If a lack of attention to detail and poor customer service is what you're looking for...this place is for you. Note, this place is ran by a brother and sister. I've had a few suits tailored for myself and this is the first and last time I will order from suit club. Worst experience I have ever had. The initial process was simple. Made an appointment, the brother took my measurements and I selected my material. 6 weeks later the suit arrived. The pants arrived with a button to close which is not what I ordered. All the details we went over and he neglected to ask if I wanted a button on my pants. Clearly, every pair of pants on the display inside the store had NO BUTTON. Naturally I assume this is the same style I would receive. When I brought this up I was told this is the new default. Apparently, no one bothered to notify me. They were unapologetic. Never once did they say sorry or apologize for the inconvenience. Initially they wanted to charge me $100 to simply remove the button. The $100 was a "courtesy" offered at a 50% discount. After a lot of back and forth and persistence their tailor was eventually able to fix the problem (for free). This took an additional two weeks. Further inspection of the suit displayed poor attention to detail and with their customer service I'm not surprised. *Notice the amateur lining inside the suit in photo attached to review * Stitching on the coat is horrendous and sloppy. Presentation and outlook of the suit is purely regretful. How their business works is, they take your measurement and then outsource to a third party in Hong Kong to actually make the suit. Who they actually partner with is beyond me. I've read in a previous review this "dynamic duo" is leveraging off their fathers experience and relationships. I do not disagree. Of course, when probed they respond with everything looks great. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all cost. You're better off visiting Nordstrom Rack. Quality suits from this place is abysmal. As noted by someone else, some of these 5 star reviews look really fake/suspicious. Save yourself the hassle, headache, money and time. This is the place to make your next custom suit, sport jacket or shirt! They have an extensive selection of high quality suit and shirt materials and some amazing deals. You will need to make a combination of suits and shirts to get the best bang for your buck, but it's totally worth it. They also carry ties and pocket squares. Their suits come with a nice little surprise; the suit breast pocket lining also doubles as a pocket square! Basically they have everything but shoes and belts to make you look your best while you continue to climb your personal ladder of success! They are tucked away on the 4th floor of a building with construction currently going on in front of it, but once you get up there, the ambience is modern and sophisticated chic. The customer service is top notch; from Ali helping you select your suit or shirt material or the lining, buttons and design, to Kanchan or Vik measuring you and fitting your suit or shirt. They work patiently and cheerfully with you and will do as many fittings as are needed to get that perfect fit. They also have some expert tailors who can do things to a suit that I didn't think was possible, such as fix the shoulders! In addition, they can do alterations to your preexisting suits. Great place to go if you end up losing a bunch of weight from the latest fad diet. I usually don't take the time to do detailed reviews except for a great find such as this. I really wanted to like this place, but it fell flat and well short of my expectations. You walk in and it's a nice showroom, although I've never seen it busy. It's run by a brother and sister team that I think, more or less, leverages their father's experience, resources and contacts in the custom suit/clothier industry. I have my share of experience with custom suiting/shirts so have a good idea of strengths and weaknesses of different shops. Weaknesses: 1. staff is not professional. Don't sense that they really love what they do. Even walked in on them having lunch, in the showroom and felt pressure to leave bc I didn't have a reservation. 2. even though they advertise $65 for their lowest price point for a shirt, shipping is $10 and if you want a monogram, it's an additional $5. 3. Shipping takes 4 weeks. Common, but not preferred. Mysuit is 2 weeks. 4. Did not fit when I first tried it on and there were stains. 5. When they asked the tailor to come out, he said the shirt fit perfect. Uhh... yea i'm sure it does. They didn't want to put work in it. 6. Came back 1 week later and didn't fit again. Basically just asked for my money back and they complied, no questions. Shirt where there were stains, the fabric was damaged. I think there are much better places. I was underwhelmed by the owner, the product, the process and ultimately the price after everything was included. I would avoid. I've been a customer of Kishore Daswani since 2013, and he's delivered expert tailoring with which I've been very happy. I've had shirts, suits and sport coats made. All have been beautiful and wonderfully tailored to fit my body and my style. I was excited that the Daswanis had opened a brick and mortar store on 57th Street. I finally had the opportunity to try it out. The mission: A custom tuxedo and formal tux shirts (to be completed in time for New Years Eve), trim down five suits (going non dairy has been amazing), and make another four shirts. Vik Daswani was great at helping me design my tux and helped me to push the envelope a bit with a jacquard fabric. We matched the textures in the tux with textures in the tuxedo shirts. Vik also worked with the in house tailor to trim down five suits that I brought in for tailoring. Kanchan Daswani was on board to help me with the final alterations on the tuxedo and shirt, and the whole team, Ali included, moved things along so I could get my tux and tux shirt back in time for an event this coming week, three weeks earlier than my original target date! If you are discerning customer and like the details, Suit Club is the place. Get it done the way you want it done. I don't think you can beat the pricing on suits and jackets. I love custom tailoring. Nothing fits better than clothing cut to fit your body and Suit Club is the place to go in NYC. read more

Got a shirt package out in jersey at a hotel satellite location. They measured me and I even brought a custom shirt from another company as a starting point. Basically told them this shirt is perfect, but I needed a little adjustment in two spots. They measured the shirt I brought. The first shirt came back and was pretty bad. They tweaked it locally 3 times before making the remaining 3-4 shirts. They luckily decided to remake the first shirt too due to all of the now holes and markings on it from being adjusted so much. Not sure if the factory got the updates as My shirts are too short and keep coming out throughout the day. The wrists are too wide and are very uncomfortable as they slide over my hands all day. The shoulders are too tight leading to one of the shirts having a seam rip already and I don't wear them often due to them not being comfortable shirts....Maybe a dozen times?. The hardest part of custom shirts is the size. I gave them the starting point with the ask to adjust slightly. What a waste of money. Especially since they charge 20 per shirt for delivery. read more

I went to the Suit Club to get a custom tux for my wedding. It was my first custom suit of any kind. I worked with Vik. He's the man. The whole experience was incredible. My situation was particularly unique, because I was out of town for a lot of the time leading up to my wedding, but Vik easily worked around that and got me exactly what I needed. My suit looked incredible. The attention to detail, the responsiveness, the care that went into making my suit - these guys are the real deal and I can't recommend them enough. I have been getting Suit Club shirts for a number of months now and I am already on my fourth order and now getting pants too! I realized how badly my other shirts fit once i started putting these Suit Club shirts on. My non-Suit Club shirts were soooo loose in all places that I can only wear Suit Club shirts now and can't stand to see myself in anything else. I will definitely be back for more regularly here. I have been going to Suit Club for over 6 months now after a colleague of mine recommended it to me. To date, I have purchased 5 suits and 8 shirts and I couldn't be more pleased with the quality, service, looks, and the price of theirs. In terms of quality, I can fully stand behind their products given that there is no visible wear in any of my suits after wearing them once a week for the last 6+ months. The trousers, which typically wear out the fastest, are virtually the same as they were purchased. Service-wise, the two owners are not only polite but also very knowledgeable of the latest trends and are able to make viable recommendations. In fact, two of my favorite suits were recommended by Vik, one of the owners. In terms of looks, I cannot write enough how satisfied I am with every single product I have purchased. I have worn my suits to work, weddings, galas, and other professional events and have received many compliments from coworkers, friends, and family. Lastly, in terms of price, I think that Suit Club products are a no brainer. Being 6'10 tall, it is impossible to find off the rack items that would fit me somewhat decently. Prior to coming across Suit Club, I tried the Brooks Brother's extra long line and still came out unimpressed. When I inquired about Brook's bespoke line, the price was 3x what the Suit Club charges. The Suit Club was recommended to me by two friends who had used the service. I was in a rush to get a new suit for an upcoming destination wedding, and thought I would investigate having one made. From the moment I set foot inside The Suit Club, I received superb treatment from Kanchan Daswani. She was so professional and detail oriented that I could not help but be impressed. She truly is an expert and has a strong sense of classic style for the modern man. We went through possible patterns, suit styles, cuts, etc. I've never enjoyed the process of selecting a suit but this was fun and removed the usual agita that can arise. I cannot recommend more highly this service. I found the pricing to be fair for what you receive. Due to the fact that my order was expedited, it was a bit more so if you have the time, start early to help contain the cost. It normally takes about 6 weeks and I needed it done in 2. The suit that was made is beautiful and exactly what I envisaged. The Suit Club clearly aims to offer a high-touch customer experience from beginning to end, and thanks to Kanchan, they definitely delivered! My only recommendation is that it would have been nice to have celebrated at the 2nd fitting with a glass of bubbles.
