Really no other information was given which struck me as unusual compared to my other intake calls with different practitioners. When I arrived early for my appointment (which was one of the earliest available in the morning) I filled out very brief paperwork and sat and waited to be seen. My appointment time came and went and I was finally ushered back to a room where an assistant asked a few more questions (why was I here, any family history of ____, etc.) and then I waited some more. I was surprised things were already seeming to run late even though it was still before 9 am. Half an hour after my actual appointment time, the doctor came in, said hello, asked why I was there, did an incredibly brief check of my arms and back--nowhere else-- and updated a prescription at my request (without probing for more information about the condition necessitating the prescription). The doctor was nice enough but I left feeling like I had not had a particularly thorough screening and there were no recommendations for future behaviors/products other than "be checked fairly regularly." The office staff were not particularly friendly, barely glancing at me when handling paperwork or payments; no smiles, no "how are you today?" and so on. I guess maybe I'm just used to other, friendlier office staff, but I didn't feel welcomed as a new patient here. Bottom line: My visit was brief and baseline. Previous dermatologist visits in other states involved thorough discussions of my family history with the derm, recommendations for skincare and sunscreen products based on my history and activity level, and careful skin checks all over my body. I really did not receive that here. I would like a practice with more thorough skin checks, prompt service, and friendly staff. I'll be visiting another dermatologist in the future.

I showed up for an appointment to have another tag removed. At first, I was told by that nasty blonde receptionist that I didn't have an appointment. About 45 minutes later, I asked her if they had been able to fit me into the schedule. She said that of course they had because she wouldn't have had me wait otherwise. I made a comment about the communication process, and she paused in filing her nails to tell me that I would have to take it up with the doctor. I was finally sent back to a treatment room and asked to sign a consent form. I did and then the assistant left and came back and told me that the doctor didn't want to treat me because there was some alleged back-and-forth with the front desk. Naturally, I was annoyed. I told her I wanted to speak to the doctor anyway, although I wasn't going to ask him to treat me. She came back several minutes later and said that he refused. I told her that was fine and that I would just make a scene in the lobby. I did. I only regret that there were not more patience waiting to hear me. The assistant told me that we weren't going to do this in the lobby. I told her that I had already warned her. I also told Blondie that she was nightmare, but that never stopped her from working on her nails.

Furthermore they kicked me out saying I was rude. She seriously misdiagnosed me, and ignored the biopsy that just said I had inflammation. Not the skin condition she swore I had. I think it is dishonest not to tell people that there will be an extra charge besides the co-pay in advance. They need to be more transparent.

Searched online for a dermatologist within my United Healthcare plan and came across Sun State…read moredermatology and Dr. Rajiv Nathoo. He had such a resume I had to check this guy out and I'm so glad I did. Dr. Nathoo extracted a lipoma from the side of my head that was literally the side of a quarter if not bigger. I have to be honest I was kinda worried that I would have a nasty looking scar considering its size and it's location which was right below my hairline on the side of my head. It literally looked like an egg on the side of my hairline right above my temple area and was very noticeable in any photo that was taken of me. Dr. Rajiv Nathoo came into the exam room, took a look at it, touched it a few times and said with total confidence, " yeah, it shouldn't be a problem at all ". All I was thinking was there was no way I was going to get out of this without a serious scar because if it's size. I was also thinking either get it taken out now or it may get even bigger and I was sick of seeing it in photos. Well, what he said and his confidence was an understatement. He did such an excellent job that you can barely even see a scar after 2 weeks when they took out the stitches. This guy is a magic man. I couldn't believe it to be honest. I literally had tears in my eyes when I left his office and looked at it again in my car. He did such an amazing job. Thank you sooooo much Dr. Nathoo. Your the man !!!!!
