We always enter from the "access trail" side. It is a smaller parking lot but we like coming in from this side. Depending on what time you get there, you may have a slight wait time to park but it is usually pretty quick and efficient. We usually arrive before 8:30am and have had no problem finding a spot. There are I believe at least 2 handicap spots at this entrance. They also have bathrooms available that are always clean and kept up. At the main entrance, entering from (otter creek). There is a welcome center with information and a small gift shop. Before bringing a stroller we would always go on the trail through the park woods but now with our baby and taking a stroller we take the paved path which was just redone and is SO nice!!! Strollers and bikes are not permitted on the dirt path so keep that in mind. There is so much beauty to look at while enjoying a nice peaceful walk. Eagles, owls, deer, frogs, turtles, birds, and more creatures to look at all while visiting Radnor. It is a staple as a local to get outdoors and into fresh air. Great place to take kids or any family that is visiting or even a great place to go on a nice solo long walk.

Visited with my husband and 3 kids (ages 4, 3, and 20 months) on a holiday weekend around 9 a.m…read more There are two entrances -- we used the one off Franklin Rd. This parking lot is smaller, but we were surprised to find a spot easily. When we left around 10:45, there was a line of about 6 cars waiting, though cars seemed to move through fairly quickly. There is a nice bathroom at the top of the parking lot. From this entrance, you can also access the trail along the lake, though strollers and dogs are not allowed on that trail. We chose the lower paved trail instead (part of the mulch trail loop). It's wide -- almost road-sized -- and newly paved the entire way. It took about 15 minutes to reach the lake, and there's plenty more paved trail beyond that. We saw frogs, ducks, turtles, deer, an owl, and even a bald eagle. My kids stayed engaged the whole time. The trail was flat and easy for stroller pushing, and my older kids rode scooters without any issues. There were lots of families, dogs, and walkers out, but it never felt overcrowded. Overall, this is a great near-the-city option for getting young kids into nature without dealing with steep terrain. The other entrance off Granny White has the visitor center and a bit more parking.

Long Hunter State Park is such a gem. I ran the Couchville Loop, which is about a 2-mile loop, and…read moreit was perfect for an easy, scenic run. The trail is mostly flat with just a few small hills, so it feels very accessible for people of all ages and fitness levels. The views of the lake are beautiful, and the bridges you get to walk or run over add a really nice touch. I went in January when it was cooler, and it was not crowded at all, super peaceful and relaxing. Parking was free, which is always a win, and there are bathrooms and a water bottle refill station on site. There's also a park ranger station and a boardwalk that goes out to the lake (though it was closed when I went). Other visitors mentioned they sometimes see wild turkeys and other animals along the trail. No wildlife sightings for me this time, but still an amazing experience. If you're looking for a scenic, low-stress running or walking spot, this place is absolutely worth a visit!

I think he wanted to make the screaming match a physical altercation. He is old and cranky and needs to get out of working with the public. If you are researching the boat club you will see the claims they make about nice fleets, availability, and fun. And guess what? They are ALL TRUE. (When was the last time you got everything you were promised from a business? It's rare people.) We enjoy having a fun, exciting boat every weekend (and during the week too!), it's so nice to not be pigeonholed into one type of boat. Pontoon this week? Sure. Wakeboard and surf next week? Sounds like a plan. And all the toys are included, top of the line surfboards, wakeboards, tubes, you name it. Just keep up with your reservations and you will always get what you want. We have never been lacking a boat when we wanted one. The fleet is very well maintained and the boats are really nice; Mastrcraft, Tige, Supra, etc. The staff is amazing, they are so nice in the office and on the docks! So helpful, patient, and kind. If you enjoy trailering a boat to the crowded boat ramp, putting it in, hoping it starts, leaving early because you need to get it back on the trailer, etc then this isn't for you. If you like to just show up and go, never worrying about maintenance or unscheduled repairs and expenses, then run, don't walk, to the boat club. We have already made memories to last a lifetime with our kids and friends out on the water and can't wait to make some more next year!

However the shower in the…read morewater lodge didn't drain so we called the office and nobody answered so we had to ask someone to fix it for us and it still didn't work. The lodges also stunk a lot like sewer. The hours were not very good the pool hours were 11am-7pm. Also when the kids we're driving the golf car, one of the people staying in the campers decided to get their truck and a drive our kids and other kids off the road and we called people and the only thing that happened with security talk to them. Nothing happened. The lodge was also very dirty spiderwebs everywhere and lots of animal hair.

Late April, 2024/Tuesday to Wednesday. My husband and I stayed at this wonderful campground run by…read morethe US Army Corps of Engineers (Nashville District) in our Class B RV for one night. We made our reservation through www.recreation.gov (military affiliation not required), and only a few sites were unreserved. Even on a weekday in April, it's a popular place! There are roughly 60 sites, all with electricity and water but not sewer hook-ups at the sites. (there is a separate shared dump station). Prices range from $28-$32 with the more expensive sites being those that are waterfront (if you're lucky enough to snag one!) A discount is available for National Park Service Interagency Senior Lifetime Pass-holders. What's to like? Well-maintained, clean campground. In fact, you're given a trash bag upon arrival to encourage you to keep your site clean. On-site fun, including swimming and boating on the lake, as well as a playground. Friendly and helpful staff. Kudos to the gentleman at the Attendant Booth. A bathhouse with showers and laundry facilities. Benches with a water view to enjoy the sunsets. Some pull-through campsites. Good security. The gate is locked each night from 10 pm-6 am (although we were informed how to enter/exit if we needed to). Reasonable price. Also, Nashville is within 30 minutes. And, what's not to like? We were informed that skunks frequent the area, so you need to store food in approved containers. (We didn't see or smell any). We experienced high winds during our visit, so boating and/or swimming were out of the question. Also, Wi-Fi is not provided at this campground.

I was visiting High Tide Rides on a bachelorette party and was super impressed with the experience…read more We were picked up promptly by one of the staff via their mini shuttle and the drive was about 40 minutes from the lake. Upon arrival our shuttle driver helped take our food and drinks over to the pontoon where we met our driver for the pontoon for the few hours we were out. We drove to a side of the lake where it was extremely quiet and peaceful as we anchored down for a little bit and took out our donuts and other water devices. Our pontoon driver was awesome and interactive, taking professional photos for us and engaging in great conversation. People in TN sure are way more friendly than in other places! We got back to shore safely and overall had an incredible experience. Ain't nothing like a day on a lake! Would definitely recommend if you're in the area!

We stayed in site #18 and enjoyed ourselves very much. Our site wasn't next to the water because all of the water sites were booked, but every campsite looked really cool, with: a large round cement table with cement seats, a firepit, an outdoor grill, and a flat space for tent camping. The older gentleman camping nextdoor in the campsite next to us came over and gave us: wood, charcoal, and water bottles, because he said he was leaving the next day on his motorcycle and couldn't carry it all. He was very kind to us. Overall, great experience! Can't wait to return to Anderson Road Campground in the future when visiting Nashville, Tennessee!
