Seems like most people here are drinking beer, and these mostly are in bottles and cans like how a dive bar should. Also has a couple pool tables that somehow fit. The bar is pretty small but the coziness makes it charming though. Pretty clean. The place is dim so it's hard to know for sure. Got to mention for those who couldn't tell by the name that it's also pet friendly. It's usually dogs in here ironically. There's also a jukebox with a good collection of songs, and a few TVs for watching games or things.

Definitely had a superb night there though at least one time. A lot of hostel-people frequent it. There's crap jenga games which are boring as all fucking hell. They have popcorn which I don't care about but that some might find tasty/interesting (actually it is okay, but when I'm at a bar/pub/club I never feel like eating). Small standing tables and main pub. It's kind of half-way underground. Definitely not spectacular but they serve basically the only beer I like and I def. had an awesome frickin' time there at least once, so jolly good to that. The owner or manager or someone who seems to be there a lot recognized me by name which was, well, I guess rare/new/random but interesting. If I didn't have that one awesome time there, it would be 3, if they didn't serve fave beer (and I don't even really like beer, so it's doubly weird) it would be 2, but that occurred, and they do, so 4 I guess. (Likely Less Necessary Info) The only place I know of that serves my fave (and one of the only one's I like) beer: Rogue Ale. Met woman whom had easily the most magnificent breasts I had ever fondled, squeezed, sucked, and licked there. Talked a lot. Was in a zone. It was suitable for me being in a zone. Open till 4. Not grody like other 4am places. Definitely had a good time there (other times not so much, but that was related to more stuff about me instead of the actual place; the other times; I have been there over half a dozen times prob; anyways the other time I had been in some other countries and was prob a bit culture shocked and didn't want to be in chicago at the time and was fairly overwhelmed and started outside the bathroom for some reason). read more

I wish i could leave zero stars because whoever the white guy bartender is with a beanie and a beard who takes frequent cigarette breaks is either a RACIST or off lots of drugs or both. he got offended with how my signature looked and said if i want good service i need to have a good signature. That me and my friend need to leave and we are done for the night. Trust me, neither of us were intoxicated or acting rudely. We both try to be polite as we both have worked in food. Then the brown haired lady bartender with the glasses obeys whoever he is and ignores our service when all we asked for was 2 shots. How unprofessional and sad. He also called the female next to me the hard R word and told her to leave to. It is so sad and offensive, and I barely go out regardless so a terrible experience especially on my friends birthday. The bar closes at 4 am and it was 1:11, i dont think tequila shots are hard and especially when did my scribbly signature become a part of not being served? I have scribbled forever since I never was comfortable with my cursive. Other friends didn't believe me and went in, some friends didn't drink as they were the designated drivers and just minding their own business. 5 minutes later they were told to leave since they were not drinking although their friends were drinking. I wish i could give this place 0 stars. That is so unprofessional and will never be returning and that guy needs to get checked. It is sad my friends birthday had to be ended so soon. read more

This bar gets misunderstood a lot. It's not fancy, and they don't take bullshit. This bar has become my cheers, and through it, I've met amazing people and made so many new friends. Its a place to come, take a seat, talk, and have a good time. You can sometimes meet people that have been coming there since the 70's who have great stories. Some of the bartenders like Claire, Ashley, Kat, Bing, Ethan - I could name all of them - are amazing people. Claire is a beautiful soul, and has even become a friend of mine - plus will disco dance with you. Just don't be dicks to them, because trust me, you'll come back here and write a mad yelp review, because they will not be nice to you if you're not nice to them. Its a unique place that I have come to love mostly because of the people inside it. Don't be belligerent, don't go screaming around the bar (if you have to do that -- go outside or somewhere else), and don't be a sexist racist asshole. Other than that, I can guarantee you'll fall in love with Ravens too. read more

Three cheers for Claire booting out the loud, rude running group and shutting down their intentionally offensive, racist, misogynistic songs. They drive the regulars away every time they come in. When they're not here, Ravens is the grooviest place in town, with an amazing mix of people from all walks of life and all ages. You can have the most amazing conversations at this bar! My husband and I adopted this place as our regular hangout 6 years ago. We particularly love Saturday nights with Claire and Ashley and Sunday nights with Bing. read more
