I ended up at Gerber because it was a Geico Xpress Repair shop and my preferred shop was booked I don't have many issues with the body work, paint or wheel reconditioning. That was fine, or has been fine so far. I'd say communication was "OK". Getting these guys on the phone later in the afternoon can be a challenge and they will give you a runaround. At one point I was working directly with Toyota Brand Engagement due to a parts delay, and even Toyota had issues getting Gerber on the phone. Main issue seems for me is that a lot of the reassembly work is rushed. I went to pick up my truck and noticed the automatic liftgate wasn't working. And like this wasn't hard to figure out. There was a big flashing warning on my dash. They took the car back and I waited an hour. Apparently one of the sensors hadn't been plugged in, but now it was and everything was working. I laughed it off - more happy than anything I got my truck back.But yeah it was weird. Couple days later I noticed that one of the LED bed lights hadn't been properly seated. It was actually sticking out one side. I was able to pop it back in with my hand. And one of the stem caps on my tires was missing (which I replaced myself). Nothing "major" but definitely a lack of attention to detail. Then the tail light they had replaced completely failed (no light, no blinker, and no brake light). They had mostly OEM parts, but this was labeled A/M, and that's exactly why it failed. I also found that the Rear panel was missing fasteners and the bumper had slight fitment issues that weren't super noticeable. And a wire harness that was barely secured. Toyota did the diagnostic and the tail light Gerber installed was defective. And recommended Gerber replace it instead of paying $800 out of pocket. Toyota was chill enough fix the missing fasteners for free though. Took it over to Gerber that day and J ran out all fidgety when I mentioned I had Toyota do the diagnostic, and said they'd order a new tail light, and it should be in the next day. Of course they'd call me.... ... I was the one that had to call. Of course no tail light because tomorrow was B.S. That's what I mean by communication. They'll tell you anything to get you out of their office and just go dark and insist they'll call you. Maybe. After a couple days, I ended up calling Toyota and ordering an OEM tail light with a real ETA of 1 to 3 days. Gerber finally called to complain because I gave them a bad CS survey. Not even to tell me that my tail light was in. And just whined about my insurance and all the hard work the did? This was a subpar experience that cost me an extra $800 and most importantly time better spent else where. I don't care if the repairs are free, I will not ever go back here. If you are a Geico customer and need collision repair, I would avoid this place and go to Caliber. read more

I got rear ended a while back (tragic), and the insurance company sent me here. I didn't really have any expectations other than my bumper being replaced, but I'm soooo happy it worked out this way. Not only was the service excellent (down to the sweetest reception staff), but they also vacuumed out my car and cleaned the outside.. I think they also straightened out my front license plate which was not a result of said accident. Additionally, they arranged a shuttle for me to the local Enterprise AND finished the repairs early all the while keeping me in the loop. If, for whatever reason, I need additional work done I'll be stopping here again. Seriously zero complaints and only good things to say. I drove my car off their lot and home to my driveway. When I got out of my car I heard beep, beep, beep 5 times. I couldn't figure out what was going on. I got back in my car and it was completely dead. I was shook up and confused as to what was going on. Gerber Collision as for a review and I didn't give them a good review, because when I took my car to them it had no issues except someone rammed into me. The next morning Gerber Collision sent two men to figure out what happened. It was my battery! They jump started my car, took it to Auto Zone, got me a new battery and brought me back a running car. EDIT: I am leaving my original review below but make making an update to share my further experience. In the time since my original review, I have used Gerber 2 more times. Once for a hit and run to my wife's Lexus GX460 and then again for a comprehensive claim on my Lexus ES350. Both times I chose to have my car towed all the way from downtown to this shop because I trust them. Last week I had one of the most traumatic days of my life as I was involved in an incident where while I was not at fault, a dog lost its life. As a dog owner and lover I was extremely upset. My car was not drivable and I had to make a quick decision on where to send the car and the first thing that popped in my head was Gerber. So an hour after the incident I find myself in the lobby of Gerber with no transport and trying to start a claim with my insurance. The lady at the front desk (I believe her name was Dana) was incredibly kind and thoughtful. As I was on the phone with insurance she brough over a pen and paper, and later a note stating Gerber would get me a ride if needed. The personal touch on such an awful day was so very appreciated. Noel the manager was great. He personally reached out to the Enterprise manager to explain the situation and help get me into a car without having to wait 1-2 hours on my insurance to send the assignment over. Multiple went above and beyond to help me at a very low moment. While I have not yet had this 3rd car repaired as it just occurred, they did excellent work on my prior 2 vehicles so I am expecting no different. I dropped my vehicle of on Monday morning with damage to the bumper and fender requiring body work and repainting. They had it ready for pick up the next day! John was my point of contact for the repair to my vehicle. He did a great job keeping my updated with the status of my vehicle. Heather at the front desk was very helpful getting my repair reservation prepared and checking me in and out. The repair to the vehicle was fantastic, can't tell it was ever in an accident. My car is painted with Infiniti's "Midnight Black" paint, which is an option only available on the RedSport 400 models, and they matched it perfectly. On top of all this, they fully detailed the interior of vehicle during its extremely brief stay. I'm still not sure how they fit so much great work into so little time. At first glance, Gerber Collision and Glass seemed like a great shop. Dropping off my car was fairly easy, and the staff seemed friendly enough. They repaired my car in just a week, which I initially thought was impressive. Picking up my car was also straightforward. However, the real problems began once I got home. Under the sunlight, I noticed that the paint job was absolutely horrible. The paint felt like sandpaper, and there were blemishes on the surface that weren't there before. It quickly became apparent why they completed the job so quickly--they don't seem to care about the quality of their work and are more focused on getting cars in and out as fast as possible. I had to take time out of my day again to drop off my car for them to fix their mistakes. This meant arranging for a ride and more inconvenience, all while they still charged me $3,000 for the repairs. When I returned to drop off my car, I was met with nothing but excuses. To make matters worse, my car key's remote was left with stains that won't come off, and when I mentioned it to the owner, I was completely ignored. They also gave my car a car wash but the wash left scratches all over my car's paint. Now, I'll have to spend another $700 on paint correction just to fix the damage caused by their carelessness. When I came back to pick up my car after the second visit, I was shocked to see that it was still in poor condition. The blemishes weren't fully addressed, and there was some sort of compound left all over my car that no one bothered to clean off. I've since learned I'm not the only one who has experienced this type of poor workmanship at Gerber Collision and Glass. Many others have had to bring their cars back multiple times to get issues fixed under their so-called "warranty." If you're thinking about bringing your car here, be prepared for a huge headache, multiple trips back and forth, and a lack of quality in their work. Save yourself the trouble and look for a shop that values their customers and takes pride in delivering quality repairs. read more

We had a terrible experience with Gerber, the auto repair shop recommended by our insurance company, for a minor front-end accident involving our 2021 Chevy Traverse. We dropped off our car on October 16th and waited almost two months before picking it up on December 11th after paying the $1,000 deductible. It went back to Gerber from 12/22/23 - 2/6/24. However, even after all that time, the car was not correctly fixed to the pre-accident condition. We picked up the vehicle this afternoon and brought it to a trusted Chevrolet dealership that has previously worked on our vehicles. As of tonight, the advisor at this new dealership immediately noted many faults and shoddy work that Gerber performed. An exposed foam impact bar is visible through the grill; a plastic deflector is missing to direct air to properly cool the vehicle, and exposed wire looms in places they shouldn't be. The advisor who looked at this vehicle with us tonight immediately spotted all the incorrect things and has them properly notated. Codes were also pulled at drop-off, and there are problem codes in the vehicle right now. we have the printout (short to ground, wiring issues, body control module failures, voltage errors). Photos were included as there was also an identical vehicle at the dealership that has not had any body work done, so it is a factory comparison of what it SHOULD look like. Our vehicle does not look like it did before the accident, and having a 1:1 clone to compare it to clearly showcases the lack of quality work from Gerber on our vehicle. I would never recommend this shop to anybody, friend or foe. Also, as I have noticed from reading almost all the reviews on this location, many "problems" end up with Noel R. (manager). However, after our experience, I doubt any of these issues will be solved. It has taken Progressive to step in and offer to do the right thing to ensure our vehicle is back to how it was before the accident and that my wife and family are safe in this car. Noel and Gerber have had multiple chances over the past five months to make this situation right, and we have attempted to work with them many times. Still, no resolution was ever reached, and that's a sad reality of this claim that could have easily been resolved back in December but was pushed further back and handled poorly. Recently got rear ended and ended up here since this place was a nearby Geico Auto Repair Xpress location. I dropped it off on a Thursday and got my car back the following Tuesday. The end product looked really good and they were fairly thorough in finding the parts that were damaged. My car also came back not only fixed, but cleaner than it was when I left it. The service was great! Julio was the one in charge of my vehicle and he walked me through everything they did. Julio and the staff were always in a good mood and really pleasant to work with. We had two cars damaged in the hail storm early last year. Gerber Collision And Glass said they had XX people in line but would be able to get to us later in 2021, we were in line. Check in later that year after hearing nothing Oct/Nov and they said parts are being delayed, and it would be Feb/March - and we were 12th on the list. This is reasonable as it was the time cargo ships were stacking up, so we waited. Come May we go back in and they say "That they stopped working on hail damage claims because they had too much other work to do." I asked them - why I wasn't notified if we were no longer "in line" and they weren't planning on fixing our cars. (They didn't notify myself or my insurance in any way) They said: "Do you know how many people are on that list? Its too big"... I told them that was irrelevant and we were customers and should be notified if they no longer planned to help us,, we were waiting in line. The manager got snippy with me and told me they would try to fit me in soon. 3 Months later and still no word, so I contacted my insurance and moved to Caliber. We have both cars scheduled in a time slot to be fixed within a day of moving. Long story short, I would urge you to be suspect of Gerber Collision and their claims, and not to use them if you want appropriate customer service. We are very unhappy with how they ignored their due diligence to customers that were waiting on them to do work. There are potentially hundreds of others on their Hail list that don't even know they are being ignored. If they had kept us up to date/told us they would no longer help us this would be a non issue, but they wasted a huge amount of our time. read more

I took my care in after a collision. The other party's insurance paid for the damages. I was assigned to Angel which assured me they will have my car in two weeks.They lived up to their promise and my car was ready on time. I was very happy with the outcome until I drove to work that night and noticed the repaired side was coming apart. I took my car in and did not hear anything but excuses from Angel. They told me bring it back two days later which I did and they supposedly put the parts back together. Two days later the parts were falling apart again and I took my car in and again Angel gave me nothing but bogus excuses that parts are after market and that's why they don't fit together right which made me really upset. It was at that time GM Noel walked in and took over. He told Angel the head light has to changed to OEM part otherwise things would fall apart. They then ordered the head light and two weeks later I took my car in to get the light put on. The same night after I took my car back while driving to work I noticed the new light was facing down ward therefore not shining on the road that Almost made me to have a wreck. Again I took my car in and one of the guys adjusted the light and told me it can not be adjusted better. The light still not right. Today I noticed the same parts coming loose but this time I can see the parts were glued together and the recent Texas heat made the glue come apart. I went back to show the car to GM Noel but I was told I could not see him and need to make an appointment. Then they told me to leave my phone number and Noel will contact me. I brought my car in to Masters because I scraped a pole trying to park in a spot at the parking garage at my apartments... and totally misjudged. The pole was fine. My car wasn't. Geico offered me to go here or Calliber and I've used Calliber before due to another incident back in 2015.. but that's a story for another day. My appointment was made, I came in and was greeted warmly by the receptionist Dana. I met with Julio who is the magician. He works magic. No smoke and mirrors here though. I was walked through every step of the process to get my car back up to par and more. I was given a rental, and since Geico works with these guys there was a car waiting. They got to work on my car immediately and I was back with my car within 3 days. The work is phenomenal. The car door ding is GONE. The scrape you never would've known was there! Also they cleaned my car and more. I could write a novel on how impressed I am by the care that Julio, Noel and their team put towards making my experience the best and made to feel like I was a priority and not another job. I highly recommend this place to anyone needing any repairs done. They will bring your car back to you looking better than the day you bought it. Great quality work. I came home to visit my family and had a damaged side mirror due to someone driving an RV. I was able to bring my car in immediately for a quote. Julio was very helpful. They ordered my mirror from Ford which was in stock. They painted the part quickly on the next business day and had it installed in a very short time. I also had an error message which they fixed with no charge by disconnecting and reconnecting the car battery. I was very thankful since I could now see my mileage number on the front panel. I'll keep a long story short. They did a solid job on the repairs after it was in a multi car accident. After I got it back ,my car had some issues and I brought it back in and they gave me a loaner car and took care of the issues and went above and beyond as well to make sure my car was in good condition and gave me some tips about my car and how to maintain it. My parking light went out almost immediately after I picked up my vehicle, but it's not a big deal. Noel, Julio, and the receptionist were all professional. I brought my car here a month ago and was told it had life time warranty. I noticed that the part that was "fixed" was messed up again. I called and asked about bringing it in. I spoke to Mark and he was telling me it couldn't possibly be the same thing. He was rude and made me feel like I didn't know what I was talking about even raised his voice a little.
