After getting swiped on the side in a parking lot, my husband went to Jose to get an estimate today. We figured it might need to be repainted, but it turned out to be marks from the tire. Jose cleaned it off with a special cleaner free of charge! We were so relieved we didn't have to deal with insurance. I had gone to him last year to fix a rear bumper. I keep bringing Jose difficult problems that aren't going to make him much money. But, he's always good natured and offers good advice. Previously, I wanted a paint blemish fixed on my 1969 Z/28. He said, "Yeah, I can do it but it'll cost you an arm a leg for me to match that color and you can't see that blemish unless you know where it is and look for it, so don't fix it." Impressed with his honesty, I bring him this; I have a 21 year old Mazda pickup that had bad paint on the hood and cowl and some plastic graphics on the side that were slowly coming off. I spoke to Jose and with the understanding that I wasn't going to show this on the lawn at Pebble Beach, just looking for a 20 foot truck, he came up with an economical solution. I don't normally write a review, but this time I really want to. I was referred to Jose three years ago. First visit was because other auto shop told me my engine leaked. After some diagnosis, Jose told me the oil residue was from the last engine replacement a couple of years ago. Two years ago, I scratched my front bumper by accident. Other places quoted me $1000+ but Jose only charged me a few hundreds to do a painting job! The price and good work impressed my coworker who gave me a ride at no time. She immediately saved Jose's contact and referred to other people lots of times afterwards. Today I took a friend to Jose for two small scratches on her car. Jose is such an honest guy that he told us to buy some touch-up paint from dealership then fix up by ourselves. I don't see many reviews for this place, maybe we take for granted of Jose's good work. They took care of custom bumper and installed it like a factory one. Made it look better then I could have, even though they forgot numerous body fasteners, didn't drill holes to mount bumper on fender wells, and just cut the front bumper like someone didn't know what they were doing. See all attached pics to verify. Yeah, he is a nice guy but you probaly need to watch your workers a little closer and get someone to do quality control on work coming out. And almost forgot, when I showed him a flaw in the paint, he told he that he backs his workmanship 100%, but why even let this leave your shop. So just double check their work before it leaves his shop. read more

I stopped by Jose Flores to see about getting my front bumper repaired. Turns out I really didn't need it fixed. There was a piece that had popped out. Rather than charge to fix it, Jose just popped it back in. IMO Jose is a stand up guy and instead of charging for an easy fix, he did it gratis. Def will use Jose going forward. Jose is a secret. He does not advertise. I found him because my mechanic takes his cars here for body work and painting. Jose really knows toyota products well. He used to work for Charles Maund. He gets all his business from customer recommendations. He works with insurance companies and people that just pay out of pocket. He is honest as they come and will fight for you if the insurance company says "well, it is totaled...." His work is really good and very affordable. If you pay out of pocket, he will do the best he can to save money. He is a wizard at painting. A true artist. I have brought two cars here and he has done a great job in both instances. The problem is his shop is difficult to find. It is among a dozen other auto body shops. His shop is at the end of the street on the right-hand side. I'm a repeat customer for Jose - he should have a lot more reviews on here! He did a great job after someone sideswiped me, and was super nice, and attentive to what I needed. I could take the other 3 and roll them up into a new one for me, so you he's also consistent! Like another reviewer, I have a Miata, a '93. Jose was recommended to me by the guys at Auto Specialists (John and Corkeys, re-branded ) and he lived up to their recommendation. This is actually the second time he's worked on my car, and both times he has not only been more reasonable and helpful than the bigger guys, but he's also made special effort to make the car look great. Mine was a challenge, since, with the older existing paint, it would be really difficult to match the surrounding panels, and the shop recommended by the insurance wanted to charge me an exorbitant amount to repaint and blend enough to keep the repair from really standing out. Jose worked with me to get to a fair price for the needed work, and with a bit of touch-up, made the whole car look better than it was before the wreck. I ask a lot of questions, and Jose and his people were courteous and helpful the entire time, The quality of the paint job was great, as good as (or better) than any I've seen from a larger place, and Jose was doing the painting himself. I think he really cares about doing great work every time, and makes a special effort to go the extra mile. I will definitely go to him the next time I need any body work done. read more

They do fantastic work, my car looks like new. Had a front-end collision and so the radiator and some of the other parts near the engine were pushed towards the engine. The original quote was to replace those parts, but he was able to pull the frame out and did not have to replace those parts afterall. So, he didn't charge me for the parts. He even kept the car a few days to check for leaks. So I ended up paying $700 less than the original quote. Great prices and service... they are perfectionists!
