Create Your Own Pasta - Veggie noodles, Marinara sauce, Tofu
    Autumn M.

I ordered take out so I can't review the location. My build your own pasta was very good! There is a lot of food in an order, so be prepared to have leftovers. I love that this place offers tofu and also veggie noodles. I built my own bowl with both of those things since they are not something you can get everywhere. The marinara sauce had a nice spiciness to it, but it wasn't overly tangy. And the little foil bombs of garlic bread that come with your order are great for soaking up the extra sauce!

I've been wanting to go to Rasta Pasta for a very long time and when I finally went, it exceeded all expectations. It is conveniently located downtown, so it's a perfect place to begin a night out or end a day out shopping...or simply for the main event of your outing! I came with a large group and they were able to accommodate us instantly. Our server was so humorous, friendly and helpful, providing recommendations and to go boxes at the end of our meal. The menu is extensive with every style of pasta that you could dream of and even a build your own pasta section. Since it was my first time, I decided the try the flagship "Rasta pasta". It consists of penne noodles, a fresh vegetable medley, spicy jerk sauce and an extra vegetable and tofu medley, since I asked for it vegan style. That's right, Rasta pasta will make ANY menu item vegan or gluten free! Every bite of my pasta was delightful, warming me down to my very soul and replenishing every carbohydrate that I've ever lost. The flavor was exciting, the vegetables were tender yet crunchy and the tofu added a wonderful high protein pizazz. Even the side piece of bread was phenomenal! Not only is the food and service fantastic, but the ambiance is unbeatable. They were playing wonderful reggae such as Iration. With the Bob Marley murals and groovy decor, I felt like I was on an island having the best meal of my life. Needless to say, I'm a little obsessed with Rasta pasta and I am already jonesing for my next fix. If you haven't been here yet, you MUST!

I'm going to pre-date myself and say that I've been going to Rasta Pasta for over 20 years. Used to brag to friends that taking your date there increased the size of your "charisma" as everybody walked out of their old Breckenridge location ready to party. With that out of the way, I am happy to report that the CO sprigs location is still is putting out charisma generating dishes including my favorite the Montego Bay. Although more veggies have been added to this delight, still as good as I remember. Unfortunately, I dined by myself with quick and friendly service making me reminisce of the glory days of the past.

Pastas are delicious and really filing! Love that you can "customize" your spice level and they do have sauces on the table that are delicious. Fun causal spot!

4.5 stars. Delicious delicious food and a bright, tropical and fun atmosphere!! We came here on a Friday afternoon and it wasn't busy at all. The smells that hit you when you enter get the stomach juices running, so if you aren't hungry, you will start feeling hungry. We ordered the Tortellini Jamaica Mon, the Rasta Pasta and the Natural Mystic pastas. You can choose your level of spice and as someone who LOVES spicy food, please order the highest spice level if you do too. I ordered level 2 out of the 3 and had to add a lot of jerk sauce and chili flakes to make mine spicy. The Tortellini Jamaica Mon is on the sweeter side with bananas, pineapple and grapes. It is a white sauce based pasta. My friend who can't handle the spicy stuff, was definitely intrigued by it all and enjoyed it. The Rasta Pasta was marinara based and good but also needed more spice. I think the marinara took away from how spicy it could've been, especially with the jerk chicken in there. I LOVED mine, which was the natural mystic. For those familiar with it, this is what masala Maggi or curry ramen taste like. This one had penne pasta instead of a noodle component. It has pineapple curry sauce but it's not too strong to make it tangy. You get jerk chicken, cilantro, garlic, green onions and honestly, it is a delight to the palate (spiciness aside of course). I finished every bit of it and that says something, since I usually take half the portion home. We got margaritas to go with the pasta and they were delicious!! They also give them to you to go, which I loved immensely. For dessert, we got the bananas Marley which was basically ice cream with caramelized bananas. We were pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was! The warm caramel with the cold ice cream, was a complex but wonderful experience to the palate. The servers were very nice and definitely a place I'm coming back to!

    Chicken Montego Bay

I feel bad giving a bad review but I guess that's what reviewing is for. First of all, when I saw it was a Jamaican fusion place I was expecting to see Jamaicans working there but there weren't. Maybe it is Jamaican owned but I'm not sure. Anyhow, I ordered two pasta dishes that seemed highly recommended either on Yelp or even on the menu. My husband and I were going to share both dishes. When the Chicken Montego Bay came, it smelled very strong to me but I am pretty sensitive to smells so I didn't think anything of it. However when I ate it, it was not a good bite. The only flavor note I enjoyed was the pineapple but I didn't think it was a tasty bite. I ate just a few more to try and could not eat it any more so I passed it to my husband. I don't know if it was the cheese that didn't taste good but I just couldn't eat it. Then the other pasta dish came, the Rasta Pasta and I was hopeful it'll be better. Not at all. It might have been worse. It just tasted weird and very sour so I could not eat much of it too. I ended up eating some of the garlic bread. It might be just me but this fusion or at least the dishes I got just didn't taste good. Sorry but I'm not going back. My husband ate his fill as he doesn't like to waste food but I just couldn't do it.

Craving pasta? Look no further! They have so many unique pasta options and flavors! I chose a rose sauce because I love Alfredo sauce but wanted to keep it spicy. The taste was great, and there was plenty of food, I was able to take some to go. My only drawback was that part of my food was cold... the top pieces were so cold that I thought it was sitting out before being sent to the table. The garlic bread was great too, would definitely try the appetizer next time with the bread!

My family, and I thought that every single dish was delicious! My husband ordered the Montego Bay, my daughter ordered the Spicy jammin, and I had the Dreadlock Ravioli with sausage, all three were fantastic! Connie was our server, and she went above and beyond with providing us with stellar service. We also loved the ambience, as it reminded us of being back home on the Beachside. We highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion.

I came upon on this family run, locally owned hidden gem restaurant while traveling through Colorado Springs. This brightly colored, reggae devoted restaurant is a one of a kind pasta place that this newbee experienced. With Caribbean/Italian flavors, meat and vegetarian choices gives the opportunity to customize each dish to your preference. I loved the "natural mystic"with its jerk chicken, curry pineapple sauce, garlic, green onions. You can request your spice level and my server said I have the option to add a dab of their Alfredo sauce if I would like. I was so glad I took his recommendation! I haven't had this combination of flavors before! (It can be made vegetarian or gluten free too if you choose!) Lunch portion is $10.95 or the dinner portion is $15.95 -where there is double the entree and a side salad included. I opted for the dinner size and took home for another meal! Bread comes with both servings. I also admired the choices of dressings available for the side salad. I went with green pepper vinegarette and it was distinctive and most delicious! My dining partners said their seafood Alfredo with a splash of rose sauce (recommended by server) was excellent. With the creative dishes it not a wonder that Guy Fiery had visited here while hosting "Drive ins and Dives." To top it, our server, Nic A. demonstrated what superior service is all about. His positive energy and super communication skills made our late lunch a memorable one!

Oh my pasta was this place good! We sat outside on the patio where heaters are provided if it's chilly out. I ordered the Rum Punch which was delicious albeit very sweet. The seafood Alfredo and the chicken Montego Bay were wonderful! And the garlic bread served as a side was incredible! Definitely give this place a try if visiting Colorado Springs! They have both lunch and dinner portions with lunch being a few dollars cheaper. Still a huge amount of food!

I ordered the Jamaican fried chicken with Mac n cheese, rice and peas. Honestly, some of the best fried chicken I've ever had. Fell off the bones, juicy meat but with a fantastic crunch and the perfect fry. The Mac and cheese was creamy and delicious. The rice and peas were an unexpected treat. I don't typically finish rice but there was none left, it was really that good. The location is very small, probably would be cramped with 8-10 people inside. I noticed most people grabbed it to go as we were the only group actually seated to eat. The parking lot isn't very big but it's very close to I-25 and convenient access. It can be seen from the street but there are no opportunities to turn into the lot from the main road. I reviewed the menu online and knew I'd wanted to try the curried goat. Since it was closing soon, the guy preparing my order gave me cabbage and two plantains since he didn't have enough for a full order. My eyes were bigger than my stomach. I ordered a beef patty and it did not disappoint. The beef patty was hot and fresh and about the size of my hand. The filling was generous and not the kind of situation where there's maybe a tablespoon of filling. It didn't even make it back because I ate half in the parking lot and the other half while driving. I looked down at my shirt and devoured the flaky crumbs that landed on my shirt. The portion was appropriate for the price point. There is a pepper sauce on the table but they don't have any to go cups. I dashed some on my order before leaving. I think this establishment could use a little better advertising because we only stumbled upon this place after a search on Yelp for Latin cuisine. Otherwise, I've never heard of this place before and I don't hear anyone talking about it. This is cute family establishment. It really makes you feel like you're sitting in Miami having a nice meal. The owner/staff are really friendly and are not shy from coming up to you and sparking a conversation. We ordered the Churrasco, Lechon Asado, and the kid's Deditos de Pollo. The meats were very good. The steak was very flavorful and tender. The lechon asado had good flavor also. Both meat portions were generous. The rice was good, but the tostones were very hard and dry. I wouldn't be surprised if they were made ahead and refried, which absolutely ruined them. They were inedible. The kids chicken nuggets were OK. My daughter had to drown them in ketchup for her to be able to eat, so I'm guessing they were very dry or tastless. We also waited for a very long time for staff to bring us our bill. We waited about 30-40 minutes for anyone to come back to our table to bring our check after we had already finished eating. So, although the staff is very friendly, their customer service could use improving. Overall, our experience was fair. There were some hiccups, but I think it's because it's a small family establishment that still needs to work out the kinks.

After perusing the menu, we decided to order several dishes and share them so we could try more. We asked the server for a appetizer recommendation, and he told us that the empanadas were very popular, and that we could choose a different flavor for each one. So we did that - choosing chicken, cheese, and guava and cheese (for dessert). We also ordered the Lechon Asada with sides of Moro and Maduras. We also tried the 2 Tamal Cubano plate, which included another side, and we chose more Maduros. Receiving our food took a little while because his family owned business was having a lot of takeout orders. But eventually the Lechon Asada and empanadas were brought out with the promise of the third dish to be delivered soon. Did Liang Asado had the Cuban rice and beans at one end and the Maduras (fried sweet plantains) at the other. Presentation was lovely and the food was very tasty. The empanadas had to be cut open so we could see what was inside. the crust was flaky and the filling also delicious. As we were making our way through these dishes, the Tamal plate was brought out. We each took one and split the Maduras. The Tamal Cubanos were different than the Mexican tamales we are used to. But they were extremely good, and I would definitely order them again. The surface was friendly and helpful, although not fast. But as long as you aren't in a hurry, the meal was perfect!
