Chocolate lovers!! This place is such a cute gem to find chocolates from all around the world. It's the perfect pls do go go to if you're looking for a gift or you need to add-on that one more thing to your gifts. Each time I come here I want to buy all the chocolates and give it out to friends and family. They have nice looking luxury chocolates bars as well.

It's supposed to be Organic Earl Grey but it has no flavor/aroma.

I really wanted to like this shop but I bought a 1/4 lb of loose Organic Earl Grey tea and it's got zero flavor and no fragrance. It's obviously too old and it's been reduced to near powder. The flavor is very weak and frankly kinda tastes like dusty sadness. There is no fragrance at all. And I don't have Covid nose, because I bought some at Berkeley Bowl and that's been great. So an entire 1/4 lb of tea is wasted - hope it's better as compost.

One of the best chocolate selections in Berkeley. Great Thai iced tea, and if you ask nicely, they will give you samples of the cheese.

This rating is for customer service. Extremely rude when they overcharged me. Be very careful about what this store charges you for items.

For those who don't know what the Dubai chocolates are, they are milk chocolates filled with shredded phyllo dough and pistachio cream. My first impression was whether or not I had walked into an art gallery or a confectionary shop. Uh...turns out both! According to their website, the owner and her partner were originally artists prior to becoming chocolatiers. This place just screams creativity and their chocolates are ethically-sourced and almost too pretty to eat. They even have a backroom gallery to showcase local artists' confectionary-inspired works. We couldn't find the Dubai chocolates, but one of the employees approached us and asked if we needed any assistance. Turns out they were in the back and they had just received a shipment! The Dubai chocolates were nutty, crunchy, flaky, and velvety all in one! Pricey, but worth trying. Also, might I just take a moment to say I absolutely adore the shop's name! It almost looks like "XO Chocolate" as in kisses and hugs, bu also reminded me of the language of the ancient Latin American civilizations and - fun fact - Xocolatl (you see the play on words?) means chocolate (literally means "bitter water") back when they would mix purely cocoa and water as a drink. If I'm not mistaken, this business is Latina-owned, so perhaps that was intention? So clever and, either way, kudos to them!

Packed inside this small space was an amazing array of candies. Felt like museum; candy store and art gallery mixed into one. Amazing displays. Great local sweets. Friendly staff. The house hot chocolate was delicious -- rich, smooth, and not overly sweet. The Baked Ghana ice cream was amazing; we have never had chocolate ice cream like that before. We loved it so much that we ordered another large house hot chocolate before leaving. Everyone at the store was incredibly kind to our family, especially with our two small kids. We'll definitely be coming back more often.Amazing service. Please open a location in the East Bay!

The treats were tasty, but on the pricier side. I believe the pricing reflects the quality of the chocolate used in the products, so to me, the pricing is justified. The outer shell of the canelé had a nice crunch, but the inside actually reminded me of a chocolate brownie, and was less custardy than your typical canelé. Despite not being super traditional, I still really enjoyed the treat. With the chocolate chip cookie, I loved the giant chunks of semi-sweet dark chocolate embedded within it. I appreciate that the cookie itself wasn't overly sweet. With most cookies, I usually can only tolerate having a few bites, or need to have a coffee in hand to enjoy it, but I didn't feel like that was the case here: both treats were delicious. Overall, I would definitely stop by Dandelion Chocolate again if I'm looking for a well-crafted, sweet treat.
