service! The restaurant works as a team. One man sat me, The middle eastern girl with the long sleeve black shirt took my order and checked on me, and the white boy with the arm tattoos and pen between his ear checked on me at times, and cleaned my table while the girl was busy. It's great to see everyone helping each other and not letting anyone suffer. I Loved it! Overall Cafe social, is a great restaurant to stop by if you plan on going to the mall. Not only is it a 8 minute walk but you're also given a great meal and overall greater experience. I see myself coming back here if I'm ever in norwalk looking for a quick bite!
