I called Raul and his team to remove a 15-feet tall oak tree from my backyard. The tree was planted too close to a fence neighboring the house next door. Its roots had seriously over grown, visible from the ground surface, likely to intrude pipes if not taken cared. Earlier this summer I bought a house with 14 redwoods in the backyard. I know nothing about how to care for them, and the edges of some of them started turning brown. I panicked, and called Raul. He came out the next day and I was relieved when he told me they all looked great. He had no concerns--all that stress for nothing. And even though I pretty much wasted his time by showing off my 14 perfectly healthy trees, he was really nice about it. He assured me that he could see new growth, and that they were spaced appropriately. Since he wouldn't even let me pay him for the consultation, the least I can do his recommend him to anyone that needs tree help! Today, I had my 45 foot Valley Oak removed from the side of my home by Raul and his team. Raul helped me in applying for a tree removal permit from the County of Sacramento. We made a good team. I was in complete amazement how professional and courteous the team was in the removal. The cleanup was spotless. After grinding up the tree, they hand raked all of the excess branches and leaves from the lawn and then use the leaf blower to remove any excess from the lawn. You would never know they were here. Raul's quote was better than any of the other 2 quotes but I had decided to use him before the other quotes were in because he seemed genuine, personable and honest. Couldn't have been happier with Raul and the service he provided! He came out after just a few days after we contacted him to trim our neighbors "trees" that were over the fence by 12 feet, keeping our fruit trees from being able to grow. Upon arrival, he informed me that they weren't even trees.... They are the forever loathed privets. They grow fast and completely were overtaking our yard, not to mention the flowers attract a ton. Of bees and cause horrible allergies for my whole family. As one might expect, the neighbor had zero interest in maintaining her completely overgrown shrub. And every time I tried to trim it, I was met with hostility. To avoid problems, I hired Raul for the job to ensure it was done correctly without causing any harm to these awful "trees" that my neighbor clearly enjoys. As one would expect, when Raul began working, the neighbor came out and tried to stop the process. Raul was incredibly kind to her and ensured her that he would be sure to trim in a way that would still give her the privacy she wants. As much as I would have loved to do what we wanted the way we wanted, Raul talked to her and to me about doing it in a way that both parties would be happy with. Now, did I want to pay for a service that was accommodating her and her trees that were a problem on MY property?? Absolutely not. But I appreciated that Raul had no skin in the game and was able to do it in a way that worked for us both. We needed 6 trees trimmed at 2 homes. Some quotes we got were from unlicensed people and some were licensed landscapers with trailers to haul limbs away. Raul has a tree service license and insurance so we felt safer hiring him to perform dangerous work on our property and he has a wood chipper which makes cleaning up faster. Raul and his crew got called for our tree emergency as our huge tree had a massive limb breaking off (and was leaning toward our house). Out of multiple calls to multiple "24 hr emergency service" businesses, only one called back, and because he couldn't do it, he called Raul to see if he could. Raul showed up after dark to assess tbe situation, and once he was sure it was stable, came out the very next morning to ensure it would remain a safe situation. On the day they were supposed to be closed, they spent an entire day working their hearts out to make sure it was taken care of. Raul came out during the January 2023 "bomb cyclone" high-wind and drenching rain storms California experienced after the New Year to evaluate a large backyard pine tree's thick trunk that had loosened from its root ball due to the combination of saturated ground and the high wind gusts we were endlessly being hit with. The tree trunk had started to lean into my neighbor's home's eave, scraping shingles off the peak whenever a big wind gust hit the tree's canopy and caused it to sway. He determined it was in imminent danger of falling, and needed to be removed as soon as possible. His team came out as scheduled a few days later (despite the weather still being intense and them being swamped with work during the storms) and did a terrific, very organized removal over a period of several hours, thankfully keeping the tree from falling onto my neighbor's home, and relieving both of us from that concern. I also noticed every person on Raul's team was friendly and worked well together as a coordinated team, and they did a thorough cleanup and removal of the tree's debris by day's end.
