What a wild, fortunate yet sad coincidence. He and his team were extremely compassionate and gently, respectfully supported me thru the entire process both times. Once Kiki had passed, the nurse helped me wrap her up and place her into her carrier. She walked me out to my car and offered me a big hug. Above and Beyond, for sure.

She is on medication for her blood pressure and has terrible anxiety when we leave her alone. I think she actually gained weight this last trip - which is incredible at her age! I just stopped going on vacations after that. :( Then I found Katy the K9 Keeper! Katy and her husband are so warm and welcoming, and they immediately make you feel like you and your pup are part of their family. The first time Roxy stayed with them, Katy knew I was worried about how she would do. She sent me photos and text updates during my trip--totally unprompted!--so my mind would be at ease and I could enjoy vacation. Roxy has stayed with them several times since then, and she's always SO excited when I pull in the driveway. There are always a few other fun dogs to play with, and they have a great backyard for ZOOMIES! They work with you to coordinate drop-off and pick-up times that are convenient for your schedule, and they have a frequent stay punchcard that you can use to earn free nights. I feel like this setup is 1000x better than the traditional boarding model. Now I can go out of town without worrying or feeling guilty about boarding my dog!

The puppy was aggressive toward the adult which was very concerning to us. As a last resort I decided that board and train was my only chance to save this puppy, and it did! In the 2 weeks since he has been home I can spot the precursor behavior to aggression and intervene, thank to Jon's ability to teach me how to better communicate with the puppy. Board and train is a big step emotionally and financially. While we have had experience with special needs dogs, I was over my head here. My first responsibility is to the existing dog, and the idea of surrendering a deaf puppy was so disheartening to me that I would have tried anything to avoid it. The bottom line here is this, Jon at Indy K9 saved this dog's life, there is just no other way to say it.

The staff at Ruff House Adventures did a thorough evaluation and asked detailed questions to understand our family's specific training needs: she's not the boss and she can settle down and be calm. Ruff House Adventures' trainers and entire staff helped my dog learn her place as a dog & that it's safe to mellow out. Most importantly they taught me, the owner, how to better understand my dog's triggers & find alternative ways of addressing her behavior issues. I look forward to the daily report cards which are available for a small add on fee. I can't imagine taking my doggo anywhere else.
