I'm leaving this review so other buyers know what to watch out for. I signed a full purchase agreement for a vehicle, the manager signed it, and I paid an $1,800 deposit. Because it was close to closing time, the salesperson rushed me through the paperwork so quickly that I barely had a chance to read anything -- which I now regret trusting. Minutes after leaving, the dealership called to say they had put the wrong vehicle on the paperwork -- their error -- and that I now owed $4,000 more. Instead of honoring the signed agreement or offering a meaningful solution, they offered just $600 off the new price. That's not professionalism or accountability. That's a dealership trying to fix its own mistake at the buyer's expense. If you shop here, take your time and double-check every line, because the pressure to rush through closing time cost me a deal I was ready to complete. The worst part, I actually would have purchased at the higher price had they showed me that to begin with. But the sales person partially blamed me when I told him I expected them to honor the price by saying "Stacy with all the research you did you had to know the price of the vehicle. It was an honest mistake but we showed you the numbers for 2020 and you signed for the 2020." I was absolutely appalled at this considering I really couldn't remember the price because I had driven so many different vehicles all within $5k price point and even though I asked for the copies of the paperwork, he rushed me out the door before providing them...I didn't think it was a big deal because they needed to do work to the vehicle before we paid in full. I couldn't even verify I signed paperwork he said I did during the phone call. And in the end, when sharing pictures of the papers via text, I was still missing a copy of the one and only paper I looked at super closely with the price and vehicle on it. Somehow this one conveniently "disappeared" and he proceeded to tell me I never signed a copy of that one. But it was the first document I signed and really the only one he let me read. i bought a brand new 2024 honda civic from ray laks honda ten months ago, for full price, and i am yet to have a good experience: during my first (and only) complementary oil change, somebody stole an airsoft gun, its case, and accessories out of my trunk and after almost a month, i've had many calls and emails from honda and never got any form of compensation in return when i purchased the car they said there was no way to help with the price because it was not on the lot there and it was unavailable elsewhere, they didn't tell me it was on another honda dealer's lot fairly local that had it for about 4 grand less than they told me it was. (i should have done my research and went elsewhere to avoid this) they sold me on ziebart rust protection coating and my appointment has been rescheduled multiple times for the entire winter and i still haven't gotten it done after 10 months now they sold me on lots of extra protection plans that haven't been helpful so far such as my wheel and tire coverage that does not cover hitting a pothole and getting a flat tire and it took over ten calls and talking to at least five people to figure that out overall i would not recommend ray laks honda for buying a car or for service as they are untrustworthy, useless, and overpriced to the point where it should be considered a scam read more

Was told over the phone they would need to look at my Honda Pilot in order to give me an estimate on wiring a trailer light harness. I asked if the estimate was free and the Ray Laks employee said yes, there would be no cost on an estimate. We booked the appointment for 2 weeks out. 2 weeks later, after driving 30 minutes to get there, the employee at the service desk seemed confused as to why I was there. Then he tells me it will cost $200 for the estimate alone. I looked up the cost of parts which is $200 and everything is plug and play except the previous owners cut some of the wires that would need spliced back. It took me about 5 minutes to know what needs done. I just don't like splicing wires. I can't imagine it would take them longer than 15 minutes to do an estimate. $200 is crazy...especially when I was told it would be free. I left without the estimate. Another 30 minute drive home plus time wasted in the waiting area...I spent over an hour to find out they are a bait and switch business that will tell you anything to get you in the door then another when you invested to be there. Run away as far as you can from Ray Laks Honda. They are no good, dishonest, and will disappoint even those with the lowest of standards. read more

Update on my 2023 Honda CRV. My brakes developed a squawking sound while braking a couple months after getting my calipers serviced (by a mechanic that actually wanted to do his job). I reluctantly decided to go to a different Honda dealership for service. The mechanic heard the noise and said it was such a loud squawk and creek that he was worried it was a frame issue. Once looking a the car the mechanic said my rotors and brakes were slipping froward and then slipping back against the brake pads at the end of my brake due to poor surface on the rotors. (That's what happens when another mechanic refuses to acknowledge the issue and tells you to "break in" your brakes that sound like metal grinding on metal). They tried to resurface my rotors to help. Within one month of the resurface the squawking/creek came back. The mechanic at the new dealership said my rotors would need to be replaced. 500 dollars later my breaks are silent again. The mechanic and service manager agreed that having to replace rotors on a 2023 was strange and that no other CRVs at their dealership were having these issues with their brakes. I traded my last car in ( Jeep) with 47,000 miles on it and not once did I have to replace my rotors. My CRV is at 22,000 miles. Honda Customer service refuses to reimburse me because there is "no proof" it was a factory defect. Of course there isn't proof, the rotors were fine until I was told to continue driving on brakes that were clearly not functioning right since driving off the lot. My driving has not changed and I have lived in Buffalo all of my life. My own mother is driving a Honda CRV hybrid (same model living in the same area) and her brakes have never made a peep. Moral of the story: do not go to Ray laks Honda, especially if you are woman. There is a pretty clear pattern in their online reviews. They will absolutely take advantage of you and gaslight you into thinking your crazy. read more

I love how thy respond to every review pretending to be concerned about the issues. If they had any real integrity or concern for customer service we wouldn't be reading these negative reviews over and over again. I wish I had checked here before buying a car last spring. I expect all car salesmen to be shady and manipulative, but it's the warranty promises that are the most disappointing. Our CRV came with free oil changes for the first two years, but Honda refuses to provide this service until the gauge in the vehicle is below 15%. At over 9,000 miles and almost 8 months, our car still says 30%. I've never gone this long without an oil change. The dealership also told us that the oil gauges are notoriously inaccurate so.....is this just a ploy to never provide the promised service? I am just going to pay to go somewhere else at this point. They also don't have the parts to fix the recall that was issued on our vehicle several months ago. I will definitely avoid this place when our other car needs to be replaced in a few years. read more

Bought a 2018 used Tacoma from Chris. I saw this vehicle online for a price far under the market average. I jumped on it right away and he and I began to exchange info through text message and email. He understood how busy I was with work and made it as smooth as possible for me to get the keys (he even sent me a link to put a deposit down remotely). When I arrived in person to collect the truck, it only took an hour and a half at the most! And that was counting the test drive and the fact that he was seeing another customer when I arrived. The truck was is great condition but needed a few easy fixes. Upon test driving, you could easily tell this truck needed an A/C recharge and a new serpentine belt. (85,0000 miles on truck). Me being a guy that works on his own things and loves to learn, I spent maybe $40 to fix these things on my own. But, being a Honda specialized dealership, I would not expect Ray Laks to be equipped to handle these repairs. Final Thoughts: I would recommend this dealership due to the fast and efficient process. This dealership has "no nonsense policy" when it comes to getting you in and out of the door. read more

Update as of 7/28/25: On the way home from work around 11:00 PM on a late June evening, my beloved used Highlander from Ray Laks suffered a catastrophic failure of the alternator/charging system and consequently shorted out the battery. The sheriff's department towed it from the roadside with their tow service then I had to have it towed to my repair shop. After another $1600 estimate for service, I contacted the dealership again and spoke with a manager. He ultimately made an offer to buy the vehicle back IF I would sign on for a lease on either a new Honda Prologue or Ridgeline @ approx $550/$730 per month payment. I can't do that at this time so after I stated that wasn't an option, I went through with the repair service. I'm not sure what to do now because the tires are still on the vehicle and there are other issues that still need attention. I really thought going through an established dealer (because the prices are generally higher) meant the caliber of the vehicle would be better. Is small claims court or a complaint through NYS Inspection the only options? read more

I have purchased 4 brand new cars from Ray Laks Honda. I called to ask about a warranty rear wiper motor. Pressed "2" for service advisor (i believe). Spoke with a service advisor and they pawned me off and told me i have to speak with warranty department. they transfer me. Warranty dept says "oh, we only deal with extended warranties" So.... they transfer me back to service. no one answers. Message says for fastest response let us text you. Well. 45min later Rick texts me. We exchange some texts and yes there was a bit of confusion between texts. However, he then calls me. Explains that they have to do diagnosis at $189hr. If it's under warranty I won't have to pay the diagnosis, but if it's not i pay that. I said "ok, you have the rear wiper in stock so if it's bad you can replace it". his reply "well no, we don't keep parts in stock" I said so that parts room is empty and there is no parts on hand" His reply was "I have been service manager for 16/17yrs, i know we don't have these in stock and we don't just get them in stock for customers who think they know whats wrong with their car" I politely explained to him that "i have been service advisor, i have had his job and i am a master certified ASE mechanic. I already diagnosed it, and the motor is bad" His reply was "well if youre a master mechanic why don't you just fix it yourself since you know it's bad and can do everything yourself?" i explained " I buy brand new cars so i do not have to work on my own cars, and why would i buy a wiper motor if it's covered under warranty?" So, after buying 4 brand new cars from Ray Laks, they want me to drop off my car, wait for them to rediagnose it, will not have part in stock. Then reschedule another appointment for when the part comes in. Drive back for them to do the repair. Labor for wiper motor calls for .5hrs. So they can take out and replace wiper in .5 hrs but want to charge 1hr to diagnose what i already diagnosed. Also, When you access the wiper motor, It takes another 1 min to connect meter and check for voltage and ground. Add 1 more min to supply power and ground to motor to see if motor works, which it does not. But Rick wants me to spend 5hrs, driving back and forth and waiting and scheduling multiple appointments? At end of original conversation i was upset and told him to go F himself and hung up. yes i should not have, but rick called me back and told me i am now flagged in the system and banned from ray laks honda. Also at 1 point Rick told me " we don't have these in stock, Part of my job is ordering inventory" Well guess what Ricky, Never in my life has a service advisor been the parts manager as well at a dealership. Just more lies from Rick. So now my next 4 or 5 Hondas i will Buy elsewhere. Hope the owners are proud of your customer service and lies you tell to try and prove your point. read more

Rude service department. Bought my Honda with Ray Laks but it's impossible getting a hold of the service department to book service with them. I have to drive an extra 10-miles to NorthTown Honda as they answer the phone with the first or second ring and get me in the next day. Sadly, NorthTown said the issue with my car was not covered under warranty and suggested I try where I purcased the car from and see fit they could help. I went to Ray Laks in person, explained what was going on to the service desk - the other service person jumped in (without even looking my vehicle up or any info up) and rudely said "If that's what they told you, that's what it is". Absolutely horrible - will NEVER return or recommend. Salesman Bob Meer is as slimy as the come. We test drove a car together and sat down to talk numbers. After going back and forth multiple times, we agreed upon a payment. Once I'd filled out my information for the loan and my trade in, he came out to tell me he had "unknowingly" presented me the wrong information, for a totally different car. The car I wanted is thousands more, and there's just absolutely nothing they can do about the price (we all know that's a total lie). This man told me he has been with Ray Laks for 10 years, yet at no point in our negotiations did he think the price sounded off? Or notice the picture of the incorrect car on the paper (I thought it was a stock photo)? He didn't take two seconds to ensure he had the right information before meeting with me? I went today to get back all of my paperwork because I don't trust these crooks. He had the audacity to blame me for being interested in two different cars. That's apparently too much for him to keep straight. This man told me lie after lie for hours, and honestly, I'm embarrassed to say it got as far as it did, but I sure don't want it to happen to anyone else. They never judged me listened to the story about it being a cosigner agreement gone bad. Took that info and managed to get me a brand new car with a good, NOT second rate bank! Other dealers laughed at the door. These guys went above and beyond. Car was delivered in great condition. On time and with very little paperwork hoops. I can't speak for the service dept since I just bought it. But I can speak for the all others there and the professional, knowledgeable service I had received. I had a great experience with Josh at Ray Laks Honda in the service department! I was nervous about going to a dealership because you always hear about how they are so expensive and will tell you all these different terrible things your car needs fixed. I called and they were able to get me in the next day. Josh called me constantly to let me know the updates with my car. The problem was just some spark plugs, they had it done within an hour. Yes, he suggested a tune up, and new tires, and other offers, but he wasn't pushy. He didn't make me feel guilty for only wanting the spark plugs and recalls done. He didn't treat me differently just because I was a woman. And the professionalism was exceptional! The entire service area was so clean! read more

The technicians told me it was my phone and needed to upgrade my iPhone 7 - well proceed to upgrade to an 11 and was now told my phone is too new. Refuse to fix the Bluetooth and said there is nothing they can do. So 2 years later still having the same trouble they say I can upgrade my Bluetooth but since it's not under warranty it's going to cost you! There are so many 1 star reviews on here. I should've known I'd have a poor experience. I'd go to a different dealership if I were anybody who is reading this. After many emails to get me to come in for a trade in appraisal, I was told the guy was too busy to give me a price after I drove to the dealership after work. The service department is impossible to get through to and does not return messages. After scheduling an appointment , I came to drop off my vehicle before work. After 5 minutes of standing there with nobody at the service desks and not wanting to be late , I left my key in the drop box with all of my info on the envelope. I never received a call , or any confirmation of my appointment. I called to see if my car was finished , with no answer. I left a message with my phone number and never got a call back. I drove to the shop finally and saw my car in the same place I parked it. I had to go inside to ask about my appointment, and was told there are no keys in the drop box , only to have it opened and see my key sitting there. There is no way I can go back to this shop which is disappointing because I live far from every other Honda dealer. I recommend staying away from this place if you value your time in any way. read more

Dishonesty. Lies and bait and switch. On April 12th, I inquired to a used Hyundai Ioniq they had on thier lot. I was told it was available by Julie J. She made an appointment for me to come see it. I told her it had to be early as I was coming from a long distance. She set the appointment for me for Saturday when they opened at 9 am. I received a welcome email from my sales person Christopher M. I emailed back telling him I was coming 80 miles from Rochester, and I cancelled an appointment I had in Syracuse to look at a different Ioniq. So they were aware I was looking for a specific vehicle, and I was coming from a distance. Morning of Saturday April 15th. I got up at 6:30 to make it to the dealership by 9. I arrived 15 minutes early.. I got in at 5 minutes to 9. I sat and waited a few minutes while the greeter located Christopher M. It took about 5 more minutes for him to come over. When he did he told me that he had bad news and good news. The bad news was that they sent the car (which I had been told was on the lot) to a Hyundai Dealership across the street, and that they were told it had a bad transmission. If that was true, I am 100% sure they couldn't have found that out at 5 minutes to 9 on a Saturday morning, and didn't bother to call and tell me. What was the "Good News"? That they had 2 Honda Clarity's on the lot.. SO thier good news was they had 2 cars that I didn't come to see or want, that had double the miles on them as the Ioniq, for a couple grand more. Note: I'm still waiting for any "good news". Now because I feel this was a bait and switch for a car that I suspected was sold between Wednesday and Saturday (or even before), I had a buddy go online on Saturday evening and make an inquiry for the same Ioniq (which remember they said they didn't have on thier lot because it was broken). The response was immediate that the car was available and on the lot (Shocking i know since it was broken, right?). Not only were we told that, we received 2 emails that it was available and when could we schedule a time to come in. One from Julie J. and another from Karen H. I was a bit angry, but I had not decided to write this review yet because i could see where the schedulers might not know if a car had been diagnosed with a transmission problem, and I didn't have proof that was false and the car had been sold. Then funny enough, Monday AM came and I get an email from Cars.com telling me that a car I looked at *the Ioniq at Ray Laks Honda, was reported as sold and gave me some listings of other Ioniqs to look at. Now, to me it's really funny that Saturday at 9AM they couldn't sell the car to me because it wasn't on the lot with a transmission problem, and somehow before Monday at 9AM, they were able to sell it. They must have a SUPER fast transmission repair team to get that car repaired and back on the lot for someone to drive it, get financed and close the sale on Saturday. Lets be honest. If they had called me on Friday and said sorry we sold the car we had you scheduled to see tomorrow morning, but we have other PHEV's available, I would have praised thier integrity and honesty, but instead, they let me make an 80 mile drive in to see a car they KNEW they didn't have on the lot. What's worse, they lacked the integrity to tell me they sold it, instead spinning some lie about a broken transmission (on a car that public records will show they sold). I DON'T LIKE BEING LIED to by one person, let alone several people in the same company. This is an integrity problem with that dealer. Shameful. EDIT: 4/18/2023. Just got off the phone with the dealers rep. They apologized profusely that My time was wasted. They admitted they absolutely should have notified me ahead of my long drive that the car wasn't going to be available (which they knew before). However, she did tell me that they sold the car Wholesale with the bad transmission, not retail. Still, that doesn't really explain to me why on Monday, we have emails from another inquiry that we made on Sunday saying that the car was still available and to please make an appointment to come in and look. read more

Hatchback on my Fit would not open unless I crawled into back of the car to trigger the catch. June 4th I brought my 2015 Fit into Ray Laks because the back hatch latch wasn't working. Jarret explained I needed a new latch without checking any further possible solutions. He gave me an estimate and ordered the part which was to be there by end of the week. When I went to check I was told no order was in the system. When the ordered part finally arrived, I returned to have the latch replaced. The latch was replaced on June 29th and was working fine for a few days. I went to load some groceries and I could not open the hatch door. Once again the latch was dead. Jeff said "it could" be the handle, not the latch. Another $250 buck.... but wait, it could be the fob. The fob replacement would be over $200 with programing. So in order to open the back hatch, I would need to do trial by error replacement @ the tune of over $700 all because no one would pull my car out of the service drive in to do a though diagnostic check. Funny thing, the check engine light has never been on, ever. Told them to leave it alone. Picked it up, the light was not on, just how I dropped it off. spoke to service guy about their scam, gave me a dumb look, said that the check engine lights are always coming on and turning off by themselves. Do not do business here! My wife and I attempted to purchase a used van from these charlatans. We found an internet listing matching our purchasing criteria and stopped by (30 miles away). On our initial visit, the vehicle was having some work done in the service department. No problem, we made contact with a salesman and were told it would be ready later that day. We came back, but the vehicle was still on a lift. Not wanting a scheduling conflict to deprive us of this opportunity, we put money down on the vehicle so we would be the first to test drive it when it was finally ready. Days later we received word that the van was ready, so we went back that weekend. While driving, a loud noise began emanating from the wheel area. Obviously, the van needed to be returned to the service department. We still wanted to purchase the vehicle and the dealership still had our money. We told them to take their time and service it properly. Several days passed and we received word that the van was ready again, so we made another appointment to test drive it in two days time. When we arrived at the dealership for our appointment we were told THE VAN HAD BEEN SOLD. The salesman had our number but did not notify us to save us the 30-mile drive, since he still wanted to sell us a more expensive vehicle. His manager told us tough luck and that putting money down on a vehicle doesn't mean anything. He would not negotiate on the price of another vehicle at all and couldn't care less what we had invested in the process. Finally, their card reader was broken and we couldn't get our money back. After two hours of waiting, they told us we didn't have to stay and that they would call us when the money was returned. After several days, we called the financial office to be told that they hadn't done any paperwork and that they have never done transactions without having a physical card available, so we'd have to drive the 30 miles there to swipe our card again, to get the money back that was put down on nothing. This entire establishment, from stem to stern, is a fallacy. read more

We brought our car in for a recall to replace driveshafts. Our car leaked transmission fluid all over our driveway. They said it isn't leaking fast enough for them to fix. Left it there for an extra day and they failed to call us to give us an update. We went there and the service department didn't seem to know anything about it. Another day without our car. I have a Honda Civic CNG (Clean Natural Gas, same as your home heating gas) that I purchased from a Western New York School System auction. The Civic has 8850 original miles. The reason the school system sold the car is it had a check engine light which they could not solve. The school system mechanic determined that the CNG fuel valve was the problem, Honda charges over $5000 for this valve. Even after the valve was replaced the check engine light still came on. Frustrated the school system sold the Civic. My local mechanics thought the fuel system filter was the problem, which they paid $40 for, however this did not solve the check engine light. Frustrated myself I took the Civic to Ray Laks Honda to resolve my check engine light issue. After having the car for a week I was told the fuel filter was the problem, I thought my local mechanic might have installed a wrong filter. After paying over $500 for a replacement filter the check engine light came on before I got the car home so I took it back to Ray Laks Honda who after another week informed me that a vacuum hose was the culprit, this solved the check engine light issue, at a cost of over $800. When I asked the "so called Ray Laks Service Advisor" what about the $500 filter they charged me for, I was told by the "so called Ray Laks Service Advisor" that the filter that was installed previously was "plugged solid". I told him that filter was brand new, he did not care. Frustrated I paid my bill and was about to leave when I found my Civic CNG fuel tank on empty with the warning light flashing. When i went back in to talk to the "so called Ray Laks Service Advisor" about this and explain that the Civic had 3/4 of a tank of fuel when I bought it in "the so called Ray Laks Service Advisor" told me "how do I know it had 3/4 of a tank of fuel" calling me a liar. I ended up having the Civic towed to a CNG filling station to be refilled, at a towing cost of $100 plus a tank of fuel. I called Honda's main office regarding how I was treated by Ray Laks Honda , was given a case number but never heard back from any one at Honda's main office . Be Aware ! read more

Please share ! I took my Honda in to Ray Laks on Southwestern Blvd. in Orchard Park today for an airbag recall . No charge but they did a complimentary 12 point inspection which was fine . The service manager told me I needed a new cabin air filter and he showed me a nest that mice had built ( gross! ) He had my filter on the counter with the nest sitting on top of the filter. I told him I didn't want to have anything replaced today , just the airbag please. He said ok . A few minutes later they called my name and said I was all set . I thanked him and almost as an afterthought I jokingly said " You did throw the nest out right ?" I assumed they would have, as it was sitting on top of the filter in the office . He said he couldn't guarantee that . Wow- ok . Still thought Im sure the service guy threw it out , as a mechanic would not knowingly shove a mouse nest back in with a filter, right ? Wrong! I got home and looked on YouTube to see how hard it would be to check a cabin air filter on my car - surprisingly simple actually!! Here is the picture of the nest that was put back in the car . Customer service was so poor it is almost disturbing. I saw a vehicle on the Internet and decided to come in to see it. We waited 20 to 30 minutes because no one could find the car and then once they did, no one could find the keys. That took us to the end of the day as we lost the majority of daylight to view the car (as well as our own time and we had to go as we had other obligations). So, we looked at it for only a few short minutes and decided to come back the next day for which we booked an appointment at 5:00. Came back, same story. We had to wait a significant amount of time because once again no one could find the car. --Thirty to 45 minutes later, we were told the car was at detail--a 10 minute drive down the street where they were willing to show us. I no longer had that kind of time. Once again, I allotted an hour for my visit and then had other obligations. An hour should be sufficient to view and test drive a vehicle especially when you have an appointment. So we came back again the next day. We were able to test drive it immediately. Being well-versed and knowledgeable of Toyotas and their history, our faith lied in the car and we were willing to purchase the vehicle. We sat down and spoke with the salesman who then told us we would need to move our talks to his sales manager. And, like before, we were left to wait. It is reasonable to wait 15 or 20 minutes, however, once again we were waiting an hour. After the hour we were told that it looks like it's going to be a little bit longer. I asked how much longer? And, was informed, another 45 minutes. I left, went home, and came back and hour later. They were still not ready. We waited an additional 20 minutes there again and that's when we were told it looks like it will still be a little longer. That's when we decided to go home instead of finalizing our purchase. So we came back, again, the following day. We had an appointment for 5 o'clock again. And, we confirmed that time through a text message earlier in the day. We got there early, at 4:36 PM. We waited. 5 o'clock. 5:30 PM. 6 o'clock. 6:30 PM. We had not eaten dinner and have a child who had not eaten either. We were told an apology and was informed that we were waiting because another couple, who walked in, was being waited on first. They told me that was why we also waited the day before. Apparently, their policy is, first come, first serve whether you have an appointment or not. They also told me it was the last day of the month so they were trying to get the sale in. Well, congratulations. You got two sales in. And I paid for both of them. --Good job. All the sales manager could do was apologize. He told me he will be relaying my experience to his manager the next morning (which was this morning) and he would have his manager contact me. It is now 11:30 AM as I write this review and, as I suspected, my phone has never rang. I do have my car though! Along with the half a tank of gas that they put in used cars. --Apparently, only NEW cars come with a full tank of gas. I spent $18,000 including the taxes and fees. You couldn't spend $20 on another half a tank of gas to fill it up?? Oh, and that Ray Laks license plate holder? It's already off my vehicle. read more

Poor service all the way around. I have been hung up on by service staff and the general manager apparently doesn't return phone calls. Dealership engages in poor business practices and claims they can't make changes due to Honda processes - yet Lia Honda has never engaged in those same practices. read more

I would give them a zero if possible. I was there for a simple oil change and transmission oil change. Good thing I always check to make sure my caps are on. The oil cap and transmission filler plug were under my hood latch and when I opened the hood they fell on the ground.I love my honda that I purchased here but this service department is terrible. read more

I recently had the nicest time buying a Honda Clarity from Ray Laks. I've purchased vehicles from different dealers throughout the years, Ray Laks Honda was by far the nicest. My girlfriend received horrible treatment at Ray Laks Honda today. She specifically went because of a deal that was advertised in the papers and online. She's not the most assertive person and was worried she wouldn't be taken seriously since this is the first time she would be leasing without anyone to go with her as support. To start, they disregarded her interest in the car she came for and decided to go for a needless half hour drive in another car. When she finally got them to sit down to talk numbers about the initial deal in which she was interested they said that deal doesn't exist and made her feel foolish for thinking you could really lease a car for $229 a month with no money down even though THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT THE ADVERTISEMENT SAID. If this isn't false advertising, I don't know what is. Now, my girlfriend is not an unreasonable or difficult person. She's responsible with a good job and good credit. She just wanted to be treated with the same respect as if her father were there with her. Unfortunately, the folks at Ray Laks Honda on Southwestern Blvd weren't able to provide her that courtesy. They were condescending and pushy, inappropriately speculating her spending habits and how much she "could really afford". I know the average car seller probably doesn't have the highest of standards but the folks at Ray Laks Honda really drive home that stereotype. Fair warning to any females who are looking for a vehicle: don't go to Ray Laks Honda. Unless of course you're looking for misogynistic a-holes to bully you into a purchase. I will be sharing her experience with everyone I know. They aren't worthy of a one star review. read more

The salesman was very informative and helpful, that is only reason for 2 stars otherwise it would be zero.while we were test driving a car they went through my car for trade in value tipped over my coffee in center console never picked it back up went through glove boxes and back compartments items were just thrown around, I am still finding things on the floor and under seats.We told them we were paying cash and they only gave us options for financing. We will travel to dealership that treats people and their property with respect. read more

Had my converter stolen while visiting Buffalo. Had to get home to Cleveland. Called on a Saturday afternoon. They could not see me, but were HONEST and helped me find a place who could. Called back all afternoon to make sure I was safe and had car repaired. Excellent service without ever seeing my car. I would definitely do business here! Thanks Blake! read more

Bought 2 almost new cars in Aug 2020. In hindsight, the salesman lied to my face at least 10x. He lied like it was as easy as breathing. He tried to tell me I had to buy my own car mats! He even lied about who his supervisor was! Then, the Service people continued with the dishonesty! They told me my tire life was at 50% and would get me through winter. Anything to save a buck on their end! Took the car for a second opinion and since the tires weren't balanced, only PART of 2 tires were at 50%! The general manager got involved and tried to insist his team is honest but the lies kept on coming. That entire dealership is a disgrace. That manager should be ashamed of the operation he's running. I'll never go back; not even with all the coupons I have. If you go there, be prepared to fact check anything they tell you. read more

I was wondering why the service at Ray Laks was going downhill. Now I have my answer that they were bought out by a huge car dealer concern in 2018. Can't even talk to anyone to make an appointment. Time to find a different dealership or brand. read more
