I made an appointment 7 days prior for a tire changeover from winter to summer tires (I wish I could've done it sooner). A couple of days before my appointment, I called and asked if they could add-on an electrical problem with a headlight and change the headlight and they said yes. I brought my car in a 1/2 hour early. They kept it for over 6 hours before Dennis telephoned me to say they didn't get to work on it because of working on cars from yesterday... really? He apologized and said they could start on it first thing Monday morning. I picked up my car and tires and told Dennis I was very disappointed in being treated this way and I asked if all their customers were treated this way - especially since I made the appointment 7 days prior. Dennis said well, they did have "other" cars to work on... how smug of him. Were the "other" cars on the schedule prior to mine... how ridiculous. This was so disrespectful to me that now, I will not disrespect myself by returning to Hampton Auto Repair to give them my business. It was just a few months ago that I spent over $1,000 there and was a regular customer, but no more. By the way, if I performed My job in this manner there would be consequences. I was assured that if a muffler was needed, they could modify available parts to solve the problem if necessary. I called, made an appointment within a day or two and was given the good news that I didn't need a muffler. I had a broken bracket resulting in a twisted and sagging system, and a couple of burned out gaskets. I was on my way with a quieter car in a little over an hour. Their staff was on task, very knowledgeable and very pleasant and the cost was very reasonable. This was my first experience with Terminue Brake & Muffler (Bay City, MI) and I can say will be my only repair shop from now on. These guys are the best!
