Today I went into Berli's to get an estimate of damage to my car. I went into a building and when I am came out I found that someone had hit my car and ran...no insurance information...no contact information left for me. It was very disappointing to have someone do such a thing, but unfortunately there are some terrible people in this world. Berli's staff member reviewed and took pictures of the damages. He will provide an estimate on Monday. Right now, I do not know the full cost of the damages. I truly believe in karma...when you do something bad to someone that badness comes back to you sooner or later. Berli's does awesome work, and if you need bodywork on a Lamborghini, Rolls Royce, or cherished high tech pet car, it's the only place in Texas a knowledgable car nerd takes their toy. Mine is a Nissan GT-R, and they did the following above and beyond: 1. With an expensive high tech car the parts cost a lot more, but painting is painting, so Berli's makes a lot of money from the difference in wholesale and retail prices on parts. My insurance was scared to touch the car, so wrote a big cheque and walked, I of course took the car to Berli's anyway and paid cash. I got about 15% of the parts heavily discounted, and Joe Berli personally declined my offer to pay the margin on it as a fee. 2. A lot of people get wrapped around the axle about the fact Berli's charge a little more for labour, but on a high end car it's less than 1% difference, it has a valid purpose in allowing them to hire the best people, and is irrelevant. Most insurance companies happily pay it and if it's not it's pocket change for an owner of a $100k car and more than worth it. Don't be penny wise and dollar foolish. 3. Berli's rendition of their version of multi stage Super Silver is far superior to Nissan's .... Nissan hand assembles the GT-Rs at Tochigi, but the bodyshells are painted on the same mediocre line as the Maximas, Berli's asked my permission to paint the entire car and it took me 300 milliseconds to agree, having the whole car painted with love, care and pride by hand by a human whose job is making art with his work is far superior to a paint robot. If you have any car you really care about, even your deceased grandma's old Buick, taking it to Berli's is worth the trip even if you have to pay that tiny $100 out of pocket. You will not be disappointed. Their service writers are similarly awesome to work with, they work with email with rapid and thorough responses, and are just as excellent as the shop folks. After 3 tries with the other Certified Mercedes Collision Center in Austin, I brought it to Berli's. The other party could not get the color or finish correct on our new matte MB, which was hit in a parking lot. Chad and his team were incredibly detailed when reviewing the process and expectations to refinish a matte vehicle. While he knew the backstory, he spent way more time with me than he needed to during this step. I appreciated this as the other shop kept delivering a substandard product with very little context on why they couldn't get it right. After dropping the vehicle off, they called me a few days later to come up to review the test panels. The painter joined and shared how the factory paint formulation was not correct. Therefore, they used a computer to photograph and help mix up a new formulation. He also used his decades of experience to ensure the pigment and gloss level were correct. After the discussion and review, I agreed with their sentiments and had them move forward with painting the new parts. What they delivered was a product 99%+ what the factory did. Honestly, it does not get any better than that - especially for a matte finish (cannot blend with other panels). Unless you knew it was refinished, you would not be able to tell which panels were treated. More than that, they ensured every little detail was covered...down to replacing a couple of non-MB screws in the wheel wells which the other shop switched in. If it makes any consolation, this is where all of the Aston Martin's, Maserati's, Lamborghini's, Bentley's, and Ferrari's in Austin go for collision repair. In my opinion, if you have a really nice car or simply one you care deeply about, go here. They've earned a customer for life. read more

I am very very meticulous about how my car is kept. I even wash and wax it myself. To my frustration, my car was lightly rear ended by another car, resulting in a scratch and a small crack in the rear bumper. The car was until then immaculate, with no imperfections. I was extremely pleased with the service I had at Berli's. Michael Tran, particularly, was extremely responsive and helpful during the process dealing with challenges getting the other driver's insurance to cover everything as well as ensuring everything looked perfect all the way through delivery. I only went to get an estimate, but the staff didn't seem to take me seriously. Once helped, the service adviser kept coming back out to ask me questions about my car to prepare the estimate- disorganized. I was left unsure what I was waiting for for about 20-30 minutes. When I asked about how paint match would be assured and the repainting process used, service adviser appeared annoyed by my question and could not answer. I asked to reuse a customized badge as it was not damaged, service adviser told me they'd leave it in the cup holder and use a new badge totally not listening to what I was asking. If something isn't damaged, why should it be replaced? Bu$ine$$. Accident is fully covered by insurance, so it's not like I'm worried about cost, but the principle of it. Seems like they do quality work, but they did not earn my business based on their lackadaisical approach towards me. Update: I was contacted by management after posting my review. My car is something I really enjoy, and when having work done to it, I'd like to make sure it's being handled by someone who can appreciate that. While the apology is nice, it does not change my decision in going elsewhere. All other autobody shops providing estimates were spot on with customer service. I had the best experience at Berli's! I brought my car in for a couple of separate incidents, after a referral by Subaru of Georgetown. I have a 2017 Subaru STi and I'd been to other shops that did a lackluster job. Berli's uses the highest quality paint and parts and is worth the trek from Austin to Pflugerville, hands down. They gave my car back with an exquisite detail, looking like I'd just driven it off the lot. Poor workmanship, slow turnaround and lack of attention to details. Berli's kept my car for more than 6 weeks to repair damages to the quarter panel, bumper and suspension. The exterior looked ok from a few feet away when I first picked it up, but once I started inspecting closely I noticed multiple scratches, oversprays and paint damages all over the places that they touched. And the steering wheel was crooked. After taking the car back TWICE, they were able to address most of the problems, but a few still remain and at this point I just don't have any confidence that they will be able to fix it without causing additional problem. Although I will say that they did a good job matching the paint, and the management have been helpful throughout this process, so 2 stars for that. read more

Hands down the best body shop in Austin. They're a little on the expensive side (they've always worked out a great deal with my insurance providers) but have repaired multiple cars for me and delivered absolutely beautiful work. They took my '93 Supra Turbo with severe back end damage and restored it to like-new condition. So finely done, with an almost total rear body replacement, that an inspector could not tell it had ever been touched when it was sold. (I did disclose the information afterwards and he was shocked) They repaired my '05 X5 after a tree fell on it and it looked better than it did before the ordeal. 100 thumbs up! When my brand new Lexus was hit by a tire flying across the highway I was devastated. Lexus of Austin recommended 3 different body shops and I researched to learn that Berli's was the best. Steve was extremely helpful and made accommodations for my schedule. I had to leave town and Berli's held my finished car until I returned two weeks later. This is a new review to replace the old one I posted a few weeks ago. Previously due to a gross miscommunication between myself and an estimator that worked at Berli's I wrote a negative review. This review immediately caught the attention of Berli's GM and he made it a point to personally contact me to get to the bottom of the situation as well as to apologize about any misunderstandings. I was impressed with the sincere attempt and listening skills of the GM (Chad) but nevertheless I was still a bit doubtful. In any case, Chad informed me that he personally used my review to discuss customer service with his crew and thanked me for the review since he would have never found out about it had I stayed silent. At no point did Chad attempt to avoid my complaints or make excuses. He simply listened and apologized and asked me to give them another chance if I ever needed any future body work. As fate would have it, my rear bumper was scraped by a driver and needed to be repaired. Frankly, I was hesitant to risk going through with this process again with Berli's but I decided to give them another try. I am glad I did. Not only did I receive professional reception and consistent timely communication, but I also received transparent costs breakdowns and what I believed to be fair treatment and pricing. As for their work quality, well... I must admit, the craftsmanship and attention to details is impressive and very high quality as many of the other reviews have indicated. I am a reasonable person and I believe that if anyone makes a mistake, he should have the chance to rectify his error. Berlin's has done more than this and won back my trust. Got in a minor accident with my vehicle and I did not want to take it just anywhere. I went and shopped for body shops to see who is going to do this the correct way and the best work. After a few different commercial places, I decided to stop in at Berli's and was happy to see that they had a very upscale clientele and that they would take care of my vehicle the same way. Orlando took us through the shop and explained what was going to happen in detail. It was this, that made me happy to see that my car was going to be in good hands. The car was promptly finished and it came out looking factory new and detailed. I was so happy that it was easy to take care of through my part and letting them deal with the insurance. Though they are not affiliated with any insurance company, they were able to assist in handling every part of the claim through the other party's insurance provider. I got into a fairly nasty accident with my Black 05 Porsche Boxster S. This required the replacement of three panels on the passenger side and extensive paint work. Although most are good, I was very apprehensive because I am much more nit picky than most of the general public. After roughly four weeks of work, my car was restored to perfection. Brand spanking new, AMAZING auto wash.!!! I have a small sports car and the other washes never seem to get the front rims washed well, as the fender wells are larger in the back, and it miss judges it IDK LOL. This one is wonderful, the guys have a very nice auto body shop next door.Has lots of cleaning options. And gentle on your paint job. Or grab some quarters and spray it down yourself. Me giving any business 5 stars is not something to be taken lightly. To me 5 stars means there's nothing that can be improved and that the experience is the best it can get. Berli's gets 5 stars!!! I've had two different cars with 3 different issues taken care of by Berli's and everytime it was done to perfection. Their hourly rate is a few dollars more than what most insurance carriers will cover but it is well worth it. After the dealer had replaced the struts on my Aston Martin Vantage trunk, I noticed that trunk and the body did not line up correctly. My car is one of the most important things in my life. I worked hard, saved hard, and made smart decisions to be able to get myself my dream car. That got shattered when some uninsured, half brain hit me. Needless to say, Berlis did a fantastic job. They got my car done a little more than two weeks ahead of schedule and the damage looks like new. My only complaint would be that it looks like my car was left outside during rain, and now I have these water spots that I can feel on my hood and no matter how much I buff and wax, they don't come out.
