My husband came here to get his truck fixed. We had no intentions of getting this through insurance so we were looking for a good deal. We have used Apollo in the past but he always quotes half the time frame he actually takes to fix anything. We went with this quote bc it was the middle of the road in pricing. We got the vehicle back in the exact time frame quoted. However, they gave us the wrong keys which we didn't realize only bc my husband never uses a keychain. (go figure.. there are several males that do this). We had to return to do the exchange. Felt bad for the other party who still needed their vehicle. Will update in a few months but damage was repaired with a new quarter panel (when is it not). read more

Let me preface by saying I did not have my vehicle repaired by Raven Auto Body, but have had an extensive experience with Walter, who I believe is the manager or owner. Son was in an accident and needed his vehicle towed to a shop. I figured Raven AB was right next to my auto mechanic so chose to have the vehicle towed there. As you can suspect, the insurance companies began to squabble and negotiate and all the while the car sat at Raven AB. Walter was incredibly helpful, talked me through the insurance process, was understanding that the vehicle was sitting, and made as many accommodations as possible. After what was the better part of two months, Walter contacted me and asked that I made arrangements to either have the vehicle repaired or moved, which was completely understandable. After all, they do need to do business and the vehicle was parked right in a spot that was likely needed. I showed up to move the vehicle and Walter had the car battery charging and had taped up all the loose parts and helped secure the hood. Like I said, I can't speak to the actual work, but as far as customer service, knowledge of insurance processes, and friendliness, you really can't go wrong. I don't hope for my own vehicle to need body work, but if it should be necessary I will be going to Raven AB for the work. read more

My car is quite the curb finder and I had trouble with my bumper the night before. I took my car to Carmax to ask if I would be able to make the drive to Dallas, and they told me I could.... I was almost out of round rock when the plastic under my bumper/engine came loose and was dragging beneath me on 135. I turned in to the closest auto body shop I could. Thank god it was Ravens! Walter, the owner, and Kyle stopped what they were doing to help me. It took no more than 5 minutes and they didn't even charge me for the trouble. After I met an accident and desperately needed to get the car door fixed, I visited several auto body shops before I found Raven auto body on yelp. Because of his honesty opinion and the work that he promised to deliver, i made my decision to hand over the key. The car door got fixed after two weeks, and it was beautifully done, nobody noticed it was damaged before. Recently I got car problem again, when AAA asked do I have any preferred repair shop, "Raven auto body" I told the AAA lady. Raul immediately recognized me when I stepped in the store when the car towed. after he looked at the car, again, he provided his most honest opinion to me, either changed the splash guard or repair it. He is strongly recommended me go for the 2nd option and don't waste the money unless I wanted to. Of course, I went with his recommendation. After waited for some time, he came into the office and told me he is going to repair my car for FREE!!! I felt so warm and so touched!!! Owner was rude and said he had no intention of working with me on my auto insurance claim stating "I don't get involved in insurance, that is between you and your insurance company". Could you imagine if the healthcare industry had this attitude? Pretty much made it clear he did not want my business. Would not pre order parts for my scheduled repair causing me to need to pay out of pocket for the additional days my car would be in the shop not being worked on because insurance will only provide a rental car while the vehicle is being worked on. Had no interest in assisting or providing information to make the claim go smoothly, and didn't seem to care that I would end up paying out of pocket for a rental car that should have been covered by my auto insurance. After three trips into his shop trying to get my car repaired decided to go somewhere else and fortunately found a shop willing to work with me. Beware if you are having work done through an auto insurance claim, because he doesn't really care to assist you through the process. read more

This was an awesome experience and real money saver. I needed to replace a broken side view mirror casing on my Chevy Silverado. Initially I went to the dealer and was given an absolutely unbelievably price. Then the serviceman looked up the part, which was in stock, and lowered the unbelievable price to ridiculous. I think thats part of the game. A friend at a nearby auto repair shop, E and T Automotive, that does honest work at a fair price recommended Raven. Walter was straight forward and explain the dealer was actually replacing parts that didn't need replacing. Additionally I could see the dealer's price for the side view mirror and time for labor were over inflated. Bottom line: to replace the broken mirror casing would be $289 not the $470 quoted by the dealer. They ordered the part. I dropped it off in the morning and it was done that evening before closing. I love this place. They are the best!!!!! In 2006 I purchased a Chrysler Town and Country Mini van Touring edition. This comes with a moon roof. Thank goodness that it does not rain that often in Austin but when it does the person sitting in the passenger seat of my van needs to have an umbrella. I took it in to the dealership numerous times and they said it was due to dirt in the drainage tubes. I would have them blow out the tubes. For nine years I have had to deal with water pouring in through the passenger grip bar whenever it rains or I go through a car wash. I have spent $$$$$$ having the drainage tubes blown clean. I was at my wits end so My mechanic recommended I take it to Raven Auto Body. To say the least I was not very hopeful as no one was able to find or fix the source of the leak. Walt and his staff were persistent and they found the source of the leak had nothing to do with the drainage tubes but was caused by an improper seal in one corner of the sunroof. They found and fixed the problem. For nine years the dealership was unable to find the cause of the leak and fix it. One visit to Raven Auto Body and presto - problem solved. Everyone I dealt with at this shop were friendly, understanding, helpful and courteous . They have my business and I would not hesitate to refer my friends to them. read more
