Highly don't recommend. I had work done there for a couple things that were broken. They were covered under warranty however it was so hard trying to get ahold of anyone to figure out when it would be done. They would say one day it would be done the next day and it wasn't. While doing the work they broke my driver side rain guard when they weren't even working close to that. Instead of ordering a new one and putting it on because they broke it. They offered to take off the right rain guard to match, how rude. Not to mention put the broken one on my passenger seat broke in 3 pieces. I will never buy a vehicle from there again or have any work done very unprofessional. read more

I needed 2 lock nuts for my shocks on a GMC Sierra and the Chevy dealership only had 1 in Springville and it was 15$. I thought this was an insane price and they only had 1 so they told me this dealership would have another, so I drove 20 min to get over here and they charged me 25$ for the same thing, unfortunately I had to pay it because I needed to get my truck on the road immediately and didn't have time to wait for an online order. Don't buy things from here because their markup is crazy. If you need a dealership parts go to the one in Springville!, or spread your legs and let them kick you in the nuts. read more

THERE'S A THIEF AMONG THEM I thought about leaving this review for a long time - over a month. Decided that others, and Cappellino owners, should know. Here's what happened........ Let me say first that when I bought my car there was an issue with the headlights. They were replaced, and I told them that if I was treated well they'd have a customer for life, as I was for 22 years with the dealer for my previous car. I was treated well that time and told them they have a customer for life. Not so much anymore. Aug 8 I took my not even a year old car in for an inspection and oil change. That took a few hours and went well. However, upon going to get my car something was missing. I had an item on my car that helps me identify it in parking lots - see the picture. It was gone. Greg, the service guy attached to my order, and I at first couldn't even find my car in the lot. It was sandwiched between 2 large trucks and backed a few inches away from the wall, such that you'd have to be basically right in front of it to see it. Trucks, on the other hand, were close to 2 ft away from the wall. We both wondered why it was parked like that. Almost like it was being hidden. Then I saw my flowers were missing. Greg knew about them because he commented on them when I first brought my car in, so he knew they were there. I said, where's my flowers??? We both walked the whole lot and bay area for at least 1/2 hour looking for it/them. Nowhere to be found. I was pretty mad that someone would take it. The excuses offered were not realistic - "they could have fallen off when they raised the car and it hit something" - in a 30ft high ceiling?? "They got blown away by the wind when they fell off" - in an enclosed bay area?? "There's all kinds of people in and out of here, delivery people, etc. Maybe one of them took it" - I doubt that "all kinds of people" -delivery or otherwise - walk around the bay area and take things off cars. "They got dragged into the lot and blown away" - the flowers are on a flag stem that's almost 2 ft long. It sits tight on the window such that normally even if you open the window it stays on. If it does happen to fall off it falls right next to the car. It has enough weight that it can't be blown away by the wind unless it's like a leaf blower wind directed at it. No wind that day, and certainly not in the bay area. The longer we looked the madder I got because SOMEONE had to have taken it. I asked him to look at video. As it was basically closing time on Friday he said he'd do that and talk to employees that Monday, as employees won't be back until then. Come Monday I called to find out what happened. He said he talked to the employees and nobody knew anything. That he and another guy from service looked at the video and they saw the tech get into the back seat (flowers were on the back seat window) the flowers were there, and a second later they were gone. Couldn't tell what happened to them. So now I'm REALLY upset that someone would take them. It's not an expensive item. They did reimburse me for the cost to replicate it. It's not the money, it's the principle. What kind of person would take (steal, my husband says) something from a customer's car? Also, husband says if they take something like that, what else would they not have a problem taking?? Was going to file a police report - just to have it on record that an item was stolen from my car - but decided not to. As I said, it's not an expensive item. It's the principle. I'm still extremely upset about it. SOMEONE - and we imagine it had to have been an employee as in the video one second it was there and the next it was not - had to have taken it. I don't want to take my car for service to a place where things get stolen - and it was stolen - from a customer's car. They treated me well in the beginning, So much for having a customer for life. read more

Cappellino Buick GMC - FLOWERS ON CAR THAT WENT MISSING - Car Dealers Near Me - Williamsville, New York

DO NOT go to this dealership. I had an oil change scheduled for 11am on a Saturday. Arrived and the girl at the desk asked for my information. She made sure my phone # was correct and told me to take a seat in the waiting room. After perhaps 15-20 mins she came back and asked if I also wanted the air filter replaced which I agreed to get taken care of. (So she knew i was in there). I got up once to use the restroom for less than five minutes then returned to the same spot. I'm fairly patient so i figured OK maybe they are running behind and I do not like to complain or pester so I sat there for close to four hours growing more and more irritated before getting up and finally saying something. I get to the desk and the girl says "oh, i tried looking for you about an hour and a half ago and couldn't find you". I was in the same spot the entire time... she took my phone number at the start and could have called or texted me that it was done. She could have came and checked again? Lesson learned to be a bit more aggressive of a person in the future if I'm waiting too long, but that is still ridiculous. Even if i left, how would i know my vehicle was done unless i got a phone call. But the stupid girl at the desk is sitting there texting on her phone instead of doing her job. read more

After a disastrous oil change at PEP Boys which required the towing of our Volvo to NorthTown Volvo, it was discovered that there was no functioning oil pressure idiot light on the Volvo. Volvo America and NorthTown offered no assistance in repairing the light. The only solution was to install a functioning oil pressure gauge. Vince offered the services of Bud to install the gauge package and to repair some left-over PEP Boys' calling cards. (Won't use Pep Boys ever again)! Vince and Bud went into uncharted territory using owner's manuals to install the gauges and repair the Volvo. Wow!! What great service and the cost was reasonable. Thanks to Bud and Vince, they help a senior save his retirement car from being sold! Cannot thank both Vince and Bud enough for their kind efforts and for a job well done!! We dealt with long-time salesperson Nick, at Cappellino Buick GMC. We were in a crunch as our lease term was up. Nick took advantage of the fact that we had to quickly find another vehicle. He was in such a hurry to seal a deal, that he conducted business entirely through text messages. He never invited us into the store, never tried to get us into what we wanted, and never offered to look at our trade-in. Turned out the trade was worth $4,000...a great down-payment towards another purchase. Nick totally disregarded the fact we were in a truck we loved, and hoped he would help us get into something similar. Instead he pushed us towards an SUV we didn't like. Fortunately at the last minute, we happened upon the great team of professionals at Robert Basil Buick GMC. We got more than what we were looking for...the vehicle of our dreams and totally loaded too. The monthly payment was also less than what Nick was giving us for a much cheaper SUV. But the worst part of this entire nightmare came as we were trying to complete the registration at Basil. We were unable to do so. It seems Nick took it upon himself to attempt to register the SUV without a sale or any authorization from us!! He assumed because of our situation, he would just go ahead and finish the deal without the customer. If what this guy did wasn't illegal...it really should be. To top off this bad situation, Nick sent us a snippy text when we went elsewhere. I contacted Mr. Cappellino personally over the matter. He offered next to no concern regarding what one of his "best" employees tried to do. If this is the best, I'd hate to see the worst. I recommend if you are a female you do not get your vehicle serviced here. My brakes have been squeaking for close to a year. When I took my 2020 GMC Terrain in for an oil change and tire rotation I asked that they check the brakes too. They could not duplicate the noise (yet they squeak constantly) and ordered me new rear brake pads. They called me within a week saying the pads were in so I made an appointment and came in. 40 minutes into my appointment they tell me "sorry we ordered the wrong pads"??? Seriously why would it take 40 minutes to realize this and have you not ordered brake pads for a vehicle you sell/lease countless times? So I wait almost 3 weeks and call to see if the correct brake pads are in yet because I have not heard anything. No they are not and they have no clue when they will be. Whatever. My husband ends up calling and they explain to him that there is a service bulletin for these brake pads, not yet a recall but they have been having a lot of problems on many vehicles. He asks the service rep why they could not have just communicated this to his wife after 2 visits and 2-3 phone calls.... Hmmm why did my husband get answers and I did not. Sick of double standards. He stated I should ask for Clayton Fanning. I arrived within the hour, went to the Used Car building...waited...four (4) associates TOTALLY IGNORED ME and so I left the premises. I called Danny and expressed my disappointment, he apologized, end of conversation. Then he left me a voicemail message stating "I didn't realize your name & that were coming in". I hate buying cars. Hate. It. But these guys took an experience I abhor and turned it into a five-star encounter. Before I even pulled onto the lot, I began doing research on Car Gurus. Cappellino Buick GMC was the only dealer on the app with a 5-star rating, and after working with them myself, I can tell you that is a greatly-deserved rating! I found a car I liked, read the reviews, and then decided I wanted to do a test drive. I pulled onto the lot and found the car I'd been ogling online. I never once felt pushed into taking it for a drive. I felt like I led the entire interaction - from sitting inside the car to taking it for a drive. Adam answered all my questions and offered information when appropriate. While driving it, I noticed there were a few features the car didn't have, but that I was interested in. I asked about a higher trim level, and Adam told me they had one that had just come in and was still being detailed. He told me it would be on the lot the next day if I wanted to come back. (I should also mention somewhere in here they gave me a great deal on my trade-in!) The next day I went back to drive the car with the higher trim level, and I knew right away it was exactly what I wanted. While Adam was dealing with the paperwork, I met the used car sales manager. We talked a little about my situation - I had a trade-in, but it was not in my name. My husband was working in Texas so he wasn't around to sign the title over. We had to jump through a few hoops to get a missing title, and then get it signed by an out-of-state owner. I felt they were patient with me and went above and beyond to help me make those things happen. I did not have to finance my purchase, but was counting on the money for my trade-in to be able to make this purchase happen. They let me finalize the deal even before they had the title in their hands. I was appreciative for their patience on this, and for the time they generously allowed me. Unfortunately there was an issue with my car just a couple of weeks after taking it home. It wouldn't start and I had no way to get it out of my garage. I contacted Adam, who quickly got me the number for Buick since my car was still covered under warranty. Buick came quickly to tow it to the dealership, and the dealership got me a rental from Enterprise while I waited for my car to be fixed. The service department at Cappellino is top-notch. I love that they have women working in there as well. I'm a "typical woman" in that I don't know a whole lot about how cars work. It can be intimidating to talk to a man in a service department, so the fact that they have women in there is a big plus for me! I had to wait just a short time in their service waiting area, which I'd score very high as well. There is plenty of room to sit. There are comfortable chairs and tables. They have vending machines, free coffee, and free donuts. It's clean, has a tv, and is generally a nice space to hang out while you're waiting for your car. I'd highly recommend Cappellino Buick GMC to any man, woman, or young adult looking to buy a vehicle. Do your research online if you want. You'd be smart to do so. But if you find that there's a vehicle you like and they sell it at Cappellino, I'd highly recommend you check this dealer before any other! read more

My truck needed repair. I called the dealership and was able to get an appointment later that week. Not wanting to risk further damage I had AAA flatbed it to the dealer. Later that day I received a text informing me that any question I had could be directed to that number with a text. I waited until later the next day, which was a Friday to inquire of the status but received no reply. I waited a bit longer and called but had to leave a voice mail. I received no reply. I didn't need my truck for the weekend so I wasn't concerned and didn't bother calling again until Monday. I called late Monday morning and again left a voice mail. I received no reply. I wasn't trying to rush the matter as I have a summer car, just wanted to know if my vehicle had been diagnosed and what I was looking at financially. I called back around 2:30 and left a voice mail with the service manager. He called me back a short while later, apologized and made no excuses. He told me he would call me back within the hour and did. He told me what the vehicle issue was and when I could expect to have it back. He again apologized and made no excuses, stating that I should not have received no reply to my calls and text. I give him credit for not making excuses and having his department taking ownership of not contacting me. In the end my truck was fixed in a reasonable amount of time and at a fair cost. I've owned my truck and have been coming here for 4 1/2 years. This is the first instance of less than stellar service I've had and will consider it an anomaly for now. read more

My son and I went into shopping for a vehicle with a positive approach and came out of the experience very very disappointed. This was the only time we would be spending together for awhile because upon completing his obligation as an officer in the Marine Corp he is starting his civilian profession on the West coast. He was very clear he needed a dependable vehicle to transport his personal belongings across country within a week. He selected a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited addition, took it out for a test drive and decided to purchase it. We went through finance, signed all the paperwork, put a deposit down. Turns out we were unable to drive the vehicle off the lot because they didn't own the vehicle. They did not have possession of a clear title and told us it may take a few days. Well as we waited and became more concerned that this deal was a flop, we decided to pull out with only two days to find another vehicle. While we were searching frantically for a comparable deal, the salesman sensed blood in the waters and maintained communication by trying to upsale my son into another vehicle that cost an additional $15,000 above his budget of $30,000 What an absolute disgusting move and deserving of why so many of us hate shopping for a vehicle. It was an exhausting and disappointing experience but he did end up purchasing a similar vehicle from a different dealership but ended up spending 3,000 dollars above his original deal. It's sad when you don't recognize a great potential customer and only see the dollar signs. They should have told us the vehicle did not have a clear title from the start and gave my son the option. There was no compensation for the deceit and the disgusting move to upsale while he was vulnerable truly defines why I recommend staying away from this sleazy dealership. read more

Brakes were making noise so we called to make a service appointment and the service writer said there's a possibility it would be covered under warranty depending upon what was found. Came today and was told no chance that it is covered under warranty and it would be $30 just to give an estimate on a brake job. That is ridiculous. Taking it to Zinni's's Mobil where they treat you honestly and fairly. Would not recommend Cappellino's service department. read more

Do not go here for service. Had a routine oil change and the service guys tell me that my brakes require immediate attention, that I would be grinding metal on metal within 2 weeks. I drive a company car, so for a brake job we have to use specific shops--not dealer service centers. After hearing everything they told me at Cappellino I made an appointment immediately at Dunn Tire for the brake job and they tell me that half of my brake pads are there, and I don't need brakes at all!! Please, if they tell you something go and get a second opinion-- they really made it seem like my car would unsafe to drive within a week if I didn't have brakes done. They insisted they should be done that day, really made it seem like a huge safety issue and all the while the brakes are more than fine. read more

My girlfriend bought a Buick Encore 2016. She had it for 2 years and had the car go into limp mode on the thruway, shortly after the "fix" the car had misfire followed by full on grenading itself. So now on her way home the engine light turns on and she gets a text message saying her cars lithium battery has a problem... here the problem with that. It's NOT A HYBRID it has a cell battery like most cars have. 31,000 miles 2 major repairs and an engine light that makes no sense. Although Christy C. explains that her experiences at Cappellino Buick / GMC were significantly less than ideal on the used car end, I looked at a couple of new vehicles, and instead of being attacked like a bikini-clad Kate Upton walking onto a military base in Afghanistan, the experience was quite good. I was given the right amount of attention, and not to the excessive point of being smothered. I dealt with Brian, who I believe is a relation to the owner(s), and I did not sense nepotism one bit. He earned his position because he is a consummate professional, and knew his business. Another sales representative saw me standing in the showroom as I waited for Brian to bring a vehicle around, and he gave me a genuine smile as he walked toward his desk, but also asked if I was being helped. I did not feel as if he was trying to pounce on me. Although I don't think I found what suits my needs, I would definitely recommend the shopping experience. Even the previous poster Christy C. who gave Cappellino Buick GMC one star admits that she has heard positive things about the new car side. (The only reason why I deduct the fifth star is that I was not crazy about the products, even though I am a General Motors fan. DISHONEST. CHANGED PRICE TWICE AFTER RUNNING CREDIT APPLICATION. Here is a detailed recount of my 3 week plus interaction with this dealership. I will be adding this whole interaction on other forums with pictures to substantiate claims. Please search for it. -2/3 Reached out through the Edmunds website with a reduced price for the vehicle. The customer care manager responded quickly, but getting a response from the sales rep was terrible. -2/11 Finally a test drive is scheduled. No issues. An offer was made on my end and the rep said he would let me know either way in the morning. By 8pm I had an email "thanking me" for coming and to let him know what else he could do. -2/12 I emailed back he could let me know where we stand on the offer. No response. Another email from me later in the day, no response. -2/16 I follow-up again and was told to talk to a different sales rep while the one I was with was on vacation (he was but not on 2/12). -2/18-2/19 Negotiations ensue with the deal changing from their end 3 times. The last time over $122 for a key fob (since I had only specified a key and not a fob. However, I was already told to, "Fill our a credit app" to get a rate. Understandably, rates change, but the prices should not. After the deal changed for the third time at the finish line, I declined to pay the additional charge. AGAIN THIS WAS AFTER A CREDIT APP IN WHICH 2 HARD INQUIRIES WERE MADE. -2/21 I return to the rep WILLING TO PAY THE $122, I was told he had to check in the AM. -2/22 Receive a message the deal has been pulled, spoke to the used car manager who spoke of their inventory changing and that was the reason they would not commit to their offer. AGAIN, AFTER 3 WEEKS OF MOSTY TERRIBLE SERVICE, THEY CHANGED THE DEAL AT THE FINISH LINE 3 TIMES CHARGING MORE, THE LAST TWO TIMES AFTER A CREDIT APP HAS BEEN RUN. I HAVE PROOF OF ALL OF THIS AND WILL BE POSTING PICTURES LATER THIS EVENING. read more

Called about a special lease we found on the internet for GMC Terrain $97/mo $0 down. Went to actual website it said $97/mo $1595 down. Sales person said they had to call us back. While we were waiting the 5 minutes for a call back, they changed the price on the internet to $117/mo and an additional $1000 in bank fees and will not honor pricing. Shame on you. I am a big fan of their collision shop - had to bring my lacrosse back after 2 separate accidents. They do a great job bringing it back to the original. I was not impressed with the service dept. I had a "check tire monitor" warning that they charged me $28 to fix. The next day the warning returned and they wanted to charge me another $50+ to run a diagnostic on it. I went in for an oil change and tire rotation (dual service at a discounted price), state inspection ($3 off coupon), and cabin filter replacement ($10 off coupon). Apparently the plug on my oil was stripped (which is a pain because the last place I had the oil changed was at another Buick dealership out of state) so Cappellino replaced it at no cost to me. I didn't even have to ask for it, they just did it! That was a wonderful surprise, I'm so happy to have them do that for me! Oh dear, not good. I had a specific model that I was curious about viewing, and came on to the lot, with a large-sized (gut) man approaching, wearing sunglasses. He didn't introduce himself, didn't remove his sunglasses (well, admittedly, our auras do shine brightly) and didn't ask what type of vehicle we were seeking. I mentioned a used one I was considering among others, he claimed he didn't know about it, went in to his airconditioned office / spyder's web while leaving us to roast in the noonday sun. No one else was on the lot or inside; they all must have been across the street looking at cars at West Herr where there is a consistently professional attitude and courtesy toward customers. When beerbelly returned, he said the vehicle must be at there other location, and when I did the search I must have been looking at that. It was his way of attempting to vigorously route smoke into my anus because fact of the matter is it was probably sold even though still listed on the Williamsville website, which I had opened on my mobile device. In passing, I asked him what his opinion was about the car I really wanted to take a look at, and he pretty much poo-pooed it. Any enthusiasm I had for that car was quickly extinguished. Poopooed is the perfect term because, pardon me language, this is a $h!+ dealer with equally appropriate level of customer disservice, or at least that is the attitude of this substandard salesman. Perhaps he should consider a job selling doughnuts or playing with himself (card, etc) because that seemed what he prefered to be doing rather than trying to make a minimal effort to please a customer and make a sale. I thought Jim Murphys dealership was bad. Cappellino's is worst. The service department lie straight to your face and "promise" you a loaner while your vehicle is sitting idle at there shop for a week. Tell you you're at the top of the list for a loaner. After your vehicle has been there for a week. They either wouldn't call you for days about your vehicle or would call you at two minutes after they close. Or call you 30 minutes before they close to tell you your vehicle is ready and if you could get here in the next half hour it's ready. I probably could have gotten there if you wouldn't have lied all week about a loaner thanks Salvo! read more

This is the worst car dealership around. I paid cash for my vehicle 3 years ago and have had problems with it from day one. I believe they sold me an outright LEMON! My timing chain went about four months ago and they quoted me an outrageous price, needless to say I had it repaired somewhere else. Now, my computer module just went and unfortunately it requires programming by a GM dealer only. TWO major problems in less than 6 months...coincidence...I don't think so! After calling them to schedule an appointment, I was given the run around for about an hour and finally the said the cost would be well over $600. I had just spent nearly $1000 on the timing chain so I asked them if they would waive the diagnostic fee as I was going to get the car repaired there. They refused as if $129 was going to break them. I paid over $17,000 for my vehicle and you mean to tell me that you wouldn't waive that fee and I was still going to have to pay for labor, parts and programming charges. Really, Cappellino??...was $129 going to cause you to go bankrupt? ..whatever happened to trying to work with your customers instead of against them..its called customer service!!......You just cost yourself a lot of business as many of my coworkers are looking for end of the year car deals. I have warned them to stay away from Cappellino unless you want to buy a LEMON! I will NEVER do business with them again and you should think twice too!!!! read more

The absolute WORST..Safety is not something they are concerned with at Cappellino's..leased a 2017 new Acadia..before 1 year and 15,000 miles, one of the tires blew. Thank God we weren't on the thru-way. We were told "get it in here asap." Called road service they got the 40 mile doughnut on and we took it right in. apparently these 60,000 mile warranted tires are a problem. They have posting thru-out their facility with the warnings..In fact the people ahead of us were facing the same issue. They gave us the option of buying more of the no good tires or ordering a different set..Even though they should have been replaced for free, we had to order the other tires. (another week before they come in)..they sent this young mother of 2 back out onto the street with the spare and the other 3 bad tires..We have a hockey tournament in Rochester this weekend where the youngest is goalie..rooms have been booked etc. We now have to rent a vehicle for the weekend because Cappellino does NOT stand behind their substandard products. Imagine that ..rent a vehicle to cover for the new rented vehicle.. I still can't get over the fact that they sent us back onto western NY winter roads with their vehicle in this condition. no loaner was offered...nothing...who knows when these tires will be in or when we will get another appointment...in the meantime borrowing other peoples cars is getting old quick. This is a safety issue at the least..not only for us but for others on the road around us. This isn't the first incident we have had there.
