I had no choice but to have surgery. Dr. Gilbert and his entire staff are the greatest I have ever had. On my initial consult, Dr. Gilbert entered the exam room so bubbly that it put me right at ease. He explained the procedure in depth, and we discussed alternate pain management away from opioids (40 years clean). My surgery was on a Friday. I arrived at 6am (surgical center in same office building) and was on my way home by 11. I was awake during the procedure, so they numbed my hand, and gave me Ketamine (Special K). I felt no pain and Dr. Gilbert described the operation as he went along. The recovery staff were caring and very attentive to their patients. I felt very at ease. Here is where Dr. Gilbert differs from the physicians I have seen. The surgery was on a Friday, and to my complete surprise, Dr. Gilbert called me from his personal phone on Saturday to see how I was faring. To me this is unheard of. On my follow-up visit, they removed the bandage and I could see the incision was in line with the crease in my hand. Having been fully healed, you cannot see the scar. (see photo). I began physical therapy with Alex. He is very knowledgeable and took a video on my phone of me to demonstrate exercises I needed to do to maintain flexibility. The subsequent visits, the therapy exorcises were thorough and pain free. I took a 15 day cruise just 6 weeks after surgery with no complications. After I completed my therapy and was released, I wrote a thank you note, only to have Dr Gilbert reply with a thank you for my thank you. The staff from check-in to check-out are friendly and attentive to your needs. (They love doughnuts, so bring a dozen for them). All in All this was by far the best experience I have ever had with any physician in my life. If you are in need of Dr. Gilberts services, I could not recommend him more. Thank you Dr Gilbert.

Had an mri after surgery, and I'm in worse condition than prior to her performing surgery. Was told the mri "is a mess". Other Drs. have no clue what she did! Hate to write a negative review but the fact that I had to undergo the SAME surgery she botched is a nightmare. The pain, costs/thousands of dollars, swelling for over a year, quality of life wasted for over a year, PT was a total waste for several months and they also told me I was worse off after surgery, taking time off of work for this nonsense for several months, loss of travel, in pain just walking, all a horrendous experience. And she cut me double the length she needed to, so now I need a plastic surgeon. The cut isn't even straight, complete disaster experience. Having been the victim of a botched surgical procedure in my youth, I'm really thorough about checking into who my surgeon is going to be and the facility in which the surgery is going to take place. After checking out everything I made an appointment with Dr.Ross Wodicka and couldn't have been more delighted. He's not only a great doctor but real good down to earth guy who carefully explains all your options and matters involving the procedure. Matter of fact, because of my age being 74, he wasn't cut happy and really wanted me to know what I was going to be put through in order to recover and whether I thought it would be worth it. Well, because I was unable to lift my martini glass to my lips (that's practically the definition of very serious), of course it was worth it. I might also add that Dr. Wodicka is a sports doctor specialist with a fellowship in a well-recognized sports orthopedic institute. So if one can trust the multimillion dollar shoulders and knees of professional athletes to him, I think I can trust mine to him too. Anyway my surgery went just fine. Matter of fact incredibly fine.
