We had a large crack in the windshield on our class A RV last fall while traveling out of state. The insurance company assigned the work to a two man team of traveling workmen even though we questioned whether the work should be done in such low temperatures (30's). Though the windshield was cracked, it was intact and the replacement could have been done in the Spring. The guys seemed to do good work, but we remained skeptical of the decision to do the work under the cold conditions. Sure enough, when we took the RV out for the first time this summer the seal was failing in the upper corner of the windshield and you could actually see daylight coming in the separation. The insurance company was giving us a run around claiming that the frame was compromised which caused the problem and refused to make good on the warranty. Ray Sands was able to remove the and return the windshield firmly in to its correct position using the right procedures and materials. They also did a thorough inspection of the frame and attested to the fact that the frame is integral and uncompromised. They took several photos to support their findings which we will use to seek reimbursement from the insurance company. Everyone at Ray Sands was friendly and very professional throughout the process. After being treated so disrespectfully by the insurance company, their professionalism and welcoming attitude were truly a breath of fresh air!! We highly recommend Ray Sands Glass!! read more

I had an excellent experience at Ray Sands Glass yesterday to get my windshield replaced. I called the day before and they were able to get me in the next day. Also, out of the 3 places I looked into, Ray Sands had the lowest pricing and the quote was $90 less than the competitors. The gentleman I interacted was pleasant and the whole process was pretty fast and straightforward. I'm hoping I don't need any more glass replaced, but I wouldn't hesitate going back to Ray Sands for future work. read more

I'm a customer for life. After Safelight came out to try to repair back glass three times, I called Ray Sands. Three times, Safelight came over with defective glass; Ray Sands got the glass we needed and scheduled a repair for the day after we called them. Safelight was unable to get the assembly and motor to repair the wipers; Ray Sands got the parts that were needed. . Ray Sands completed the repair in about an hour and a quarter. The insurance company told us that we could choose whatever shop we wanted, but would have to be reimbursed -- this was false. Ray Sands could be paid directly by our insurance company. It's not only that Ray Sands does a great job repairing the glass. The people at Ray Sands are personable, friendly, and fun. There is a comfortable waiting area with wifi and a friendly dog that comes in and out. There's a picnic table outside to sit on, if you'd rather sit outside while waiting for the repair. You can make all arrangements you need by phone. I called 'em up, made an appointment for the next day, and drove over. (Safelight inundates you with emails.) What a great experience. Over many years and over many cars, I've had to have windshields replaced at Ray Sands. They've always been courteous and done a great job. More so, the job has always been finished when promised. I recently had a crack in my windshield. It was at a very bad time as I was supposed to be going on a long road trip within a few days. I explained this to Ray Sands and they expedited the windshield and seal so that I could still leave town on schedule. They performed an excellent job. They carefully removed my registration sticker and inspection sticker so they could be reapplied as if they were new. They also attached the EZ Pass using a new adhesive. The receptionist was very friendly and explained all the steps and time they would require. The job was completed on time. I would highly recommend them. read more

Update: 8/16/2022 Heard from someone there last week in customer service, after I posted my comment, and they just stated Company policy and apologized. Still doesn't explain why 2 of their employees, one being there a long time, didn't follow their policy. I was told they were talked to: Meanwhile I have two mirrors with defects on them. I have no satisfaction of dealing with them. Maybe they are only good for windshields. This will be my last comment about this since it seems like "Nobody Cares" , they certainly don't care. I may contact another glass place to replace the damaged mirrors from Ray Sands Glass. Once again - you have been warned!!!! read more

This was the worst service, people, and customer service I have EVER had. The glass is terrible and had a stress crack less than a month after getting it. I brought my car back in and they were rude and wouldnt fix it. If I could give this place a zero, I would. My husband runs his own big construction company. He even looked at it and told me this was a crack that should've been under warranty and fixed. We live in western New York, this glass should withhold the temperatures a MONTH after being installed. They didn't even bring my car into the shop, they walked outside look at it and said no they were not going to fix it. Terrible place. read more

If you own a Porsche like I do, or any very high end auto that you truly care about, and you have to have the windshield replaced, let Ray Sands Glass do the work. Don't let anyone else touch it. Every other windshield installation firm told me they would come to me and be done in 30 minutes. Ray Sands Glass told me I had to bring my Porsche to them and it would take 3 - 4 hours. Their reason was simple -"we know how important this car is to you and we want to be sure it's done right" And it was. Their work installing the OEM Germany supplied windshield was superb. The people at the front desk were superb. The installer spoke at length with me when I dropped my auto off and his work was superb. There are no air leaks, no water leaks, no scratches on my auto. It was as if it was out of the factory. Bottom line, they are true professionals who care about your high end auto like you do. read more

This is the worst company I have ever worked with. It took them almost two years to complete the job. The agreement was signed with them on 12/13/19 and the job was finished on 10/19/21. The job included at least three sets of doors (reordered and reinstalled), endless appointments, and staff who do not show up. Alex, repeatedly asked for the job to be paid in full when it was not completed. David, the owner of the company had to have their competitor, Mr. Glass come to complete the job. Had to get my windshield replaced - called on Monday and talked to a couple very nice representatives who were able to get me in Tuesday at 10. Showed up at the chili location and was immediately helped. Every employee was super super friendly, but the star of the show was Tiki, the incredibly lovely feline that runs around in the building. It took them just under an hour to replace my windshield and I was informed of any aftercare needed. I would return again for any glass needs. read more

About a week ago I was behind a dumptruck that kicked up a rock, breaking my windshield. I called Ray Sands Glass and spoke to a really nice lady who was super helpful and assisted me in contacting my insurance. The appointment was made for that same day and was completed in a half hour- amazing!! I am writing this with complete disappointment about the way the work being handled, Nearly after a continued follow up, i was scheduled to install on 8/2/2018. Initially the engineer who ever is scheduled, called me and stated he would be delayed by an hours to hour and half, Later after hour and half he mentioned that the part they ordered and received was different and he has to reschedule the work. This is completely unprofessional. As a Ray Sands reputed company you guys should have verified when the parts arrived, Why should it wait till last minute before visiting the customer place? This company re-installed a windshield on my vehicle. I hesitated between giving a 2- or 3-start rating, and only give a 3-star rating because the quality of the repair and the knowledge of the repair was actually outstanding. My main complaint is the unprofessional front office who takes in the repairs and follows up after the repair. Here is a summary of the major issues: 1. Initial call for a service question was not returned; person who answered the phone said they were 'just filling in' and I would be called back. I never was called back and had to present in person to see if they could do the repair. 2. Lady at the front desk was quite flippant, and seemed completely without knowledge of the type of repairs they can do, and didn't seem to accept i knew what was wrong and needed a new windshield. 3. While in the waiting room on my third visit, I could hear the lady at the front desk swearing loudly and unprofessionally discussing how upset she was at several customers. I don't think they realized there was a customer present, and this made me nervous about the quality of repair I should expect. 4. After the repair was completed, lady at the front desk called me to ask for vital information on the repair that should have been clarified at the time of the repair. Again, I will stress that the quality of the repair really was of the highest caliber, and when I was taken back into the shop and shown the issues from the person doing the repair (a young African American kid), I found him to be extremely knowledgeable and professional. I would recommend them for quality of repair, but not for professionalism. read more
