Kasey is super responsive and very efficient with how Kasey and Koy both run this amazing company. The baby shower was for 50+ plus people. So we opted with the grazing table. They offer so many options and most of them are easy to make completely vegan and that's what we did. The day of, Koy came at the scheduled time and got to work. I do have to apologize as I was mostly absent running around, setting up, getting the mother to be ready, etc.. When I came back to start greeting the guests, I was blown away with how beautiful the grazing table was. I mean, Koy does amazing work!! All of of the crackers, breads, fruits were so fresh and the vegan cheese??? The best! People were amazed that the cheese was vegan and that there were so many items to choose from. We appreciate the bamboo plates and wooden sporks, and we appreciate even more the minimal waste. That is very important to us. Thank you very much for the lovely spread. Ownership has changed, and yes, with new ownership come changes. But different doesn't automatically mean bad. My experiences with the current owner and staff have been positive, welcoming, and professional. The quality of the meat and products is still excellent, and this continues to be a market I'm happy to support. I also think it's worth remembering that small businesses are run by actual people. Taking over a long-standing neighborhood institution comes with the nearly impossible task of honoring what people loved about the old while also making the business your own. Comparing every interaction, employee, and decision to decades under the previous owner doesn't exactly give the new owner much of a chance. And as for staff changes, employees come and go for a hundred different reasons. Unless we personally know why someone left, it seems unfair to automatically turn that into a character judgment about the owner. I can only speak to my own experience, just like every reviewer should. Mine has been good. I'll continue shopping at Galvan's, supporting this local business, and judging it based on how I'm actually treated, not on whether it operates exactly the way it did 30 years ago. Still a fan.
